  • Running shoes question?

Im getting new running shoes for xmas but this time around im actually paying attention to benefits, reviews, etc. I was looking at Reebok ZigDynamic and I really like them but it says "allows key leg muscles to do less, so you can do more." im not too sure about this... When I run, I WANT to work my leg muscles... Can anyone explain this? Also, does anyone have a good recommendation for a god pair of running shoes (under 200 please)?

  • Funny football beer commercial (2011)?

What's the beer company that does the football commercials?

The first one was a guy in a Cleveland Browns jersey and he is given a "goal line attempt." The second one is a guy in a Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey and he is given the feeling of a high pressured field goal... What are these commercials?! I can't remember!!!!

Oh, and if you could be a dear and include a link to the commercial, then i'll give the you the points right then and there! Thanks!

  • This is the time. Will you rise with me?

School would be so badass if it weren't for homework. It would just be a big place for you to hang out and meet new people. And you actually GET to learn some stuff. Notice I wrote GET instead of HAVE to learn. Doesn't that seem much more relieving? Honestly, I wouldn't mind having a wee bit longer school day if it meant less homework. I actually like school and I do well, but ever since I started to get more and more HW, school just tends to piss me off. I know that I'm in a bunch of AP and honors classes... but still... we're just kids. Why don't save the "preparing us for the workplace" bull sh*t for later. Forcing us to stay in an enclosed building for 7 hours then sending us home with 3 hours of homework not only affects us in short term conditions, but as well as long term aspects. For example: I only get about 4-5 hours of sleep on average when I complete all of my homework. The next day, I feel so done that paying attention in class is a hardship so I end up just losing knowledge. Moreover, I'm way too tired to do my physical activity which keeps my in shape so if this keeps up, sooner or later, I'm going to be morbidly obese and die before I even get my GED. And I'm not speaking for myself, but on behalf of my fellow student's- for the most part. Honestly, I have not been keeping up with my homework mostly because I wish to continue my workout routines since I am in fairly great shape, not to flatter myself. But when you force a student at the young age of 15 to chose whether he wants an education that a couple of centuries ago was scarcely given to adults, or to stay in a physical/mental condition where he feels he is enjoying his one and only life, I'm pretty sure that should be illegal. Listen, I may just be any other kid at any other high school who is giving any other complaint, and this post may not be read by more than just myself and the publisher of this question but look at this situation from our angle: we only have one life to live; some say do well young so that when you're older, you can afford to retire and live the life that everyone wishes for (as a 75 year old). But honestly, I would already be rich if I had a quarter for everytime I heard an elder say "boy do I wish I was young again." So, let me ask you this: what is more important to you, time or money? Sure, "time is money," says the ol' cliche... but you can't buy time...

Without further adieu, this my final stand: I will not stand for cooperating with the program that millions of kids my age have suffered for the past decades and are suffering at this very moment. I will stand for what I believe in-- and that is living my one and only life the way "I" wish to live it. Thank you all. See you in heaven or hell. It's up to you.

  • Dreadlocks becoming un-locked?

I'm really considering getting dreadlocks but as I was reading more about them, I saw that it isn't safe to wash them every day because then they untangle or whatever. My problem is that I work out every day and I sweat a lot and I'm not sure whether or not that will ruin the dreads. But what really confuses me is how do all these athletes (especially in the NFL) maintain such awesome dreads even if they sweat a lot on game day and probably whenever they practice, too? Anyway, just let me know what you think about my situation. Thanks.

  • Where do I begin my dreadlock journey?

So I kind of REALLY want to get dreadlocks... but I don't know where to start. I am willing to pay to go to a salon or whatever (as long as its like $50 at the MAX) but I'm still kinda lost... like, how long should my hair be before I begin the process of actually "locking" hair? I read somewhere that 3 inches is a good start, but that seems kind of small. Anyways, let me know what you guys know!

  • Workouts to increase speed?

I have "average" speed right now (not slow, but not extremely fast) but I really want to get very fast. I looked online and can't really find any workouts that will increase my speed. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any workouts that worked for them that have given them "elite" speed. Thanks.

