1 AnswerSoftware7 years agoIndian economy in recession in 2013?
I am planning on completing my PhD and am thinking of the following topic, but am concerned that the topic will be mute if the indian economy goes into recession. Let me know if this is a good topic of if it doesn't have much substance. Thanks , it is greatly appreciated.
The GFC and Asian economies, specifically the Indian economy:
Effect of the global financial crisis on Asian economies, specifically the Indian economy and will analyse the various policies that have been implemented by Indian policy makers, and how these policies have assisted in India's ability to grow albeit at a lower rate during the second worst financial crisis of history.
Points to consider include:
- the current currency devaluation in India
- stagflation in India, unemployment increasing with high prices of goods and high inflation
- India's current account deficit
- the effectiveness of current policies to tackle global monetary problems
1 AnswerEconomics8 years agoIs Euro and EU similar to the interwar gold standard of the 1920-30s?
Is the adoption of a single currency to dominate the Eurozone, and the effect of the economies within the EU similar to the interwar Gold standard of the 1920-30s? it is my belief that the constraints that haven been placed on the EU as a result of adopting a single currency has lead to much of the same issues that economies faced during the gold standard, where a country's economic state and currency was linked to the value and price of gold. Currently larger economies in the EU are maintaining excessive levels of Government surpluses, similar to the gold standard where some countries had large reserves of gold, Does the act of leaving the Eurozone and adopting your own currency have the same repercussion of that of countries living the gold standard. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, as this is a consideration of a thesis topic

1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks8 years agoMac versus PC Computers?
I have owned a PC computer my whole life and have recently bought a Macbook air, my dad owns a Macbook Pro, and I was just wondering is the downloading speeds of Macs always slower than PC computers, I feel like it takes ages to download programs from the internet on Mac (like Postbox, chrome, adobe flash) As well as install programs from CDs onto my macbook air and pro, such s Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium. I just want to know if the slower speeds are always the case when it comes to macs or i it is just my devices. I have checked my internet routers etc and have no issues on any other computers that are all PC computers (Dell). Thanks for all the help. I am in some serious need of assistance.
