With the news of trump signing on the coronavirus stimulus package, I'm curious to know if i'll receive the deposit. I'm a recently unemployed 19 year old. My mom doesn't file for me as a dependent but i still live with her. Also, I've only started working since summer 2019 so i haven't filed my taxes yet. I have a social security number though. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance

  • Does Federal tax exemption take place before State tax exemption or can it be the other way around?

I'm starting a non-profit and I'm getting my guidance mainly from websites at the moment so I'm a little confused on some things but can state tax exemption be applied for before federal? In my mind, it makes more sense to make my way up rather than down so I want to do state before federal but I'm not totally sure if that possible. Please let me know, thanks

  • When someone gets arrested and they are serving more than a year, they would go straight to prison after court, right?

I'm trying to get information on my dads arrest and I guess his records haven't been updated or something but one thing did change. So he was arrested Thursday, went to court today and now he's back in jail but in a different section of the jail. Does this mean my dad is getting less than a year in jail? Will they transfer him to prison later on? Please let me know of any information you guys have, thanks.

  • Is there places in the world where you can still trade for goods?

I was reading a book called Dove by Robin Lee Graham where he travels the world on a sailboat at 16 years old. It takes place in 1965 and he brought donated clothes and ball-point pens to trade for food and other goods. Could you still do this in some countries?

  • Pocket trumpet or full size trumpet?

I'm a beginner and am debating on what type of trumpet I should get. I want to stay cheap. I like the small design of a pocket trumpet but I feel like it has less features than the full size. Let me know what you think

  • Could playing a musical instrument make you better at math?

It sounds like a stupid question but hear me out. I've recently read an article on TEDEd about "when you actually play an instrument, that activity becomes more like a full-body brain workout." and that got me thinking. If it's working out your whole brain would that make you better at math? I'm planning on performing an experiment as soon as I get a new instrument because I've already become pretty proficient with the ones I currently have but please let me know your thoughts or even what instrument I should use. Thanks for your time and have a great day!

  • What is YOUR favorite/best way of learning?

So, I discovered I love to learn. I don't know what it is, maybe the thrill of becoming interested in something and finding out there's so much more and it goes so much deeper or perhaps the just the quest to learning as much as I can before I hit the limit to how much I can learn. I'm currently at that age of self discovery (17 years old) and I still have a lot of time to find my way of learning but earlier the better. My current strategy is to just sample it and dig deep for a couple weeks then most likely move on but for some things, I stuck around. Please let me know of your way of learning and maybe I'll sample at that and see if it works for me, or maybe even mix all of your answers together and come up with a Frankenstein learning technique. Thanks for your time and have a great day!

  • What would be better for an atomic battery?

I'm experimenting with atomic batteries and and I'm trying to find the best form of energy. I'm debating on using beta particles and betavoltaic cells or alpha particles and alphavoltaic cells. According to the website listed in my sources, it says beta particles release energies varying from 0-3 MeV (Megaelectronvolt) while alpha particles release 2-10 MeV. Also, there is a far wider range of beta particles emitting elements. Please help me choose if you have any knowledge on the subject. Thanks in advance!

  • Does each solar system have its own individual piece of space-time?

(If you don't want to read all of this, my questions are at the end of this paragraph) This question might get a little confusing for you and me but lets try to answer it. So I've been thinking about how space works and I've manged to understand how every planet is co-planar with its sun and how solar systems are co-planar with their galaxy's black hole but I'm still trying to figure out how space-time works. So lets start here in our solar system, our sun and the planets surrounding it create a curvature in space-time. So that would have to mean space-time is on the same plane as our solar system, right? Well it shouldn't be like that because then all of the universe would be on one plane and all we would see at night its a bright streak in the sky, but all the stars are scattered. So, does this mean each solar system has its own piece of space-time that's on the same plane as itself? Or maybe even each planet has its own piece of space-time that it effects? Please let me know what you think.

  • Do universities care what junior college you're coming from when transferring?

I want to do 2 years in a junior college and transfer into a university as a junior. I want to know if the universities would favor some junior colleges over others and stuff like that. Thanks in advance

  • Are there any prestigious community colleges?

I'm the first in my family that is going to go to college so its hard to ask them questions about stuff like this. I messed up my first 2 years of high school and i'm working on fixing that while keeping my current grades and future grades high. I talked to my counselor about college and he said, its too late to go to a university as a freshman and its easier to just transfer from a junior college to a university anyways. That kinda bummed me out because I was planning on going into a university as a freshman but that's okay. So my question is, is there any prestigious community colleges and if so, what are they and where are they. I live in California and don't want to go out of state so if you could name some in California, that would be great. Thanks in advance.
