Do I have a case of veterinary malpractice?
My cat has had a hard, hard year. First, he was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. Then he was diagnosed with diabetes. His medicine was always administered like it should. When he was diagnosed with diabetes, his blood sugar was astronomical. It started leveling out after a few months, and then ended up getting really low. It was in the mid-50s for nearly two months. I think he started to feel the effects of that, because my cat ended up getting sick last Wednesday with a urinary tract infection. We took him to the vet on Thursday. The vet gave him a shot and sent him on his way since he was able to pee a little on his own. On Friday, we took him back. He could still pee on his own a little, but he was clearly in a bit more pain and seemed to have more difficulty going to the litter box. Saturday and Sunday, they were closed. He was still having problems, despite the fact that they gave him a long-lasting antibiotic shot. We took him back to the vet on Monday morning, and they finally took him in and put a catheter in. They took it out the next day, and when he didn't urinate on his own, they put it back in. They then took it out, and then put it back in once more. By this time, it was Friday, so there was no way that we'd be able to get him due to the long weekend. Today when my mother and I went to see him, he looked absolutely awful. He'd lost about two pounds, and he was really wobbly and stiff. They took his catheter back out, and then about 3 hours later they said that he was good to go home because he urinated on his own. We get him home, and we realize how horrible he is. He is skin and bones. He's lost so much weight, it's really sort of scary. He's limping really badly. He's gone into the litter box a couple of times, but despite the fact that he's been home since 12 PM, and it is 11 PM now, he has not actually used the pan a single time. He seems really weak and out of sorts. He can't even stand up for long periods of time. I feel like they sent us home a dying cat, and they charged us 1,000 dollars for it. What in the world do I do?
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoWhat Order do I install my Sims 2 games in?
I have the following games on disk:
Sims 2 Double Deluxe
Sims 2 Best of Business Collection. It includes H.M. Fashion Stuff, Open for Business, and Kitchen and Bath Stuff
Sims 2 University Life Collection. It includes Ikea Home Stuff, University, and Teen Style Stuff.
Sims 2 Fun With Pets Collection. It includes Mansion and Garden stuff, Pets, and Family Fun Stuff
Sims 2 Apartment Life
Sims 2 Freetime
I have digital copies of:
Sims 2 Seasons
Sims 2 Bon Voyage
Sims 2 Glamour Life
I wonder if I have to install these in any particular order for the game to work right, or will it be okay in no particular order, especially since there's no more online updates for the game?
4 AnswersVideo & Online Games10 years agoCan you only have 3 neighborhoods in sims 2?
After some headache, I finally have all of my Sims 2 games installed onto my computer. I have three neighborhoods to choose from: Belladonna Cove, Riverblossom Hills, and Desiderata Valley. I don't have the options to go to Pleasantview, Strangetown, or Veronaville. Are the three starter towns missing from my options because you can only have three towns to choose from, or is this a glitch caused by the problems I had with installing the games?
4 AnswersVideo & Online Games10 years agoWhat is my cat's ideal weight?
I look at my cat, and I do know that he's overweight, but I'm not sure what his ideal weight would be. The veterinarian says that he should weigh about 12 pounds, but I simply cannot agree with that. You see, Harry is a big old boy. When he's stretched out, he can take up two cushions on a couch. I would estimate his length to be about 22 inches from his head to the base of his tail. He weighs 18 pounds at the moment, and while I can feel his ribs and backbone, he has a bit of a belly on him due to inactivity and I'm assuming because he's fixed.
10 AnswersCats10 years agoCan giving your cat medicine take a psychological toll on it?
We've been having to give my cat medicine twice a day for about three months now, and it's an ordeal every single time that we give it to him. One of us has to restrain him while the other forces his mouth open and shoots the medication into his mouth. For the past week or so, he's been acting abnormally. In the past, he's been a very happy cat who purrs constantly and always wants to be with someone. I haven't heard him purr in the past week. He's really withdrawing from my mother and me, opting to be in different rooms or in hiding places. He doesn't want to eat treats or anything else, really. He seems to be fine physically, though, aside from a limp that he's acquired in the past couple of days. He's using the bathroom normally, drinking water, and his coat is still well-maintained. I'm wondering if the fact that we're 'being mean' to him constantly is giving him a bout of depression? What are some better ways of getting him to take his medicine without making it so traumatizing to him?
3 AnswersCats10 years agoIs my cat's medicine giving him adverse side effects?
My cat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a few months ago. He was being administered 1 mg of liquid methimazole twice a day to help alleviate the disease, and despite some kinks in getting him to actually take the medicine, he seemed to be responding quite well. He was taken back to the vet a few weeks ago, and his liver enzymes were still above normal range, so the vet upped his dose to 2 mg of methimazole twice a day. For the first few days, my cat seemed okay. Now, though, he's acting really tired and depressed, and he eats little to no food. He's even turning his nose up at his favorite treats. He purrs rarely, which is odd for him. He usually purrs the minute you say 'hi' to him, and he's been hiding a lot. What should I do?
1 AnswerCats10 years agoWhere can I buy Virtual Families w/out credit/debit card?
I don't have a debit or credit card, and I really want this freaking game. I've looked all over the web. I've thought about getting a gift card and downloading it from gamestop or something like that, but no! OMG. I just want this freaking game, and I can't because bigfishgames doesn't accept anything but debit, credit, or paypal, and there's no way I can use any of those things since I don't have a bank account. What on earth can I do to get the full version of this game?