  • Does this count as 4 years?

So I kind of want to have done 4 years of Foreign Language by the end of high school. Unfortunately, I'm a sophomore and I'm barely taking my first language this year. My question is: if I take two languages Junior year and one language Senior year, would that count as four years of language?

So it would be like this:

    -Sophomore year: Spanish I

-Junior year: Spanish II and maybe French I

-Senior year: Spanish three OR French II

IDK if that French I course along with the Spanish II course accumulates to two years of language or just two college credits or whatever... anyway, just let me know. Thanks

  • Is it weird to have sex with...?

Is it weird or whatever to have sex with your second cousin? I mean, they're really only considered "family" because of a church (in my case) and not through blood or whatever. We don't even have the same last name... Haha idk I just want to know what you think. Thanks.

  • Grammar question...? HELP PLEASE!!?

So for homework, my teacher gave us an assignment and it goes like this:

    1. Critics applaud the author, J.D. Salinger, for the way his descriptions of daily life accurately reflect the personalities of the characters. Holden describes his roommate, Stradlater, by describing Stradlater’s razor.

“Stradlater was more of a secret slob. He always looked all right, Stradlater, but for instance, you should’ve seen the razor he shaved himself with. It was rusty as hell and full of lather and hairs and crap. He never cleaned it or anything. He always looked good when he was finished fixing himself up, but he was a secret slob anyway if you knew him the way I did.”

As Holden, write two paragraphs describing an inanimate object belonging to you. Try to copy Salinger’s writing style in your paragraph. Try to make the description you write accurately reflect one of your personality traits (typed and minimum of 6 sentences per paragraph).

On the last paragraph, it says "AS Holden,...". What does she mean???? Do I have to pretend I am Holden, or do I have to write with Holden's style????

Please help, I have to get this done tonight! Thank you very much!!!

  • Which athlete takes more of a "beating"?

I was having an argument with my dad about who takes more of a beating: Derrick Rose, Point Guard of the Chicago Bulls; or Julius Peppers, Right End for the Chicago Bears.

We both had our say in the argument but I'm not going to mention them just to see where this goes. Anyway, I'd like to hear your opinions!

  • What college is best for the following?

What colleges have great academics (for example: they take mostly the top quartile of your class, 3.75 or so GPA and higher, and above average test scores), but also provide a fairly strong football department? Thanks for any schools that I could perhaps look into.

P.S. I was thinking schools like maybe University of Michigan, Ohio, etc. Once again, thanks for any suggestions.

  • Windows 7 PC with free XBOX deal?

I was wondering, when you purchase this deal and receive the free Xbox 360, can you sell it to the gamestop for a full refund or at least SOME money? Or is it one of those things where they stamp it with a "DO NOT SELL" things like they with free games that come with game systems? Anyway, I just want to know if you can sell the XBOX because you would practically save $200 (plus I already have a ps3).

Also, one more small question: does deal still apply to me if I am currently in high school? Thanks.

  • What size shipping box should I use?

It's an average new era style baseball cap. I've used the USPS small flat rate box or whatever, and i can imagine that it's too small for the hat. But then again... the medium one is too big for just a hat... please help, thanks.

  • What type/kind of college should i be expecting to get into?

I'm a freshman and I currently have an average GPA of approximately 3.5 so lets assume I maintain a 3.5 average or so. Anyway, my SAT's are still TBD, and I do A LOT of extracurricular activities, such as Wrestling, Track, Baseball, Cross Country, MMA, guitar, Football, and small volunteer work. I am taking 3 honors classes and 4 regulars. Next year I will be taking 3 honors, 1 AP, and 3 regulars. I've been hearing that a 3.5 GPA is "Great" but that's very hard for me to believe because I know a ton of other people who have a 4.0+. Anyway, I just want to know what kind of college I can possibly be looking forward to. Also, I am leaning more towards the Engineering major, as I understand math very well, science too, and I'm currently in drafting. But also, I would like to maybe get into a Big 10, Big East, or a school with pretty good sports, as they are my life. Thank you.
