Interested in Colorado gunsmithing schools, how are the laws?
Id like to relocate from AZ to CO to pursue gunsmithing. What are the current firearm laws and restrictions like up there? Ive looked into it a fair bit, but id like to get the scoop from anyone here who may know.
3 AnswersHunting8 years agoMaking money painting camouflage on rifles?
I've painted some pretty unique rifles camouflage for both family and friends. At this point ive done maybe 10 or so projects using a variety of patterns and stencils, most of which have turned out well and satisfied the owner. I've been told I could possibly advertise and make money doing this.. My question is, would people actually pay someone else to do this? If I were to make business cards and hand them out at gun shows and shops, would I gain clientele?
5 AnswersHunting8 years agoRG3 or D. Brees this week?
Ok so who should i start this week in fantasy at the QB spot? RG3 or Brees?
The Saints are going up against the Bucs and the Skins are playing the Giants. At the moment I seem to be leaning a bit more toward Brees, but Griffin has been putting up respectable fantasy points this season.
Basically the way I see it is, The Giants ahve a better all-around D than the Bucs do, so I'm thinking i oughta start Brees. Besides, the Saints must be hungry for a W.
What do you think?
6 AnswersFantasy Sports9 years agoAnyone else notice this during the VP debate?
On the subject of international affairs, about military occupancy, Ryan said, "Look, nobody is suggesting military force in Syria." Just as he said this, the camera was on Biden and he quickly turned his head and looked straight at the camera for a moment with his eyes wide open with a look of surprise, then quickly looked away..
Did anyone else catch this? And what do you make of it?
In my opinion, his quick expression struck me as if he was thinking something like 'Oh sh*t, that's actually part of our plan.'
Obviously Joe Biden's behavior was pretty wild an out of place.. So I didn't know what to make of much of it.. What do you think?

2 AnswersFootball (American)9 years agoLegit tough question for fellow Christians?
I know your religion preaches that homosexuality is a sin and so forth. I also know your religion sees abortion as a big NoNo... But say you could know a child-to-be is going to be gay, whats so wrong with aborting it. Furthermore, if time could be turned back, does every living homosexual deserve to have been aborted in the first place?
I'm a Christian but im trying to make sense of this cause it's confusing me and I have a lesbian friend.
Thanks!!

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoConfucianism: Religion or Philosophy?
I'm taking a Comparative Religions class this semester and have a test tomorrow. I procrastinated and read all of each chapter today, about 50 pages on each, and studied for hours. Reading both in a day leaves me comparing both. And honestly, of the several religions I've studied this far, Christianity seems like a complete joke. But I really enjoyed studying Confuciansm, mainly because of its focus on the "here and now" & its practicality. But it seems far more philosophical than religious, which is how I think it oughta be.
What's your take on Confucianism and its teaching?
And how do you think it compares to other religions?
Thanks

7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoHow many fantasy teams do you personally manage per season?
Last year was the first year I got involved in fantasy and made one team but never followed it..
This season I'm really getting into it and have liked carefully following players and managing my fantasy teams. I thought the drafting was so fun so I ended up making 3 separate teams. (All thru NFL.com)
I keep forgetting who ive got to each team tho and I'm wondering if 3 teams at time will make me get off track.

Fantasy Sports9 years agoPainted My Squirrel Rifle A New Camo - Awesome w/ pics?
Decided to lay some fresh coats on the GAMO CFX .177 air rifle.. This thing man handles squirrels and the like, all day long, year round. I picked it up for $50... A friend had bought it only 2-3 months earlier back when it retailed at like $300... Fool.
I find myself tweaking the paint often; it's seen at least 5 different patterns, but the latest, is downright badass IMO. Wanted to get some opinions.
This how she sat just days ago
It was a job I did in the spur of the moment so I didn't even have the preferable flat camo Krylon. Turned out ok, but now I'm living up the ponderosa pines of north central AZ, Prescott. So I had to darken it up.
http://i1050.photobucket.com/albums/s411/steezmage...
This time I got the optimal paints and decided to do it proper. Grabbed a half dozen cans in various browns, greens, and tans.
http://i1050.photobucket.com/albums/s411/steezmage...
The key is not to over think it.. Or else, before you know it, your pissed off and nothing is falling together how you envisioned.. So I gathered my supplies, relaxed and let it flow.
The prep is key. I wanted the scope painted to so tapping things off couldn't be rushed..
Layed down 2 colors for the base, tan and green. Then layed a sheet of netting on her, and hit her with a bit of everything, but mostly brown and hunter green. I thought that would finish off the pattern but it really didn't have much depth to it. Despite everything ive heard about how you ought not use black on a camo job, I did it anyways. Grabbed some flat black, cut several stencils out of paper plates (variety is a must), and layed down tiger style stripes. BodaBing. The black brought the entire thing together real well.

