Now, I know that breakthrough bleeding can be a normal side effect of birth control pills. My question is, when it happens, when you are halfway through the pack of pills, should you keep taking the pills, or give yourself a "week off" (aka take the placebo pills for a week while you're having breakthrough bleeding)? What's the best option?

So I started taking birth control about two months ago, and I skipped those two months' period (like I didn't take the placebos, I just went right to the next pack -- my doctor said it was okay). I'm going to "give myself my period" this month, but I wanted to know, if I take the placebo tomorrow morning, when will I get my period (approx.)? Will it be within hours? Days?

I know that it started in 1996 in Portland, Oregon, but when did it come to Ottawa, Ontario?

*trying to translate it from French, sorry*

All I can think of is 9/11, and that it made international laws more strict (I'm not sure how to explore the "why", and how it did this)...

I'm really stuck, maybe someone can give me some ideas please?

I just started on birth control a few weeks ago and I haven't missed a day, I take it every morning. I shouldn't have my period until next week, when I take the placebos. But yesterday morning, when I woke up, I had a bit of blood come out. And today I'm bleeding very lightly, like a very light period (I've only needed 2 pads since 10am - it's now 8pm). Is this just spotting? Or what's going on?

It goes something like:

"Sometimes I feel my blood run... cold. And the concert (?) stains, will wash away... So tell me what are we waiting for..."

What is it called? Who sings it??

I just started Alesse a few days ago, and I find that I'm MUCH more easily aroused... like, by the smallest thing. I always seem to be horny.

I didn't see that in the list of side effects, has anybody else experienced this? (Serious answers only please!)

I'm starting Alesse 28 and there are 7 sugar pills. My period doesn't usually last 7 days though! Do I need to take all 7 pills or can I just take them for 3 or 4 days? Will there be any consequences to doing this?

Starting birth control for the first time. I know I can either start it on the first Sunday of my period or the 5th day. I'm just wondering if there's really any difference with which day I start it on... The 5th day of my period would be Tuesday coming up, and Sunday (tomorrow) would be the 3rd day of it. I'm starting them on Sunday, but I have one problem... I can't swallow pills! Are they crushable, or should I just suck it up and try to swallow them? (I've tried swallowing pills before, I've never succeeded...)
