can you physically remove a person from your shop legally?
Say you're doing business in a beauty salon just like any other day and someone comes in yelling and cursing and you tell them to leave but they are ignoring you and still keep yelling. They arent being physical with anyone or anything, they don't have anything that remotely looks like a weapon and are not drunk or on drugs. Do you have the right to physically remove that person from the premises?
2 AnswersLaw & Legal1 decade agonot enough power to breaker box. Do I need a second box or a do I need to change to 3 phase?
We are opening a beauty salon and we'll be running 10 station. Each station will have a dedicated 20 amp breaker. That alone will be 200 amps. Already installed is an electric dryer, washer, electric water heater, A/C, electric Heater, lights, and I'll probably add 2 tanning beds ect... the breaker box can hold 200 amps right now. How do I get more power to be able to handle everything? Do I need a second breaker box or do I switch to 3 phase? What are my options. I will not have someone else do the work, I'm able and very handy.

2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agotransmission 2nd, 4th, and reverse sometimes doesnt work, why?
I have a 1997 Mitsubishi mirage 1.8, 5speed tranny. Today I pulled over on the freeway and when trying to get back in, I shifted hard to catch speed because there was so much high speed traffic. All of a sudden, I could not put the car into 4th gear. Now when I drive, I dont get 2nd, 4th and reverse. It acts like its in neutral when I put it in those gears. Twice today, after the incodent, I was able to put the car into all the gears but then it feels like it gets out of alignment in the tranny or something and the same gears dont engage. Feels like the linkage bent or something came unbolted or broken. Nothing is different on my car. The gears dont make noises, grind or anything. I dont think the tranny broke... I hope not. Anyone have any ideas? Taking it to a shop is not an option. I'm doing all the work myself.

3 AnswersMySpace1 decade agoCar motor spins slow while cranking, Whats causing this?
I have a 61 Impala with a 305 or 350, but not a 283. The car has been sitting for several years and ran before it sat for so long. I am trying to start it back up again but the key wont crank the motor, so what I do is turn the key to aux then stick a screw driver on the starter (on the "s" and on hot) and crank the motor that way. When the motor turns, it turns real slow. I just put in a new starter and a good battery on it with a charger giving it 200amps. The oil in the motor is black isnt thick from sitting. After several turns I check the dipstick again and theres more oil up the dipstick so I know the oil does flow in the engine. Anyone have any ideas?
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoLaptop battery not charging.?
I have a Dell Inspiron 1100. I plug it into the wall with the battery installed and start using the computer. The icon doesnt show it as charging. The battery power just seems to go down like its not even plugged in. I have 2 wall plugs for and they both work because they charge my brothers computer which is the twin to this computer. Another thing I notice is that when the computer is off, I remove the battery and plug the wall cord to the computer. There are 3 LED's on the front of the laptop and the power led and battery led start to blink. The power light is green and the battery light is yellow or orange. I press the power button to turn it on and the laptop doesn't do anything. Anyone have experience in this?
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agobrakes vibrate bad when stopping?
I just rebuilt my brake system on my 65 mustang. It has drums all the way around. 10 inch in front and 10 by 2 ½ in the rear (if that matters). All the way around, I got new springs, slave cylinders, brake shoes, and drums…. Then I bled the system. I didn’t replace the master cylinder. Everything works well when I’m stopping from under 10 mph or so. Any faster and I start to vibrate, almost like its pulsating. My first guess is that the drums are warped, but I had them checked and they are fine. My car shakes bad, especially when I slow down from high speeds, then it sound like my wheels are going to come off. The car has been sitting several years and I know that the suspension is not so great. Is there something I missed or did wrong when I did the brake system? I know it could be the suspension causing this but I want to make sure I’m not missing anything on the brake system.
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoAuto tranny wont down shift on freeway enterance after switching kick down cable?
I have a 96 Acura Integra with an automatic transmission and 1.8 motor. A while back I changed the kick down cable after it broke when people broke in my car and stole stuff from the engine compartment. When the cable was installed, the gears didnt shift right. When it went from 1st to 2nd then 3rd etc, the rpms went up high then I eased off the gas to let it shift. I tightened up the kick down cable then its started to shift bitter. I have it tightened up and tight as it goes now but When I'm going on the freeway and I give it a lot gas, it wont down shift. Also, sometimes when I am going into a turn at about 15 mph and it downshifts to a lower gear because I'm slowing down... Right as its going to a lower gear, if I give it gas, it feels like its on neutral and I have to ease off the pedal to shift back up. Anyone have experience with this?
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoPlasma Cutter popping fuse breaker, Why?
I have a plasma cutter. I only used it for 2 days now. Its a 50D plasma cutter and I have a 110 plug on it. It can be changed to 220 but I dont need that much power. I bought a 10 gauge 100' extension cord and the breaker keeps popping. I dont know what is causing the problem. I never changed anything inside the plasma cutter, all I did when I bought it was to connect a 110v plug on the cord. Now, after the second time using the cutter, when I press the button to activate the cutting, I have to click it several times before air comes out. I'm not sure if its probably a wire thats causing the air problem which then causes the breaker to pop or what. Has anyone had this problem?
6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade ago460 motor rebuild. crankshaft wont spin at piston #7?
I'm trying to get my engine to run. I bought the truck like this. It is a 460 ford motor. I have 2 motors, one for parts and the other is the one I'm keeping. I took them both apart. The one I'm keeping had the valve brake and broke the piston. I replaced the piston with the parts motor onto mine with the connecting rod attached. This is the number 6 piston from both motors. I had loosened up all the connecting rods before but after I tightened them, the crankshaft wont spin when I turn it with a wrench in front. I thought that it was tweaked so I replaced that crankshaft with the crankshaft from the parts motor. The same thing happend. Now, I have all the connecting rods tight to torque specs (45 pounds) except for the #7 piston. When I tighten #7 to about 30 pounds, the crankshaft gets real hard to turn and at 45 pounds it wont spin at all. After this, I replaced the connecting rod rings with better ones from the other motor, and lubed it, like all others,, and still the same. Help.

