  • IP Address allocation help?

if I have a network with an IP Address of 91.235.58.4 that includes 9 units (7 desktops, 1 NAS unit and a printer) and each of these units need a private static IP Address how do I know what range of IP Addresses I can allocate to the 9 units?

Please note as this is a Uni exercise I am just looking for a nudge in the right direction, I'm aware that the address given is Class A but how does that let me know which IP addresses to allocate to the machines?

many thanks for any help you can give me.

  • ARSENAL FANS... what do you make of this?

    http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/12082009/63/hleb-wro...

how many times have we heard players say this, and isn't it funny when they realise the grass isn't always greener!

My question to you Arsenal fans is this, would you take him back considering his arrogance during the transfer saga, and his kissing of the Barca badge before he had even had so much as a training session with them!

  • Is this Fosters chance?

Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is expected to be sidelined for eight weeks after undergoing surgery on a broken finger and bone in his left hand.

    http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/05082009/58/premier-...

We all know Sir Alex is a big fan of Ben Foster, so with Edwin out until late September this could be Fosters chance to stake his claim as Man Utd's No. 1 also it will allow him to stake a serious claim for an England place!

If he does well in VDS's absence do you think Sir Alex will stick with him until the end of the season or do you think he'll revert to the experience of Edwin if he's fit no matter how well Foster (or Kuszczak) does?

  • HELP! Crystal Maze fancy dress?

its my mates birthday next month and we really want to go out dressed as contestants from the crystal maze (obviously one of us will be dressed as Richard O'Brian) but we're really struggling to find appropriate overalls, any ideas? we just need some plain overalls (we'll customise them ourselves) they don't need to be very good quality , the cheapest we seem to be able to find is about £20 which no-ones really willing to spend for 1 nights use! has anyone done this before or do you know anyone who has? any help would be greatly appreciated!

If not any other suggestions would be appreciated apart from the obvious (footballers and cheerleaders, pimps and hoes)

  • How can he be so arrogant!?

    http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/14092008/58/premier-...

now i haven't got a problem with the headline because what he actually says is probably true, maybe just a poor choice of words.

the problem i have is this: "The best candidate for the other prizes is Cristiano Ronaldo," ... "To be honest, I think I have been the most consistent and the best."

Now he may be favourite to win the awards and he may well have been the most consistent but does he really need to come out and say it, does he not think before he speaks, its things like this that make him impossible to defend!

But being a Man Utd fan, the worst bit for me was when he said "When I play again the fans will love me again." does he really believe he just needs to turn up, don't get me wrong i'll be extremely happy when i see his name on the team sheet but if he wants the love of the fans back he is going to have to start banging in the goals again pretty quick and produce good performances week in week out then i'll start supporting him again but i'll never forgive him for the way he has treated the club!

FQ - Do you think Sir Alex will continue to play Rooney out of position even though he admitted at the start of the season this is the reason he hasn't been performing the way he should?

  • Man Utd fans are you happy with with the clubs decision to appointed Mike Phelan as assistant manager?

These pages seem to be dominated by the City takeover and how it will effect the top 4 etc, i haven't seen anyone mention this and i feel this is a pretty big announcement for the club so was just wanted to hear your views on his appointment, is it the correct decision?

I personally think its a good decision and he deserves it and it just seem a natural progression for him, its nice to see that a man who has been with the club since '89, nearly 20 years, has been given a chance to prove him self!

  • What do you make of Harry Redknapp's England XI?

Harry Redknapp has named his ideal starting 11, only 2 changes to Wednesday nights team, would this team really make much difference?

    Goalkeeper: David James (Portsmouth)

    Right-back: Wes Brown (Manchester United)

    Centre-back: Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United)

    Centre-back: John Terry (Chelsea)

    Left-back: Ashley Cole (Chelsea)

Defensive midfield: Gareth Barry (Aston Villa)

Right midfield: Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)

    Central midfield: Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)

    Central midfield: Frank Lampard (Chelsea)

    Left midfield: Joe Cole (Chelsea)

    Striker: Peter Crouch (Portsmouth)

He states that Gerrard is wasted on the left, which i completely agree with but then he sticks Rooney on the right! Surely it would make more sense to put Gerrard in place of Lampard and play Rooney just behind Crouch with Bentley on the right?

Your opinion on his selection please and how would yours be different?

  • Sony Ericsson C902 or Samsung F480(Tocco)?

I'm going to get a new phone in a few days and i have been all set on getting the C902 but i have just been reading up on the Tocco and i think it looks quite good. Just wondering if anyone has used either of these phones, or even better both, the main thing i am look at is which has the better camera. All the reviews on the net seem to compare the Tocco with the iPhone just because its a touch screen!

I currently have a Nokia N95 but it has taken a few too many swims in a deep fat fryer and pints of beer!

  • LIVERPOOL fans if you had to choose just one would you rather…?

Lose you’re 18 League titles record or your 5 European Cup record to Manchester United, I know you would obviously hate to lose either but if you were guaranteed to keep one record over United forever but lose the other which one would it be?

As a Manchester United fan myself I would rather beat your League record as I feel it shows more consistency

  • Is the "top four" making the Premier League boring? Ideas how to improve?

I was just thinking with the same four teams making the champions league every season, some people would say it makes it harder for the rest of the teams to compete due to the huge financial boost these four teams are getting!

I was thinking that to shake it up a bit they could introduce a playoff system for the champions league similar to the won the dutch league uses, the two teams that finish fourth and fifth would face each other in a playoff to decide who gets the final CL spot and who gets the UEFA cup spot (possibly over two legs?) This would then mean more chances of the the likes of Everton, Spurs, Villa and Portsmouth etc of reaching the CL.

The only down side I could see to this is that Liverpool could finish ten points ahead of Everton but they could still miss out on the CL even though they have been the better team over the season!

Interested on hearing your thoughts or if anyone has any other ideas on how to improve?

  • Try to defend Gerrard!?

I'm a Man Utd fan, and yes I know Ronaldo is a cheat, but I just want to know why everyone thinks the sun shines out of Stevie G's *** when it is quite clear that he is as dirty as anyone!
