  • Which foundation should I go for, Tarte Amazonian Clay or Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme?

I have very sensitive skin, and most foundations from the drugstore tend to break me out so I'm considering splurging on a foundation. I normally have oily skin, but I'm on Retin A and that causes my skin to become dehydrated and can give me dry patches that makeup can cling to. Which foundation is better, especially for oily/dehydrated skin?

    Thank you!

  • Would it be okay to use Color Oops before going to a salon?

I've been dying my hair a fairly bright red (Garnier Olia Dark Intense Auburn) since February, and I'm ready for a change. I'm planning on going an ombré in order to help me grow out my naturally light hair and hopefully stop dying it. I have an appointment at a salon Wednesday, but I am considering purchasing a box or two of Color Oops beforehand. I figured that it would be easier to help lift the red for the stylist and also more gentle on my hair than bleaching it multiple times. Would this be a good idea or would it actually make the process more difficult?

  • How to tell strict mother about older boyfriend?

I m 18 years old, and my boyfriend just turned 24. We ve been talking for several months, and finally made the huge decision to actually date. His parents already know, but I m not sure how my parents will react. I ve only had one boyfriend in the past, who was three years older than me. My mom and step dad thought even he was too old for me. Granted, I was younger at the time, but it still makes me nervous to tell them about a guy six years older than me. What would be the best way to approach the subject?

  • How should I tell a friend I like him?

So I'm really good friends with this guy, but I've also liked him a lot for quite some time. He has been flirting with me lately and all my friends say it's obvious that he likes me, but I'm still not sure. The whole situation is stressing me out, so I've decided that I just need to get it off my chest and tell him. However, I really don't want to pressure him by putting him on the spot or ruin our friendship. I'm considering asking him for advice, then explaining to him that I've caught feelings for one of my friends and I don't know what to do. If he asks who, I'll tell him it's him. But if he doesn't, I may use whatever advice he gives me on himself. It's the least confrontational way I can think of, but it seems rather middle school-ish. Should I do it, or should I find another way?

    Thank you!

  • Constant mixed signals from a guy: what to do?

Where to begin? Well, I have a class with this guy and I've fallen for him pretty hard. However, when I first began talking to him, he was pretty messed up from his last relationship, so I decided to just become friends with him first. This put me in the friend zone for quite a while, but lately I've been getting a lot of mixed signals from him. I won't go into detail about all of them, but one sticks out to me and frustrates me to no end. Out of the blue he texted me a picture with the quote, "People call these things imperfections, but they're not. Oh, that's the good stuff. And then we get to choose who we let in to our weird little worlds. You're not perfect, sport, and let me save you the suspense. This girl you met, she isn't perfect either. But the question is whether or not you're perfect for each other." With no explanation. I didn't want to jump to conclusions or get my hopes up, so I simply replied telling him that I really liked the quote. After that, he kind of blew it off and told me the movie it's from is a great movie (Good Will Hunting) and that I should watch it when if get the time. Later that day, he was telling me about annoyances in his life recently and thanked me for being a "good friend". I am completely bumfuzzled and unsure of what to do. Any advice?

    Thank you!

  • How can I flirt with this guy (possibly exchange numbers)?

There's a really cute guy that works at my local Dairy Queen. We've only spoken when I've been through the drive thru, though, so we haven't really had a legitimate conversation. Plus, I'm pitifully shy--I get way too nervous to even try to talk or flirt. The most flirtatious encounter I've ever had with him happened Saturday. I had a pan of brownies (only a few left) in my passenger seat. He asked what they were and I offered him one, which he took. He also spotted me some change that I was short on.

Not much of an encounter, I know. How can I talk to/flirt with him despite my anxiety? Maybe even get his number, if I'm lucky xD

    Thank you!

  • What is the best drugstore foundation that will not cause breakouts?

I currently use Revlon Colorstay Whipped in 150 Buff and I love the coverage, consistency, and lasting power, but it clogs my pores pretty bad :( I'm quite pale, I have really oily skin, and I have redness, under eye circles, blackheads, and a few pimples to cover. I use Rimmel Match Perfection concealer and Rimmel Stay Matte powder if it helps. Shade recommendations would be a great help :D

  • How could I style this shirt for school?

    I really like this shirt:

    http://m.hottopic.com/hottopic/Girls/Tanks/Pierce%...

But I can't wear tank tops/show shoulders at school. How could I make it school appropriate? Also, how could I make it a little more feminine/less edgy? What shoes, jewelry, etc. to wear?

    Thank you!

  • I can't remember my PlayStation Network password?

I cannot remember my PSN password, and the site is not helping at all. When I click "forgot password" and type in my e-mail, birthday, and the CAPTCHA, it will not send. I really really would like to be able to sign into my account, so if anyone could, help that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • Prom: What kind of wrist corsage will look best with this royal blue dress?

I am no good with flowers or accessories, so I definitely need some help with this one.

Here's my dress (excuse how weird it looks in the bust, I wasn't wearing a strapless bra and I had to tuck the straps and the top part in ^_^'):

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/75864235@N08/86497008...

