I am on a 1000 calorie suggested by a doctor because i have spina bifida so i have less lower body lean muscle mass than normal. i have lost 22.5 pounds in 7 weeks which is about 3.5 pounds per week. could the doctor be wrong about my daily calories burned? is this amount of weight loss making me lose muscle instead of fat due to low calories. any advice is welcome. thanks.

Why do low carb diets say that high carb diets lower weight loss? If my body burns 2000 calories daily and I consume 1500 calories, wouldn't I have a net loss of 500 calories in no matter if they were 60% carbs or 10% carbs?
