  • Can I re-color bleached, fried hair to dark brown?

My hairdresser fried my hair! He put too much bleach in it and it looks like straw and feels even worse! I've read in a previous post to use mayonnaise, so I will try it, and the olive oil and the egg yolk and the peanut butter... ;-)

My question now is, I want to get rid of this "bleached" look and go back to my natural hair color, dark brown. Can I use a hair dye over this bleached, fried hair, or will that make it worse?

I've never colored my hair myself before and would like to try a home dye kit to get it brown. Will that be okay?

My hair thanks you for your advice!

  • Lawsuit for injury due to false advertising?

My husband got a very bad cut from the sharp edge of a can after being opened by the As Seen on TV One Touch Can Opener. The ad clearly states "no sharp edges."

The cut was down to the bone and took several hours to stop bleeding.

In searching the internet, there are several websites with reviews that show people getting seriously cut from the razor sharp edges this creates on the top of the can.

Would this be grounds for a lawsuit? I am not a sue happy person and hate hearing about the frivilous lawsuits out there, but this ad clearly states "no sharp edges."

Would appreciate an opinion from an attorney.

    Thanks!

  • Is a MSA or HSA better than traditional plans?

I'm shopping for health insurance for my husband and I and I'm not sure if an MSA/HSA would be a better plan than a traditional family plan. Does anyone have any experience or advice on this issue that may help in our decision? Thanks!

  • Sprinkler timer installation question?

I'm trying to replace my mom's Rainbird sprinkler timer. There are 2 cords going into her timer; one is a thin grey one that comes down to the timer from where the ceiling meets the wall in her garage. I'm assuming this goes to the pump station at the front of her subdivision? Out of this small grey cord comes 2 wires - a black one and a red one. The black one is the one that went into the common slot on the old timer. The red one is connected to a white one from the cable listed below. They are held together with a plastic cover thingy.

The 2nd cord is a thick black cable coming up from near the floor up to the timer. Out of this comes several colored wires, all of which go to a particular zone with the exception of the white one. I have all the other color ones connected to each zone, as on her old one.

The new timer has 2 common slots, not one like her old timer. I've tried putting the black one into each of them and still not working. Am I missing a wire?

  • What is the going rate for transcription services and what's the best equipment?

I am trying to get my at home business off the ground and need some advice on what to charge for transcription services and the best equipment to purchase (software, foot pedal, etc.)

Is 15 minutes of typing the average time to transcribe 1 hr of audio?

What would you charge per hour of audio?

What is the best equipment at the best price? I need to go get some software and hardware, but not sure about brand vs quality.

Any advice you can provide me to help get me started would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for your help!

  • How can we get our older male dog to stop growling at younger non-aggressive male dog?

We have a 11+y/o cocker mix who has recently, in the past 6 mos, has really starting growling quite aggressively at our younger 4y/o mutt male dog. Last Friday the older dog attacked him for the first time. Now that the younger one is getting older and not backing down, we're afraid it's just going to get worse and the fighting more often. The older dog is now outside all the time, except for at night, after our other dog is safely upstairs. He doesn't do it all the time. For instance, right now, they're both living in harmony in their doggie beds on the front porch. Does anyone have any ideas of why the older dog would be starting this now? And, what can we do to stop the escalating situation? Thanks for your help!
