Why do only 13 year old girls like what I write?
I don't understand it. I write well, why is it only the 13-15 year old girls that like what I write. Is it even worth trying if that is my greatest demographic?
10 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoHow can Tim Hortons be perfect?
I have tried very hard to find anything really bad about tim hortons.
I now know that they are owned by wendys, the paper cups are irresponsible for the environment. That they accidentally sponsored an anti-homosexual rally in the US for a few days. Aside from those three things though, I can not find a single hint of scandal, not even one tragic mistake.
That is not possible.
Every large corporation has at least one bad person in it. There are bad people everywhere, they are very good at getting in top positions. Google, the pride and joy of the internet even has some seedy side stories if you look for them.
Does anyone know about tim hortons? Do they bribe isps to censor negative opinions? What is going on here?
1 AnswerCorporations1 decade agoYou should critique this poem?
A question rarely answered
A confession left unsaid
A dream so often cast aside
With unappealing dread
So common is the very thought
that only few inspired
possess the spark to finely craft
those works of art desired
all of us, the dear and lost
the rich and poor possess
the gift of heart to lay within
soft words sweet caress
3 AnswersPoetry1 decade agoChakra meditation induced seizure?
I got in a fight with my father earlier so I went outside and tried to meditate.
I sat down, put my hands together in the correct form and focused on my crown chakra. At first I was pushing relaxation down my body. Then I felt waves coming from my core, rushing up through me. Slow at first then faster and faster.
My head was slumped and it started to rise, then it went back, pushing my chest forward, arching my spine and I started shaking, convulsing.
Every sensation was heightened a thousand fold, when I opened my eyes I felt blinded by light, the rush of wind of leaves was like thunder.
I've recently had a full medical checkup, the only thing wrong with me is that I'm bipolar.
Any thoughts on what happened?
3 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoWhy does green tea cause a sweet aftertaste?
I've been drinking green tea for several months, brewed from leaves in 80 degree water for five minutes.
After some research I haven't been able to find anything to verify the feeling that after drinking a cup of the tea for an hour or two I have a sweet taste on the back of my tongue.
I wonder, could it be that the green tea somehow restores my sense of taste from frequent smoking? I don't sweeten the tea and so I'm thoroughly flummoxed.
6 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoHow can I look at religion objectively?
I'm a strong athiest and a philosophy major. Quite a bit of my course load is looking at religious philosophies and I just can't look at it objectively. No matter what benefit religion has given the world all of it's faults, all of it's lies, blind me to any of its merits.
I see religious people as less intelligent, all religious ideals false.
Though spirituality is entirely different, I can respect spirituality (greek gods as well because we recognize them as mythic). Viewing the wonder of nature and the harmony of the universe is spirituality for me.
I dislike being sort of a fundamentalist foaming at the mouth athiest, and so was wondering if you knew any good books that could help harbor at least a slight respect for religion.

Backspace (yes, the one on your keyboard >.>)
The letters turn backwards and flow up the line
A lesson of loss is left to decline
knowledge forgotten it's time to go on
write down the memory untill it's all gone
Simple pressure and it all goes away
The nearly shown tears from silent dismay
Living in thoughts, emotion writ down
Dream of smiling through a perpetual frown
Never again will these words appear
The moment has passed, it was even sincere
Is it cowardice to watch it's slow pass?
Just an idea, a fade to it's last.
Ahem, as you can tell I'm a bit low on ideas, let me know what you think and don't hesitate to throw me a random topic! *begs for inspiration*
9 AnswersPoetry1 decade agoFull body tingling sensation?
Every few days there's a tingling sensation that pulses throughout my entire body. It lasts about five to ten minutes and fades away over another five.
I (uncontrollably) raise my head and feel completely and utterly at peace. After I open my eyes I feel dissasociated with the world around me as well as with my own body yet also like everything is absolutely perfect. And the strangest thing is that I can never write well unless this happens, it always inspires me.
This is probably a stupid question with a simple obvious answer, but I just have no idea what it is and no one I have ever described it to knows what it is.
