  • What is generally considered as Portishead's best song?

What is it? Like, when people think of Portishead, what do people think? I never see people mention Wandering Star as their favorite (one of mine), so I'm wondering what is considered as their most popular song.

    Btw My personal top is:

    "Official"

    Undenied

    Glory Box (includes NYC live)

    Humming (not really NYC live)

    Wandering Star

    Only You (not live)

    Scom (or is it "scorn"?)

    Sour Sour times

  • I don't know the pass to my iPad and have no backup, how do I unlock it?

My little cousin was messing around with my iPad and put a passcode on it. I didn't put one on it before hand (shame on me) so he was able to randomly put it on there. It just so happens that I had to wipe & load my computer so I lost any backup I previously had.

My cousin forgot what the password was (it wasn't a simple one) and I don't care what happens to the data. How do I crack that code?

  • Fostering an animal for pet experience?

I was told that if I want to teach my kids responsibility for animals, I should foster an animal. Is it better to foster for experience, or is it kinda the opposite? In this case, it would a cat.

  • Calling all opera enthusiasts. Guide this poor soul into a wholly fulfilling music genre, please? Version 2.0?

About two month ago I was listening to my personalised Classical playlist in Pandora radio. Then, for the first time in my life, I was graced with "good" opera(the song in question was "Song to the Moon" from the Czech opera "Rusalka" by Antonin Dvorak). Although I have loved Classical music (with particular a infatuation with Luigi Boccherini), I have never heard an Opera that I considered excellent, until I heard that song. Since then, I took an interest in the genre, but I don't know where to start. Simply searching Youtube doesn't cut it, I want to hear the best of the best. So this is a request, a challenge, to all you classy, Opera-loving bastards out there:

Give me all the greatest pieces you can name; any language, any style, I want to love and appreciate this amazing genre of music that I have foolishly shunned.

P.S; I've asked this question before, but all I got was a smarmy answer that read:

"I enjoy opera, but I can't answer your question because I'm not a "bastard". My parents were married when I was born."

So that leads me to say: No, you don't have to fulfill the bastard criteria.

  • What is a very specific (yet easy to research) topic for my history paper?

I am doing a paper that has to somehow relate to American history ( ie. How swimming in the 2008 Olympics affect relations with the Chinese) yet I can't seem to think up of one. Any ideas?

  • If you buy a game and activate it on steam, can you play it on a another comp?

If you buy a game and activate it on steam, can you play it on a another comp?

If I buy a game and install it, then activate it as a product on Steam can I play it on 2 comps at the same time? Does it matter if it's a Games For Windows game?

I wanna play DOWII - Chaos Rising LAN but I only have 1 copy.

I'm buying it retail, then installing it and using the CD-key. Then I decide to "Activate a product on Steam" and use the same CD-Key. Will this work and if so can I play on 2 comps? I don't care about online, i just care about the Lan.

As for windows live, all you need to do is create a offline account, I know this.

  • Some good non-english songs?

See title. I've asked this like twice but people seemed to like giving me rock songs. So I decided to be specific.

Somewhere in the same vein as these three:

Je Suis Jalouse by Emily Loizeau

Con te Partiro by Andrea Bocelli

    Le Festin by Camille.

Please preview those songs before you give me any. I would definitely prefer them to be more like Con te partiro.

NO ROCK PLEASE. I would prefer it to be classical but pop is fine. No Trance or Techno, I've got more than enough of those. Preferred languages to be Italian or French. Please no Asian languages, I'm Asian so it's easier to find those in my environment. Singer is to be a female unless the genre is Classical/Opera (ie. Andrea Bocelli). Please just don't name artists, give song recommendations for them.

  • Asian Stereotype (Down There)?

I''m wondering why the Asian stereotype exists about Asian males having smaller penises. I'm an Asian guy and sometimes people make fun of me by saying I have a small dick. Why do guys and to a certain extent girls believe in this stereotype? My penis is about 8'', and that isn't that big but I don't think its small.
