  • How do I get my cable to work with a Charter Digital Cable Box?

I've had a Charter Digital Cable Box in my living room for awhile now, but decided to install one in my bedroom. I got the box from Charter and it came with a new remote as well as an extra cable. I connected the box, the cable wire from my wall, the extra cable provided and the other plug in correctly and can watch television, however I only get the basic channels like CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, WGN and public television. When I turn it to a channel such as ESPN, TNT, TBS, USA, Nickelodeon, etc. it says "Not Authorized".

I also have HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax and when I go to those channels it says "Channel Will Be Available Shortly", however it has been awhile and they still do not show up.

Also, I check the On Demand section and it says "a set top box interactivity problem has occurred. Try back again shortly."

So, I was wondering if anyone has any idea on how I can get the other channels other than the basic ones, as well as access to On Demand. Answers would be much appreciated.

  • Question about taxes?

    Let's say I bought a car 15 years ago for $20,000

Let's say I sell it now for $1,000.

By LAW, am I TECHNICALLY supposed to pay taxes on the money I make from the $1,000?
