  • Good HoneyPot for Windows?

    Is there any decent, free Honeypot software for Windows? Or at least a decently priced one? I don't need anything fancy, just functional.

  • Python 3.2.3 code help?

    def main():

    answer = input()

    if answer == "Time" or "time" or "day" or "Day" or "Date" or "date" or "month" or "Month":

    print(time.ctime())

    else:

    print("What?")

    def loop():

    main()

    while 1 == 1:

    loop()

    What happens is no matter what the input is it still tells the time. If somebody can help me understand how to fix this I will be in your debt.

  • How do I add an invalid response (python 3)?

    code:

    time.sleep(3)

    print("blah blah blah blah blah.")

    answer = input("(a) option a (b) option b :")

    if answer == "a":

    ____print("outcome a")

    elif answer == "b":

    ____print("outcome b")

    time.sleep(3)

    The problem is that if I type anything besides a or b, it will skip ahead to the next code, I'm not sure hbow to prevent this, what I would like is something like "incorrect key, please try again", thanks in advance!

  • Why do religious people cry over death?

    If you ask me it makes it seem like they don't honestly believe their own preachings. If you go to a better place when you die then what is the point in crying over somebody who died? It's so illogical.

  • Why are you religious?

    Is it because you want to believe that death isn't the end?

    Is it because you were brain washed by your family/friends/church?

    Is it because you are not smart enough to apply logic and reason to your surroundings?

    Is it because you hink history was faked?

    I swear, theists are the biggest conspiracy theorists, everything they don't agree with is either satan or lies, even if there is supporting evidence. Do you realise how stupid you make yourselves look when you accept science that doesn't go against your beliefs, but then refute that which does?

    People need to start researching things before they form an opinion, this means looking at it from all angles. If you have not done so with an honest effort then your opinion does not matter and does nothing to better the world.

  • What happens if original code you write contains code already licensed?

    For example, let's say I write a simple text editor program and it contains code that is licensed by GPL (without me knowing), does that mean that I have to apply the GPL to my program even if I made it from scratch?

    Another example: Let's say I make a game engine that includes lines of code that are licensed by Unreal, without my knowing. Even if I wrote the code from scratch does that code infringe their copyright?

  • If somehow God was proven to be real would you convert?

    Or would you submit yourself to a psych ward? I would probably become a demonic satanist.

  • Why is it socialy acceptable to have imaginary friends?

    Because a few dusty books written by some poor farmers say it hapenned doesn't mean it hapenned. First of all flaming bushes and snakes can't talk, but I guess you can be told anything is true and you will eventually believe it. But seriously, since when is it socially acceptable to be psychotic and immature to the point where you actually believe that you have an imaginary friend in the sky who can literally do anything for you (and yet he does absolutely nothing)?

  • Best Linux Distro for a Toshiba Satellite L655?

    I really want to make the switch to linux. I am dual booting with Ubuntu 12.04 atm but want to go ahead and get rid of windows. However it seems that everybody with a L655 has a problem with their system not recognizing the battery. I have read some good things about Debian Squeeze, and that the problem is fixable in Fedora 16. However, I'm no pro with linux (been using windows basically my whole life) so I tend to favor Ubuntu due to its user friendliness. Any suggestions or knowledge on how to fix this with 12.04?

  • Death of Internet Freedom Imminent?

    With Backtrack Linux, Slowloris, and other exploitation tools for free download on public domains in todays large internet populace, is this the start of the downfall of the internet? With "Anonymous" and other "hacker" groups having the potential of wreaking havoc across the web, will we soon be restricted to downloads from only app stores? What if the UN were to implement a security protocol directly into the public internet? They definitely have the technology.

  • Should I feel bad for killing a snake?

    Yesterday we found a snake and caught it and I decided I was going to kill and eat it because I have heard snake meat is good and I had never tried any. So I didn't know you are supposed to hit them on the head, I took a knife and cut his head off, and the pieces I cut him into moved for a long time, The end of the tail didn't stop moving at all, when I threw it awa it was still moving. The snake was small so there was practically no meat after I fried it up, but I didn't know that there wouldn't be hardly any eatable meat on it because I've never done this before. I ate burgers for dinner later that night and I couldnt stop thinking about how cows feel when they are slaughtered and how much blood is spilled, and worse if they move after they are killed too. I keep contiplating becoming a vegetarian even more than I ever have now. I'm refraining from eating animal products now...

    Should I feel bad or do you think that it's because I have never hunted before?

  • Marijuana VS MDMA legalization?

    Can anybody who supports the legalization of marijuana provide a logical explanation as to why it should be legal and MDMA (pure, not cut) should not?

    Without moderation, both damage short term memory.

    Marijuana makes people selfish and lazy (of course this does not apply to everyone), eat more, drink more, causes pollution and has many more health risks.

    MDMA makes people happy, energetic , and care about each other, however it can lead to depression or detachment if you over-abuse it.

    MDMA has had many positive clinical trials in its early days, it has even saved marriages.

  • any REAL tech schools?

    I've been researching tech schools recently and from what I am finding it seems that ITT TECH, Devry, and University of Phoenix are all "for-profit" schools. I also found articles and essays on about how fast the computer world changes, I was aware of the rotation of codes, but it seems like it happens faster than I was aware of. Is this even a logical career path to pursue?

  • New to Python (Help please)?

    I am using Python 3.2.3 on Windows 7 and I'm trying to make a "Hello World", but I get a few errors.

    1) I can save as a .py and run with python.exe and the window appears but only flashes for such a brief time I can't see if it is correct or not.

    2) if I try to use F5 I get an "invalid syntax" error, I've tried both >>> print "Hello world" and >>> print ("Hello world")

    My code as of right now:

    >>> print ("Hello world")

    saved as hello.py
