I am confused, because my professor said that if the concentration of a single ligand is high, there will likely be increased affinity of the binding site. Im having trouble understanding how this would affect affinity. I kind of thought that if there's a high concentration of a ligand, it would actually be lower affinity like how it is with sodium potassium pumps where the transporter has a higher affinity for sodium when its on the site of the pump with less sodium and a higher affinity for potassium when its on the site of the pump with less potassium. Does anyone understand?

My hands and feet are constantly cold and when I get cold my fingers turn blueish purple very quickly. It isn’t a rare thing as it doesn’t take much for this to occur and it happens nearly every day in one specific room I have to go to that is always cold. I have most of the symptoms of Reynauds, aside from my fingers turning blue rather than white, but I’ve never seen a doctor about it. Is it dangerous that my fingers do this so often, or can I ignore it?

I am confused on how to find the domain for an equation in which f(x) equals the fourth root of x^2 plus 3x. I don t understand how to find the domain with the exponent there. Please help!

The equation is 2(x^2-6x)+16. My answer key says it would go to 2(x^2-6x+9-9)+16. Normally, I thought you just divide B by 2 and square it and then add it to both sides. Why is there two 9s? And what do you do if one side is Y so you can't add it?

I m trying to find the X intercepts of the equation X^2+3x-10. I get x=-2 and x=5 through factoring, but my calculator tells me x=2 and X=-5. Why are the signs switched? I thought I was multiplying to get -10 and assign to get 3!

Ok so what I'm getting on the Internet is that WPA2-PSK(AES), WPA2-PSK(TKIP), or WPA/WPA2-PSK (TKIP/AES) are my 3 top options for wifi security settings. My vizio smart tv requires that I set my security to WPA2-PSK(TKIP) in order to connect to my wifi. I would really like to do this, but Google says that TKIP isn't as safe as AES or AES/TKIP. Exactly how dangerous is using TKIP security? If it's not much of a risk to use it, I'd like to. But if it is, I'll continue using AES/TKIP.

My 10 pound mix ate about half a box of milk chocolate milk duds which is like 2.5 oz, and most of it is caramel. This was around 3 hours ago and now she's really really thirsty, although she hasn't thrown up or acted like she felt bad. Her stomach sounds a little gassy. That amount of milk duds shouldn't harm her, but I've heard the excessive thirst is a bad sign. Maybe it's the caramel because there is way more of that than chocolate? What to do?

I don't know how to feel more comfortable in church. My youth group is not very accepting, and I simply could not make friends therefore I go to the normal service. In church, I never feel comfortable enough to sing. I don't know how to feel comfortable enough, and I'm scared I never will because my family does not sing even though most of the congregation does. I would be the odd man out if I did whilst the rest of my family sat quietly. I've always had a phobia of singing unless I'm alone. I know it's stupid, but does anyone have advice? I really want to get over it but my fear always takes over each time I think about it.

I love to help people and the health science field really interests me. But, the problem is there are a few things that I simply don't think I can deal with. There's something about eyes and if I had to touch anyone's eye or even imagining any type of surgery, It absolutely freaks me out. I could never get lasik because of how much it scares me to have any part of my eye touched, much less cut, besides when I touch it to put in contacts. Nothing else really bothers me in the health field.... But I don't think I could ever get over this phobia. Would this is completely ruin my chances at ever becoming a nurse?

Not exactly new, I've had if about 6 months or so. It's a little freckle looking spot that's probably about as big as the tip of a sharpie marker, so pretty small. It's on the bottom of my foot and I've just heard that freckles on the bottom of your foot could be signs of other diseases so I was just worried. It just looks like a brown freckle from far away, but if you look really really close it's like a brown dot inside of a slightly lighter circle. That's barely noticable though. Is it just a freckle?

I used to play runescape a few years back on a NON MEMBER server, and i always played this one minigame, but I forgot what it was. The place you'd go to was always completely filled with people joining clans and then 2 clans would battle. It would start with wooden stakes going down into the ground and that signalled the beginning of the war or battle or whatever. Nothing i've come across seems to be what im looking for, does anyone know what it could be? The clan wars place is super deserted, so I don't think that was it. I feel like you had to go into the wilderness at the time to get there.

I have a fortune cookie mold, and i understand the process of making a fortune cookie without a mold, but I don't understand how to do it with one. Because if there's a mold, there's no middle part of the fortune cookie in which to put the fortune, it would just be a solid cookie wouldn't it?f anyone has one or understands how it works, please help!
