Hi everyone, i am a sophomore in high school and i like someone but he is the complete opposite of me.

We both like each other, but its hard to find something to talk about or really anything. I will explain a bit more about each of us first.

I am a sophomore, i am really into art, music, tumblr-yes tumblr- and just enjoying my time with friends. I am working on writing a book at the moment. I am really loud and outgoing, and i can make friends really easily. My friends vary from "popular" people in high school to the "emo/skater" kids.I listen to alternative/"scremo"/ metal/indie. I greet and say goodbye to people with a hug or something silly that me and that person have come up with ourselves. I am secretary for my church youth group, as well. When it comes to the guy department, i like a small amount of PDA. Just like holding hands, giving each other a kiss as a way of greeting or dismissing each other, nothing really more. I dont have the best past with guys, and now that i do like someone who i believe would be good for me, i am stuck because of our differences.

He is a junior, he is on the soccer varsity team. He plays guitar, and is really smart when it comes to academics. He is athletic, and some what socially awkward. He tends to find the randomest things funny. (ex: i said that someone was chill. and he said: "Chill, as in the slang word, right?" and sorta chuckled. and was like okay so if he is cool, then... ect...) Anyways!!! He isnt very out going, and very much so dislikes any form of PDA. He thinks it isnt necessary, and that you dont need to show off your relationship (in general) for people to know you are dating. I am friends with his brother who is my age (i did not know they were siblings when i met the kid i like). He claims that his brother doesnt have many friends and is really involved with community work and his church. His brother is really supportive of us.

Anyways, whenever we hangout it seems like there is some awkward tension. Also, we dont always have something to say to each other. He sometimes tends to stumble over his words when only we talk, i dont know if he is nervous or what.

I really like him and want things to work out. But i dont know how things will work because of our differences. Please help!

He asked me on a date for this weekend, but i dont want it to be awkward but i do really like him. Please help!

Hi! As you have probably guessed, I am going into 10th grade. I am excited but i feel like it will be nothing special.

My freshman year i was the new kid. I went from a private, catholic school with 20 kids in each grade, to a school with 600 in each grade. 6 different towns go to this one regional high school. Meaning everyone came into high school with their friends already. It helps that i am very outgoing. So making friends was not a problem. I met 4 of my current best friends. But the thing i noticed is that people change. I had a year long relationship, and i found out my boyfriend was actually completely different once we broke up. I learned a lot socially freshman year. But going into this year, i realized that i don't have those 4 close friends the way i did then. I have 2 of them by my side. One has changed and gone her own way. And the other is just not as close with me. I had a group of friends who i hung out with, guys and girls. I haven't kept up those friendships since the breakup. It took a toll on me. And those were the people he surrounded himself with. That is how we met. I started making new friends this summer. A lot were juniors, mostly guys. I found that group through a close friend i have known for a while. I have a group of juniors i am friends with. And we have been doing things this summer like beach days, movies, etc. I am scared my two best friends and the new group secretly doesn't want me around. I am an artsy person, you could say, but my friends are not. The new group of friends, who are juniors, are in two different bands. But we all get along due to the random side of us, enjoying metal/rock music, and just enjoying our summer at concerts.

But besides that, i don't have any real talent. I didn't join clubs, or sports. I am really into music and art. I want to sign up for guitar lessons at my school this year. And i am going to apply to be in National Art Honor Society. The art department teachers requested i do so.

Besides a few football games and a dance here and there, i was pretty unsocial out of school. I didn't do anything with friends or go to clubs like i said.

I guess my question is, how do i continue to extend my group of friends? and How do i make this year better than last?

Hi I am going to be a sophomore this fall. I am pretty well rounded, artsy, surround myself by a large amount of friends. Enjoy high school. But there is one issue. I am not sure how to be prepared. What is different about this year compared to freshman year?

And so far i am very organized and on my game. I have probably done more than anyone this summer. I wrote "Date:" and "Lesson:" on each page of my notebooks and binders. Each day in my agenda has the block schedule written out, and everything is in a pile and ready to go. I have 35 Days left till school starts and i am still a bit nervous.

