Proverbs27: 17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. I am a Free Thinking Christian, who has left Mystery Babylon (Ref. Revelation 17:1-6) I am a Follower/Disciple of Christ Jesus. I hope to have those I come in contact with, here and in the real world, come to the realization of the Truth of Christ through both the Holy Spirit and with Scripture. • Why does Obama NOT want us to know where he was Born?

There are two lawsuits going on now that are asking that Obama provide a certified copy of his birth certificate. Yet Obama and his camp have blocked all attempts to provide one.

Factcheck.org isn't a reliable source as it is owned by the Annenberg Foundation, which Barack Obama and Bill Ayers were seated on their board.

So why won't he provide his Birth Certificate? What does he have to hide?

If you could, would you please post links to support these studies.

    Thank You in advance. :o)

  • Is there a Mafia on Y!A of the LDS?

I was just wondering if the LDS is the New Mafia here

in Y!A, as it seems that every time someone brings up

Sorry Atheists, Looks like there is a new group taking over :o)

  • Blood Atonement and Brigham Young?

Do the LDS still believe in this type of Atonement for the sins

    which they committed?

    Brigham Young March 1856

"You say, 'That man ought to die for transgressing the law of God.' Let me suppose a case. Suppose you found your brother in bed with your wife, and put a javelin through both of them. You would be justified, and they would atone for their sins, and be received into the kingdom of God. I would at once do so in such a case; and under such circumstances, I have no wife whom I love so well that I would not put a javelin through her heart, and I would do it with clean hands...."

"There is not a man or woman, who violates the covenants made with their God, that will not be required to pay the debt. The blood of Christ will never wipe that out, your own blood must atone for it; and the judgments of the Almighty will come, sooner or later, and every man and woman will have to atone for breaking their covenants."

  • Why do Church Leaders find it easy to Lie?

to their congragants in the LDS?

I find it rather appauling that they would insist that within the changing from the Book of Commandments to the D&C, that no changes were made except gramatical and spelling errors, when in fact there have been several deletions and additions.

Such as the aspects of the Doctrine and Covenants that it contains revelations which were theoretically given to Joseph Smith prior to 1833 and yet were not included in the Book of Commandments.

These sections are numbers 2, given in 1823; 13 and 17, both given in 1829; as well as 51 and 57, again both given in 1831.

If these are truly revelations from God for the benefit of the Mormon people, why were they not included in the 1833 printing of the Book of Commandments?

Also, section 47 of the Book of Commandments, at first reading, appears to be missing from the 1835 printing of the Doctrine and Covenants. However, section 47 is in the 1835 book, but well hidden.

Is it true that there were 65,000 changes made to the Book of Commandments, now called the Doctrines and Covenants, in 1835? If so why so many changes?