5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoare the 1966 mustang convertible top racks the same as the 1968 conv mustang?
I have 2 convertible mustangs. One is a 68 and the other is a 66. I'm selling the 68 mustang. The convertible rack is already removed from that car and in excellent shape. The 66 still has its only conv rack on it but its and bad shape. I want to sell the 68 mustang with the rack 66 rack on it and keep the rack from the 68 on the 66. Do they have the same top? The only thing that I think would be different would be the header, and thats the most important part. Anyone have experience with this? I know I can call auto parts stores but I dont want to do that. Thanks in advance.

3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHooked up oiler, filter, and air regulator to my compressor. Can I still paint with an oiler?
I have a 7.5 hp compressor and I'm just about to buy an air regulator, filer, and oiler. I use a lot of pneumatic tools that require oil but I also paint cars. Would I be able to use the same hose that has the oiler hooked up to it to paint my cars? I think the oil in the hose would get into the paint. Do I need to change hoses every time?
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoleak in tub after repairs but only after its been over tightened?
We had the bathroom remodeled about 10 or so years ago. Since then, we have fixed the leaky tub about 6 times or so. I just fixed it 2 weeks ago, and just like every other time that it was fixed, it leaks again. I always put the old worn gaskets and the part that the gasket rubs on when it shuts the water off, if needed,, with new ones. It works fine for a while. The way this works is, you shower and you turn the middle valve off, then the water starts running out the bottom. you then turn the 2 sides off. I dont turn them all the way until they dont turn anymore, just untill the water starts dripping. After a few seconds, the water stops completely. But we sometimes have visitors who dont know thats how it works and they over tighten until it wont go anymore and if I put it back to where it was originaly, it leaks. After overtightening it so many times, it will just drip no matter how hard you close the valve. Can this be fixed so anyone can work, even if they try to overtighten?

5 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoreplaced head gasket and now theres water in my oil?
I replaced the head gasket because there was white smoke coming out the back. Now that I replaced the gasket, after turning it on, there is water in the oil. There was no water in the oil before. Could this mean that the head had a very small crack and after removing and putting it back on it made the crack bigger? Or is it possible that when I removed the head water got into the oil and after draining and replacing the filter, I didnt get all the water out? I'm about to drain the oil again, change the filter and put new oil again. This is a 92 corolla 1.6 4A-FE motor. I also removed the distributor (like I was supposed to) and the timing is off. Anyone know what the timing should be set to and where the timng number are located? I cant find them.
