My phone was taken out on a contract through 3, and although I am fifteen months into my contract, this phone is a little under a year old (given that one was stolen in an airport and I had to pay for a new handset.) Recently, it has stopped charging (definitely a problem with the charging port as opposed to the charger itself) and will only charge if lodged in an awkward position to ensure the charger can't move within the port.

When I went to complain to the three store about this and the fact that every time I drag the ring on the screen up to unlock the phone it stalls and restarts but was told, rather bluntly, that I could pay to send the handset away but "they wouldn't touch a water damaged handset." This I found baffling, as the phone has definitely never been submerged, when I asked, he showed me that one of the water sensors (under the sleeve that keeps the battery in) is red, although this is the only one that's reacted to water.

My question is this really, do I have any rights or comeback regarding this? I resent paying to get the phone repaired by a third party when it's less than a year old, and I also resent paying for a broken phone until December, especially seeing as I know for sure the phone has never been submerged or exposed to any considerable amounts of water for it to be effected by it.

I'm currently fairly unhappy within my three contract, I feel like I'm paying over the odds and I seem to be eating up my internet in a matter of days, something which never happened when I had exactly the same amount of internet on other networks.

Which leads me to the questions, has anyone bought themselves out of their contract early? Do I have to pay a one off cost of what I would pay for the months I have left or is it one standard lump sum regardless of your contract?

Furthermore, has anyone done it? How were three's attitudes about it?

Any knowledge greatly appreciated.

For Christmas today I got an iPad mini, and made a completely new iCloud email address thus creating a new apple I.d. I have had no problem downloading paid apps, however I am getting an error message telling me to contact apple about in app purchases. As I said this is only a problem in app and I already checked that in app is enabled in my settings. Ideas much appreciated!!

I have eight other piercings that I have flown with before, but these are all very conventional, mainly in my ears, one in my nose, one in my tongue.

Now though, I have had a microdermal inserted into my forearm, but I'm wondering if this will be an issue with the full body scanners I have to go through in Manchester airport?

I know it's unlikely to set off a metal detector, but that isn't my question, this is directly about the full body scanners. Anyone been pulled over? or not pulled over for that matter?

The sims 3 keeps crashing on my new laptop, and someone suggested I need to swap between the two graphics cards on my laptop (which is a packard bell easynote ts13 - running on windows 7).

I recently got a microdermal on my forearm, and I have done a lot of research, both prior to the procedure and about how to keep it clean once I have it. Although I have found cleaning it easy, I keep finding conflicting information regarding bandaging microdermals.

Some people say that it will irritate the dermal and thus heighten the chances of rejection and yet some people say to wear bandages or plasters in the event of submerging the new piercing in water, such as baths or swimming.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me? It's the second day of having it and currently it's still bleeding, I'm not sure if this is because I have submerged it in water or just because of the procedure.

I've been looking into getting an inner lip tattoo and so I was hoping someone could help me.

Will it hurt more than a regular tattoo? I keep hearing conflicting things about it not hurting at all/being the worst pain ever.

Is it more prone to infection than other tattoo's?

I've been ill with suspected food poisoning this week and so have called in sick for today and my manager told me I need to take tomorrow off too. This is standard procedure as I work with food, however he's told me I need a doctor's note? The worst is already over but I am still ill and my appointment isn't until monday.

What will happen if I go to see my Doctor on Monday and, as the illness has cleared up, I cannot get a doctor's note?

I've just downloaded the new sims 3 master suite stuff set as a digital download.

previously I have had no problems with digitally downloading through origin but today it won't show up in the "my games" part of origin, and therefore I can't actually download it.

The purchase has definitely gone through ok, it shows up in my purchase history and I can't purchase the game again as I already have a copy.

How do I get the game to show up in "my games", thus allowing me to download it?

I ordered my phone online from the three website 48 hours ago, and received it yesterday day-time.

It says that the sim card might take up to 24 hours to activate "from the time that my retailer sent my details to three"

I woyuld expect this to be 24 hours after ordering the phone as I did it directly through three

is there a way to manually activate the sim, as it's getting frustrating that I can't use my new phone even though I've paid for it.

I have like two, and it's grim.

I already have a lot of ear piercings and one in my nose, I'm not keep on anything regarding my belly as I'm not the skinniest person going at all.

I'm willing to consider surface piercing, and perhpas even dermals, but anyone suggesting dermals I would like it if you could tell me as much as you know.

what piercings of yours do you like best?

What will I be expected to do?

I've heard a lot about going on the tills (but I heard this is hard?) and also window two of the drive thru (I assume this is drinks? Is this not a difficult job if you have to work fast in a situation you've never been in before?)

Can I just clarify, this isn't my probationary period, it's effectively my second interview Also I'm aware some people didn't have them, but I'm definitely having one.

If I got through to this stage how likely am I to get the job?

I have a mcdonalds interview and OJE (on job evaluation) on Sunday to see if I get the job.

What should I expect from the OJE? Should I tie my hair back? What are the chances of me not getting through the interview?

This is two seperate questions within one really, any information at all is appreciated.

1) My industrial piercing (about 7 weeks old) has been pierced seperately, with two different bcr's. Although I saw no problem with this at the time, it really has been a pain. They do not seem to be healing at all (I should have had them stretched to another size by now, but they are still scabby, painful and have lumps on them). If I decide to take them out and go somewhere different to get it pierced straight away with the industrial bar, is repiercing a possibility? Or should I consider it carefully before I take the bcr's out?

2) I recently got a job in a fast food chain and can't have piercings, I have a clear retainer for my nose piercing and wondered if there was anything similar I could use in my lobe piercings/tragus/cartilage piercings, and does anyone know how effective they look/where I can find them? thanks.

I've had my tragus pierced for just shy of six weeks. It was fine healing, but now it's hurting so bad it's making my jaw ache, something that didn't happen even when I first got it pierced.

I'm a piercer, so I'm used to infection, but this doesn't seem right at all, and I've never had anything even similar.

It is leaking pus, but a kind of slightly bloody pus, and it's red but I have two new recent piercings in a similar area (which are both fine.) it hurts pretty bad to the touch, and it's making my jaw ache but it isn't hot to touch, and I've been cleaning it with sea salt soaks anyway, so I don't really know what else to do? Anyone had anything similar? I want to clean it up as fast as possible because it really is pretty painful.

I now have a black nostril piercing on my right side (so my left side on the photo) :)

I want a new piercing but I'm not sure what I'd suit so I was wondering what everyone else thought?

I also have a tragus, an industrial (horizontal) normal lobes and a helix.

If you're here to tell me not to get any I wouldn't waste my time. I'm a piercer, I put holes in other people as a job and someone else is going to do it to me whether you rant on here about me wrecking my body anyway. I'm pretty much beyond redemption.