5 AnswersHunting9 years agoLooking for the dankest dubstep/bass drop?
I feel like I've kinda hit a dead end with my dubstep selection. I've got like 60 mixes and now I feel like I've heard it all. I need more tho!!!
The style I like is usually pretty basic, some lyrics (but not so much that the bass and beats are drown out. Not so fast that it doesn't seem to flow, but not so slow that I need to check my Pod to see wtf I'm listening to. A lot of bass, that's a given. But most important of all, a drop so disgusting it'll leave you having withdrawals if you dont get more...
My top favorite drops are the ones that never get old, ever:
Doctor P - Gold Dust So downright filthy
Calvin Harris (Nero Remix) - Feel So Close
Doctor P - Louder
Skrillex - Bangarang
Rusko - Hold On
I also like the really chill and kinda relaxing stuff too like
Mt Eden - Sierra Leone
Bassnectar - Timestretch
I need some potent new flavor for my ears so I'm hopin you guys can hit me with some good mixes and lots of em.
Thanks

2 AnswersOther - Music9 years agoShould I go fishing in the rain today?
Today is the last Saturday left of summer. I wanted to go fishing but now it's raining. Not too hard, nothing like a storm or anything, just a moderate rain. I was thinking about just throwing on a poncho and heading to the lake anyways. What do you think, do you enjoy fishing while it's raining?

2 AnswersInvesting9 years agoSwitching seats in an NFL Preseason game?
Ok so I'm going to the Az Cardinals game against the Raiders on Friday. I've never been to an NFL game before because the tickets are usually outrageous. But since the preseason is much cheaper to attend, I'm going. I found upper level seats for 30$ a piece so it seemed like a no brainer... However, seeing in how 2/3 of the seats appear to be empty at preseason games, would we be able to move down to a couple seats into the lower section? I'd wait until the end of the 1st quarter to let people get settled of course, then slip into some vacant seats.. Are there ticket checkers at the top of each section? I understand some people would see this as being completely atrocious and very wrong, but I see no problem in moving closer to the field, into seats where nobody is sitting...
At this point, that panty waste Kevin Kolb needs all the support he can get.

2 AnswersPsychology9 years agoReasonable expectations if I sell AR15 upper at gun shop?
Ok so I have a S&W m&p15. 16" carbine system, the Optics Ready Model, flat top receiver and flat top gas block. Chambered in 5.56/.223, twisting at 1:9. I bought this rifle brand new about two years back and it has done me very well, but I'm wanting a new configuration and figure it'd be easiest to get a setup closer to what I want and then tweak from there (I'm tight on cash so I figured the best way to go about a new upper assembly is by simply trading out). I've put around a thousand rounds through her (give or take 250) without a single malfunction. This rifle goes for ~1,000 in about every place I come across, but I'm not sure how much the upper would be worth alone.
I've never dealt with a gun shop as far as selling and trading goes so I'm not sure of protocall... I was gonna ask 700 initially, and go from there. I also figured I could ease the deal in by informing the dealer that I plan to buy all parts through and from him as far as beginning my next upper assembly..
6 AnswersHunting9 years agoOften times first time gun buyers AVOID dealer directly, why!?
People seem intimidated to go into a gun shop to buy a firearm, knowing they can do it from the comfort of home. (Im refering, to a first ever firearm purchase) Im assuming this is because they're not very knowledgeable on the subject, so would rather deal with it through indirect contact. Gun shop employees can be helpful, and pass loads of knowledge onto a firearms novice.. You just can't find that online.
You think you found a great deal online on the firearm you're interested in, but most people don't even seem to understand the processing system and fees involved with online firearm sales. You can ultimately expect to add ~100$ extra on top of the initial bill. (Approx? Does that sound close?)
Regardless, you're going to end up at the FFL dealer to pick up your gun anyways. Furthermore, this could be days, weeks, even months later. Whereas you could handle it all in a single day if you go direct (Here in AZ at least)
They read about said gun online, compare online, and buy online... Compare this to - Discuss, in person, your desires, expectations and questions about said firearm, COMPARE MULTIPLE GUNS BY ACTUALLY SEEING HOW THEY FEEL IN YOUR OWN HANDS, and of course doing business locally, where you'll likely become a regular.
So in the end what you have is a very impersonal transaction pertaining to a subject where interaction with a dealer in person is all the more helpful.
Does anyone else feel like this is becoming the case more often these days? This probably seems like a rant, but im curious if anyone else feels this isn't how interested gun buyers OUGHT to handle their purchase. I just wish more people understood it's ok to go into a shop looking for help.
Thanks
-J