How do i make the best out of this year? I am going to be in national art honor society as well. Please help. This is my schedule:

My computer crashed and wont work. We ended up having to buy an entire new computer tower. Which means i have lost of 800 songs from itunes that i had put on free/through cds friends have let me borrow. Is there anyway i can access my itunes account from my new computer

I feel like I don't really have a great idea on who I am in high school. And who my group of friends should/are. I have brown hair with blonde underneath and my bangs are blonde. I have regular piercings (1st and 2nd eating holes) I wear band tshirts, or vintage shirts. I shop at hot topic, forever 21, wet seal, and love culture. I wear jeans no matter the season. And either vans, converse, or boots. I listen to postharcore, scremo, metal, etc along those lines. I am in love with the lead singers of bvb,bmth, sws, ptv and a few other bands. I do Taekwondo. For fun I redecorate the walls in my room and listen to music. My group of friends have the same interests but not the same interests as me. They all know what each other is talking about or songs. I cant get into their music. I love them though. I am scared of being 100% myself because I am very random sometimes and my other secret group of friends are pretty amazing. I feel like I dont really know who I am. I believe in Christ but I love doing science research and figuring out philosophy. I am not big into sports. Please help me figure out who I am and where I belong in school. Thanks:)

What questions do you have so i can discover and look up things that i have never considered before.

So the past 6 months ive been really wanting to learn how to play and recently i decided that i am going to accomplish that. But i really need to know which type of guitar to get and how much it would cost. I will be purchasing it myself and try to earn the money. I am 15. I already know where i will be going for lessons but i am going to need to put some extra effort into this. Any help and links would be appreciated!

I am in an honors class for physics and i wanted to do a project that is personal. I take taekwondo and i want to use that. I am not sure if i should use speed and momentum or acceleration and displacement.

I recently started high school, i started thinking i would have no friends and now i am flustered with a lot of friends. I know a majority of freshman (there are 600 freshman) and yet sometimes i just want to be invisible. What does this mean? I write all this dark and depressing things but in reality i am not alone and depressed... i don't understand:(

Hey! I am going to be a freshman this year! and rust me ik it will be a culture shock. I used to go to a little catholic school with about 20 kids in my GRADE and now there are 600kids in my GRADE! haha. So i was wondering if i should use a tote, or backpack and purse. I am in all honor classes and i am doing artsy clubs. I like things pretty organized and i like to be early to class that way i cvan get everything organzied and get out of the classroom quicker. I am not bringing a lunch so that is out of the question!

Hi, im 14 im going to me a freshman. Its my first time i will be going to a public school. My school is large, there are around 600 freshmans. I have been with the same people, same faces, and same environment my whole life. I am pretty nervous. I know the basic answer will be stay true, enjoy it.it goes by fast, people change, and have fun. But i would really love some awesome honest answer if you could! Oh and this is another thing. My old school had 22 kids in my grade and i don't know anyone at my high school. Oh also if you can, how much do girls usually spend on back to school clothes because i have never had to go regular clothing shopping for school. I already asked a similar question a while ago but this time i have more info :) Okay so i am 15, i have medium leangth hair it is naturally brown but i died a majority of it blonde but you can still tell it is brwn of couse. I wear converse, combat boots, and vans. Jeans(dark wash, colored, or white), band tshirts, owl shirts, cute comic shirts with a sweatshirt usually. If im goin out somewhere i will tend to wear leggings, a tank top under a long lace, or transparent top with a beanie and converse. For dresses i wear vintage styled. I listen to music like MGMT, Yeah yeah yeahs, death cab for cutie, arcade fire, the shins, Tegan & Sara, the postal service, bon iver, rogue wave and etc... My top 5 favs are :writing, photgraphy, converse, sunsets, and hanging out with my boys (my skater "bros") umm. Hope that was enough infro to help you aswer my question<33 Biaaa!

I am going to a sleep away camp and i am really exicted but sadly i have to wait four hours before i leave. And also for my second question. It is a two hour car ride so what should i do to keep myself busy?

I love writing, but i enjoy "writing it my mind" and on paper. But when it comes to my book i just like keeping it all up in my brain. How to i find the want to write it all down? I know the book almost word for word now.

My boyfriend is almost a foot and a half taller than me and we just started dating, any tips on our kisses, hugs, etc...