And I don't know if it'll help any, but here's my jewelry as well:

I was thinking about going with darker colors instead of white... I did it last year and I think it looked much better and more unique than white. If it helps, I highly doubt I'll be using real flowers.

    Thank you so much!

  • Prom: Any makeup tips for this dress?

Here's my dress (excuse how weird the bust looks, I wasn't wearing a strapless bra when I tried it on so I had to tuck in my straps and part of the cup ^_^'):

    My jewelry:

I plan to wear my hair in a chignon-type thing. In case you can't tell clearly in the first picture, I'm fair and cool skinned, I have red hair with highlights (it's faded in the picture), and green/hazel eyes.

    Thank you!

  • How would a sixteen year old go about finding a half sibling?

Before my father died, he told me about him getting a girl pregnant when he was eighteen. He said that he ran off to Texas and she ran off to North Carolina. She called my grandma often to get ahold of my dad, but she never would give her contact information for him.

The only thing I know for sure is their birth year, and that they may have been born in North Carolina. I'm not sure if they have my dad's last name or not, and I don't know their mother's name. I've tried searching birth records for North Carolina, but I can't find any. My grandma and dad, along with the majority of his family, are now dead, so I can't get any additional information. I would love to find my sibling, so please any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

  • How could a Valkyrie be used be modified to be used in modern literature?

I'm planning a story that has an old mythical creature that is modernized as a character. I like the idea of a Valkyrie from Nordic mythology, but I'm not exactly sure how to modify it to fit a more modern setting.

    Thanks!

  • If a student is injured on a school bus, who holds liability and what can be done?

A friend of mine was on the bus a few days ago and the driver unnecessarily slammed the brakes. It caused his head to slam into the seat in front of him and bust his nose. He is a free bleeder, so blood was gushing rapidly and wouldn't stop. The whole 30 minute drive to school, the driver made no attempt to stop and help, she left it to the other students on the bus to clean it up and try to stop it (which could be putting them in danger). When he got to school, the students helped him to the office where the nurse got the blood to stop after around five to ten minutes. He had to go to the hospital afterwards.

Due to several other mishaps with the same driver (speeding past vocational students who are standing by the bus before its time to leave and having them get ISS, telling poorer students that she knows the "smell" on the bus is them and she wouldn't pick them up if she wouldn't lose her job, throwing a students belongings off the bus and pushing him out because he picked up a water bottle; to name a few), his grandma threatened to sue this time. Almost in retaliation, the next day she suspended him off the bus for three days for "exaggerating situations" when he said he busted his face.

  • What could this disturbing dream mean?

I experience nightmares quite frequently, but this is the most disturbing dream I have had in a while:

It took place somewhere on a tropical island, in a small village. I was walking into the village with someone, but when we got further into it, we noticed all the houses were burnt. It wasn't like what a normal house fire would look like; either the houses were completely destroyed or in tact and there were no black chars, just light gray ashes everywhere. Both the person and I got eerie feelings and began to retreat, but there was something that prevented us from turning around. As we were walking backwards from the village, figures started to rise from the ashes. They looked like gray, ashy, demented children, all with bright eyes. They kept crawling towards us in animalistic or unnatural ways. All of a sudden we were stuck in place and no longer able to walk backwards. After a while of the children crawling around us and somehow torturing us without touching us. Then we began floating to a hut that looked like it was untouched. Inside there was a huge pile of ash. An evil face appeared and began telling us something, but I'm not sure what. It and the children began torturing us again and then we were thrown out of the forest and towards the jungle, but it seemed like slow motion and we could still see the children writhing about on the ground. I woke up before we landed.

This dream is definitely in my top 3 most disturbing dreams and I would really appreciate knowing if it has any sort of meaning or symbolic nature. Thank you!

  • Constant sharp pain in lower abdominal/pelvic area?

Starting around Thursday, I began having period-like cramps in my lower abdomen. I got off my period nearly two weeks ago. By midday on Saturday, the cramps got much stronger and last night became much more painful and strongly concentrated near my right hip. I tried the thing where you push in on the spot of the pain. While I'm pushing in the pain goes away, but when I let go it comes back (no sharper). I've also been getting pretty bad headaches for the past couple of days and ibuprofen somewhat helps those.

    Thanks!

  • What are some open-world games like Jak and Daxter for PlayStation 3?

I really miss these sort of games (Jak and Daxter remains to be my favorite game) and I just can't seem to find anything like it for PS3.

  • How can a person that is bad with hair quickly and easily scrunch it (or do anything else)?

My natural hair has pretty waves in it, but the texture doesn't look good. It's kind of poofy and has a lot of flyaways. My mom won't really spend the money on glazes or serums to smooth it out. I'm really bad at hair and the only thing I can do decent is straighten it, which I get tired of doing. I can't braid it, twist it into buns, or do the sock technique properly at night or make it look good. I'm so bored with it and I'm tired of just straightening it or leaving it normal, and I can only afford about ten or fifteen minutes to work on it in the morning. I found some Garnier Fructis XXL Thickening Mousse so I figured I could try to learn to scrunch it, but any hairstyle or tips will do. If it makes a difference, I have dirty blonde hair with blonde and red (but not so bright/obviously colored) streaks.

    Thanks!
