  • Will switching from temp to permenent at my job effect my ability to get a car loan?

I need a six month work history at most used car lots to get a loan and have been working my current job as a temp for four months, but I'm getting hired on permently this month so will I be able to count the time I worked as a temp or will does the clock start all over again? I know each dealership or lender is different but I was wondering how this typically works in general.

  • Where can I find a map of the relative sensitivity levels of different areas of the skin?

I'm thinking about building a of grid vibration actuators to give me a source of data that doesn't obstruct my sight or hearing, and leave my hands free to do stuff. I was mostly just trying to figure out where to mount the thing I.e. the back of the neck shoulder calf upper arm ETC, and how closely/densely I could pack the actuators before they became indistinguishable from each other.

If there is a good map of the relative sensitivity of different areas of the skin and or some good data about how fine of detail is distinguishable on different areas of the body I'd love some links.

    Thanks in advance.

  • What is the minimum amount of reading and writing a week to maintain literacy in a second language.?

I'm looking into learning a second language and I know that there's a large time investment to it. I also know a lot of people who lose literacy in a second language just a few years after college. This got me thinking how many chapters read and or pages written per week would be the bare minimum to maintain literacy in a second language roughly.

  • Has anyone else had massive gains during down time?

I've been doing weights and cardio for a bout two and a half years. Just recently I had to take two weeks off to do a project for my job. During this time I've felt waves of euphoria wash over me and was completely pumped and put on like 5-6lbs lean. It doesn't make any sense. Everybody talks about losing muscle during down time and I came back 10-15% stronger on all my lifts.

Has anybody else had similar experiences or know why this would happen?

  • Will the confluence of recent technologies spur another sexual revolution?

Portable rapid std tests that are only a few years from becoming a reality which would allow recent acquaintances to screen each other beforehand thus making safe sex a whole lot safer.

Every year genetic paternity tests are becoming cheaper more accurate and widely available, and with DNA being collected and data-based everywhere from routine traffic stops to doctor visits the question of who's the biological father is soon to be a thing of the past.

Long lasting (10+ yrs) reversible male contraceptives like RISG / Vasagel are a also a only few years from hitting the market which would allow men to chose to be fertile when it suits them.

Given that many of the risks and problems associated with sex are about to change, and given how central it is in society, how do you see it unfolding i.e. the good, bad, and totally unexpected of it.
