I am a 49 yr old grandmother of 4, who lives in Springfield, Missouri. I am originally from Louisville, Kentucky and moved to Springfield in 1998. I am newly married to my best friend, John as of July 21, 2007. I have 2 grown sons, 1 with a son and daughter and 1 with 2 sons. I love the country, outdoors, nature, pets cooking, sewing reading, fishing, but above all else, I love God! I like country music as well as, Christian, classical, easy listening, soft rock, I like to read all Sylvia Browne books. I work as a collections manager for a local car dealership and do have to go out and do repossessions from time to time. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats and various fish. That's about it. I'm a small town girl, (so to speak) who, at this age, like to spend my quiet times at home with John and visiting with my grandkids.
How to wear wedding rings. Which goes closest to your heart, the band or the engagement ring.?
I already know the answer, but I want to see how many peoples opinions differ from mine. Wearing just a band doesn't count. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

I already know the answer to this, but I just want to see how many peoples opinions on this subject differ from mine. It doesn't count if you only wear a band. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
19 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoAcquired a pedigree pomeranian this past weekend for free. Should I be concerned? She hasn't been spayed.?
I am pleased to have her, but find it a little suspicious as to why she would give a young, purebred dog away that could potentially be used for breeding. The ad had been running about a month so I figured she was gone. The lady didn't ask me any questions as to whether I had kids or if I intended to breed her or things if I were a breeder, I would be concerned about. She gave me all the shot records and the pedigree certification even a shipping label to someone she was going to ship her to in Phoenix, AZ. The dog is beautiful and in good health, but you can tell she's been mistreated. She cowars or wimpers if you move too quickly towards her and she tinkles herself. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to have her for free, but I know these are very expensive dogs and the lady who gave her to me wasn't very inforamtive about why she was GIVING her away as opposed to selling her. I have no intention of breeding her, but I just wonder what you guys think about this. Should I be concerned?
10 AnswersDogs1 decade agoProper techinique for driving a standard tranmission. Hubby says I'm doing it wrong. I own a 94 Chevy Camaro.
What I do is when I'm slowing down, I clutch, then put the car in the gear I'm intending to use after I slow or stop and hold the clutch down while I'm waiting or I clutch and put the car in neutral and release the clutch until I'm ready to go. My hubby says I'm riding the clutch. Is this good or bad? I can change gears very smoothly with no problem, but he doesn't like me clutching style. I had to teach myself to drive a standard many years ago and this is only my 2nd standard car. What am I doing wrong? He's a trucker, but I know the clutching is different between an 18 wheeler and a 5 speed. Any advice from you professionals out there to help me settle this dispute and maybe save my clutch and pressure plate and tranny? I'd appreciate only mature answers and none of the I'm too old for this kind of car insults. It's just a car. I love it and don't want to tear it up. My first manual tranny was a Mustang and replaced a clutch with in 3 months. I thank you for helping. God Bless you.
15 AnswersChevrolet1 decade agoI got a 94 Chevy Camaro with T-tops & need a little info please. When are you supposed to use the fog lights?
I've never had a car with fog lamps and don't when to use them. In the rain? I know in the fog of course, but when are other times they need to be used. Also, what is the skip shift for and when do I use it. I've never had a car like this before, but I love it. The T-Tops are awesome. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated, but please keep the snide remarks to yourself as they wouldn't help me. Thank you!
7 AnswersSafety1 decade agoNew hubby cheating already?
I just got married 7-21-07 and had our 1st mth anniversary 2 days ago. This is my 3rd marriage. we've been together almost 7 yrs. and had gone through this before. We got counseling and I thought we were through this. 2 days ago. when I awoke to get ready for work, his phone vibrated. He answered and promptly hung up. I asked why his ringer was off and he got defensive and turned it on. The phone rang again, he let it go to voicemail and refused to let me see the phone, or answer it. Then he started yelling at me stating that he wasn't doing anything with anybody. He then promptly erased the number and the message. A few days ago he didn't answer his phone, so I have his voicemail password, (as he has mine) and found a saved message from a woman who he was supposed to meet at the mall in the food court and that she loved him! He was supposed to be at the vet having our very old dog euthanized! He denied meeting her, but said he was at Walmart. How convenient since I heard people in the
16 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoGetting married in 4 days. No help from attendants. I don't want to be a "Bridezilla", but what can I do? HELP
My fiance's sister is one on my Matrons of Honor (because he wants her in the wedding). My daughter-in-law s the other one. Finace's daughter is Maid of Honor. Not one of these gals has even offered to help. Daughter moved to Arizona to live with grandma, Daughter-in-law made favors and I only talk to her when I call her, and Fiance's sister won't even let me see he bouquet! I made all the other bouquets, but hers. I let the girls buy their own dresses. They had the colors and got to choose whatever they wanted. That worked out pretty well, the dresses are lovely with wonderful colors. But I can't get these women to do anything. They just want to be there to look pretty with no responsibilities. I can't un-invite them as much as I'd like to. You guys always suggest don't do it all yourself, but what am I supposed to do? I sat down last night and cried for no reason. I'm not a young bride, I'm 49. The best man bowed out at the last minute, I'm really getting frustrated. Advice Please!
19 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoShould I wear the train that came with my gown for a 3rd wedding? My fiance' wants it worn, but I'm not sure.
My fiance's sister, my MOH bought me the dress a couple of years ago when a bridal store went out of business. It is a beautiful ball gown with a 10'x6.5' train. I have done an excruciating amount of work adding pastel beading and fringe (western theme) to this dress. This is my 3rd (and last) wedding and I'm not sure of wearing the train especially since the wedding is outdoors. My fiance' says he wants it worn since neither of us have had a nice wedding before and it will be my last chance. I love the train and know how much work I put into it. I want to wear it, but I also know most of the bridal etiquette. What will my guests think? Does it matter? I want to make my future husband proud to be seen with me and I want our pictures to be just as beautiful. I've put a lot of time and effort into planning this, but I just need some input from anybody that may have been in this situation before. I'm open to any and all opinions and suggestions you may have. Please help me solve this.
