found out the landlords are selling the house we are living in. also we found out they are filing for bankruptcy. I am afraid that they will not give us our deposit. They except the carpets professionally clean as well as the whole house this can be pricey. should I just leave the house and let they pay out it out the deposit. Some neighbors around here have already stated that they have been known to be idiots with past tenants. If they are going thru bankruptcy if they are obligated to return the deposit.

My girlfriend who is recently divorced is behind in her car payments and they are asking it back. she started a new job and needs it to get to work and daycare.( the husband has abandoned her so money or help from him) she is hiding the car until she can make payments and catch up. What kind of legal trouble is she in? She will start making the payments in a few weeks but the company doesn't want to hear it she had a good payment history with them before all this happened.
