  • Do you tip a photographer that travels to a location for your session?

A photographer is traveling to an outdoor location for family portraits. She has charged a little extra up front for gas, since it is out of her way, in addition to the package price. Should I also give her a tip? I am not trying to be cheap in any way, I just don't know what she is expecting. Thanks!

  • Where is this staue and who is being depicted?

I was watching Ancient Aliens on History when I was taken by a beautiful statue of two lovers casually lounging against each other on a small island in what appears to be a pond. Above them, looking down at them is a darker more sinister appearing figure.(There also appears to be another statue of lesser importance to the side in an alcove, looking out to what the scene.) Do you know who the three characters are and where the statue is located?

    Thanks

    Statue is at 12:32- 12:36

  • PS3/ HDMI sound problems/ TV? Cable? or PS3?

I have an issue that involves my PS3 and possibly my HDMI cable and the HDMI plug-ins on my TV. I just bought a new HDMI cable because I was getting static on my screen and the connection felt loose. The new cable has fixed that problem but now my PS3 has no sound. In addition, I only get a signal from my PS3 on one of my HDMI plug-ins on my TV. My PS3 has sound and video using the red, white, yellow cord that came with PS3 but I am not happy with my resolution.

How can I tell if I need a new HDMI cable, if my TV's plugs are bad, or if it is an issue with my PS3 (it is the older "fat" version)? I do not own any other devices other that my PS3 that is HDMI compatable.

  • Literary Agents- charging for photocopying, etc.?

I am searching for a literary agent to represent my Fantasy Fiction novel and I am finding that many of them are charging for photocopying, some postage fees and messenger services. How common is this and what all does that mean for me later if the manuscript is accepted?

  • Plot outline vs. Synopsis?

What is the difference between a plot outline and a synopsis? To the best of my knowledge, a synopsis is an overview of the entire story without going into great detail. I would think that the synopsis would follow the plotline since it is an overview of the story, hence my question. How would I separate a plot outline from a synopsis? Would it be written in Alphaneumeric format?

  • Nocturnal Scaredy Cat?

We adopted a cat about two weeks ago. Her previous owner had gotten her from an animal shelter and said that she had been abused before coming to the shelter and was not sure of her age. I knew she was skittish and it would take her a while before she was comfortable with her new family and she is coming around slowly. My question is why does she only interact with us at night? She hides in my closet all day, won't let me hold her, won't play with toys but will sleep in the bed with us at night. It's almost like having two different cats :/ Any Advice?
