2 AnswersSingles & Dating9 years agoWhat is your favorite time that a musician has been in a cartoon?
For me it's tough, I would say maybe it's The White Stripes on The Simpsons or Beck on Futurama.
20 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoWhat is the cheesiest band that you like and/or love?
For me, I would go with H2O. They're not cheesy in the 80s Pop kind of way but the way they talk about how much they love Hardcore and how long they've been playing it can get wicked cheesy but I still love their music.
What about you?
10 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoIf you could play any instrument in any style of band, what would they be?
I was thinking about this last night and for me, I think I would be the vocalist because I could have the most crowd interaction. As far as the style I would want my band to be, I would want the bands to have elements of Hardcore, Doom Metal, and Black Metal influence. Although bands like that already do kind of exist like Full of Hell, Low Places, and Young And In The Way (If that genre sounds interesting to you, I HIGHLY recommend those bands).

14 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoAre there any Powerviolence fans here?
It's easily one of my favorite subgenres. My favorite Powerviolence band is probably Hatred Surge. Although Weekend Nachos could definitely be too but I don't know if I would really consider them Powerviolence.

4 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoWhat do you want to hear in a radio station that you listen to?
Okay so basically, I may be doing a college radio type of thing and I've been thinking about what I want to play. Hardcore and Punk is my favorite genre and they're just the genres that I know the most in general but I'm also really into Indie, Pop/Punk, Emo, Hip-Hop, Electronic music, and other random genres. I'm trying to figure out if I should stick to a few similar kinds of music or play whatever I want. What do you think? Thanks!

I love those bands, but I feel like they're 90% of the answers I would get if I just asked about Emo in general. Personally, I really love the bands Snowing and Jawbreaker.

26 AnswersRock and Pop10 years agoHow do you feel about violence at concerts?
And I don't mean fighting cause pretty much everyone hates that and rightfully so. I mean moshing and crowdsurfing. I was having a conversation with my Metalhead friend yesterday and he said that basically, Hardcore shows are too full of senseless violence. He told me that he thinks crowdsurfing is fine but he called walking on the crowd or even moving yourself on the crowd is being a "douchey concert goer". What are your general feelings about concerts when it comes to this?
Oh and, this was the video that started the conversation (The music starts around 2:00)

3 AnswersRock and Pop10 years agoWhich music fan is worse?
A) The one who doesn't really know what they're talking about. You know, the kind of people who will ask for good "screamo" bands when they don't actually know what Screamo really is.
or
B) The people who think their opinion on music is the only one that matters. If you don't listen to the same music as them, then you must have a terrible taste in music!
I know which one I find more annoying but I'm curious as to what you all think.
17 AnswersRock and Pop10 years agoWhat do you think about this thing I made about metal for tumblr?
I posted it on tumblr earlier but I will just copy and paste it on to here
So, I've been into Hardcore, Metalcore, and Deathcore for years but until fairly recently, I also used to listen to a lot of Metal. When I say Metal, I mean Death Metal, Power Metal, Doom Metal, etc. I listen to all of that way less now though. One of the reasons for that is I wasn't really feeling a lot of passion in the music. I mean, metal is a very demanding genre to play when you talk about skill and that's great and everything but just because the musicians are talented, doesn't automatically make it exciting to me. Different bands trying to play faster and more extreme than the next just shows a lack of emotion to me personally. That's why I've loved Hardcore for all these years. Not only is the music heavy which is something I love in music in general, but with that heaviness comes a sense of passion and raw emotion that I love.
Another reason I don't listen to it as much anymore is cause honestly, I've realized that a lot of Metalheads prove the stereotypes very true. Don't get me wrong, I've met some nice, open minded metalheads. I would even go as far as to say that the majority that I've personally met aren't like that though. The one's I've met are the kind that have that attitude of 'if I don't like a band then they must suck', or 'if you don't listen to metal than you're a pussy', which is just stupid to me. I mean, I know technically those things shouldn't make me stop listening to a genre of music because they don't have anything to do with the actual music but for me, it was enough.
BQ: When was the last time your taste in music had a big change? Was there any specific reasons for this?
