  • how do I handle money grubbers from the past when I open up my coffeeshop?

I am opening up a store in my hometown, and I am concerned of the money grabbers I knew growing up. How do I handle them?So I am opening up a coffeeshop in my hometown. My old neighborhood is going through a re-gentrification. Most of the people that lived here now, didn't grow up here, and have money. Hence why I am opening up a business. My only concern is that the people I knew in high school, many were low income and have an entitlement to "just because I know you, can you hook me up with free stuff, or can I borrow money." Although many of them don't live in the immediate area, some still live in the tristate. How should I handle these situations, and still be professional at the same time? How have you handled situations similar to this? I want to be prepared ahead of time, because I always hear stories when people make a little money or become famous, people come out of the woodwork...

  • My friend's son needs couseling, and his mother won't help him...?

My friend is my best friend. She had her son when she was 18. He is now 12. He is having severe social issues at school. He has no friends, he gets into fights with girls at school, tells everyone that he wants to be a girl, his grades are low, he is drawing violent pictures, says he has secret powers (eye beams) and will lazer mean people with his eyes. He also has seen several scary movies without his mom's permission and obsessively talks about them and ways to kill ppl. Her son is a nice kid. He is melodramatic and I think he is gay, and have thought so since he was very young. He went to a therapist for awhile, but my friend didn't like her, so she stopped. The therapist said he is not transgender, but might have A.D.D. I don't think he has A.D.D. because he can focus and carry on one subject for a long period of time. He lies and says he has friends at school, but the principal and teachers say he is a loner. I think drama would be a great outlet for him, but the school doesn't offer drama classes. (Cut programs). I am super concerned for him, and I feel that he needs help and help fast. I feel that if he isn't getting the help or attention that he needs, that he will Self destruct. (Ie suicide or shooting up a school). His father and mother are marries and they have 3 other kids including an infant. Maybe the family situation isn't ideal to him? His father was a marine and was deployed most of his young childhood. Any assistance or guidance would be great.

  • I have a persistent cough that won't go away.?

I have a persistent cough that won't go away.?

I was sick a month ago, a cold. and I still have this cough. I don't have any other symptoms. I feel fine otherwise. The problem is, I don't have health insurance right now until january...I have just started a new job, and I don't have time off, and have looked at clinics in the area, that don't comply with my work hours. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I could have or what can be done about the cough? I have started taking cough medicine again, I haven't seen any success yet. I appreciate all help.

  • Why does everyone in Politics always blame the President for their own problems?

This is not a Dem, or Republican thing, but majority of the idiotic people on here blame their problems on the president of office? Majority of the issues people talk about on here, have no swaying decision of the president's decisions, and its decided upon through local government.

If people are so concerned with their communities, then why don't they know what is going on? Why aren't people up in arms at their local courthouse protesting, if they are so unhappy? Why aren't people going to school board meetings, or local board of trustee meetings to know where the town or city's budget is going towards? Why is it always Obama's and Bush's fault, when THEY have elected mayors, and board members?

OBAMA doesn't make all the decisions people. There are two other branches of Government to blame and local government. I am beginning to think these people on here, are losers with part-time or no jobs, and have too much time on their hands.

Its just a shame there are hardly any intelligent debates or topics to discus. books are a commodity these days, and making decision on opinions of talking news heads on various channels is stupid.

  • Everytime I go to church I cry?

I don't go to church often- I should go more, but everytime I go, I have so much emotion built up, I start crying. its not a sad, mad or joyous occasion, but I don't know why this is been happening. sometimes I start crying in the sermon, or listening to what the pastor or minister says. There is no reason for me to cry. and its like not one emotion i am feeling. If someone can give a little insight of what is going on...that would be great.

Also, I have visited numerous churches in the past year, and its not the religion lol...i went to a unitarian church, a baptist church and two non-denomiational christian churches....its crazy...

  • There is a flying burrowing insect I am unable to identify.?

I live in DC Area and this apartment complex I visit is covered with them. They look like a Bee/Hornet of some sort. they have to be at least 2 inches long, with brown wings, brown head/torso, white or pale yellow middle and dark green or black behind. It looks like it has a stinger, but I haven't seen one up close. they have a thick body, but not skinny in the middle like a wasp.

I have only seen them flying. They are pretty big and they fly together in circles. They burrow in the the ground and dig holes they go underneath them. they dig in almost sand like dirt. I haven't seen them until now, in the heat of the summer. I have only seen them in the day time, the hottest part of the day flying around. They weren't around in the spring,or any other season.

I just want to make sure what they are, and if I should avoid them...I do anyway, but any information would be great. I have tried looking everywhere on the internet, but all the photos don't look like what i see.

Is it better to start now, to prevent later on? or should I start at a certain age or when wrinkles appear?
