so a coworker of mine recently got engaged and her diamond is huge, i mean like Kim K huge. i was so happy for her till i saw it in person. now please tell me, it clear, clear, clear but has

1) NO sparkle at all, i mean you shine it in the light and there is nothing almost like its glass. it weird. every diamond i have ever seen (including mine) has at least a little "fire".

2) the setting and back of it has no holes (all have holes for the light to shine through) the back is flat so to speak

3) the smaller diamonds around the edge are so small you can barely seen them and they sparkle alot

i am not hating here, i have a great big diamond as well. and i know her fiance has alot of money and can afford a big diamond but did he get cheated? she says she has a certification and appraisal but guys if you saw this ring it almost looks like costume jewelry and she is 24. but the no "fire" at all is what has me stumped, what do you all think?

In June 2007 my bf and i bought our first house. Previous to this we had two of his other friends live with us, one for 3 months one for one month. As soon as we moved in one of his friends moved into our basement, which i said i did not want from the start. we bought this house for us. well anyway, my bf does not have a license so he said this guy would drive him to work, which he does. I have no problem with the guy its just that its been soooo long. i was hoping for us to get married soon but now i just dont know. in june 2008 he had another friend move into the guest room for a week... he is still there. we constantly argue about this issue since i said the friend could not stay and he lets him. he recently started making them pay rent, $75/week, but its not worth the price of my relationship. i tell him he is taking advantage, and everytime i bring it up he gets angry. its nothing about the actual guys, its that i never said they could stay. please help, what should i do?

so i start my online masters program sept 2 and i really need my internet to work. I have a Dell laptop and its connected to the modem and it even says that there is a connection so i dont think its a problem where i need to contact Comcast. I can use the internet in safe mode but i cant download anything this way and its really annoying. This guy i know suggested its a virus but i had a virus before and was still able to use the internet. its just wierd cause the computer is def connected to the internet but internet explorer wont open it. i dont have another browser. please help! i feel like its something simple and i dont know where to take it to get fixed.

so my boyfriend and i are buying a home and the question came up about the title, did we want to be Tenant In-Common or Joint? i asked my mom she said over and over that i wanted Tenent in-common. she did not explain the difference she just said "get that one". so when i talked to the title company they explained what the difference was, as in she would be getting my half if something happened to me, when i would want my boyfriend to have it. do you think she did this to be deceptive? my bf and i have been together 8 yrs and she has never really liked him, i think she did this so he would not get anything from me cause i guess she doesnt think he deserves it. why would she tell me this when she knew what it meant for the home?

my fiance and i are buying a home. today we are signing the contract. he has to go to Miami for work on June 28 and will be there for a few months. does he need to be there at the settlement to sign the papers? i am talking with my realtor and bank about possibly having them mailed. is this possible? how can we have him on the mortage if he is not here to sign the paperwork?

it always seems that i pick friends that really are not that nice to me. then the friends that are nice, i dont put in the effort to maintain a friendship with them. i dont feel like doing things for them and getting nothing in return and being hurt again. most of my friends r guys, it seems that they r better cause they dont need u to call them all the time and there is no drama. i wish i had a gf that i wanted to invest time in instead of trying to avoid her. i find people who r good but then i wish they were not around, but the mean girlfriends i go out with still cause i know how they r and i expect it. am i hurting myself by doing this or protecting myself from heartache when one of them is not a good friend when i need them but yet i dont want to put in the effort. does anyone understand?

My boyfriends best friend, i will call him BL, has recently moved into our small apartment. His wife left him in early January for another man and took all of thier possessions, he wanted to start a new life a few hours away and we told him he could stay with us till he found a job. We both had no problem with this at first cause BL was cleaning dishes, taking out trash etc. So after 6 weeks of staying with us we realize he has not done a thing about finding a job, we spoke to him about it, he made a resume, but only sent it to two places and has not heard a call back. We are tired of him sleeping on the couch till 1pm and then getting on the internet the rest of the day. We feel he should be out knocking on doors trying to get a job. He says he has no way to get around(she took the car) but the bus runs about a block away(we live in the city). the only other option he has is to move in with his parents and start from scratch again. do you think he is mooching or did we cause thi
