Should I pay her back?
My girlfriend broke up with me.She has been very rude to me and disrespectful lately and has ranted and raved at me. The other day she blocked me on facebook and said she was never letting me back again EVER! But today I got a text from her.... she wants some money. I had a rough time and not enough money and she had lent me a few thousand dollars to help me out, off her Master Card. Since she has shut me out of her, and her kids, lives, and won't speak to me respectfully I told her that if she can treat me respectfully, that I will pay her back slowly over time as soon as I get a job. She freaked out and me and said the interest on her card is due and that I owe thousands of dollars and continued to text me very rude texts and treated me like scum and threatened to sell my Christmas tools that I left at her house! That is my Christmas gift from my mom and I told her if she sells them I will call the police. She rants and raves and said we are totally over but she needs the money (even though I know she has income right now and I don't), Should I pay her back or wait and see if she speaks to me again, if she will be respectful and treat me better first?
3 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoCan a lazy partner make you less motivated?
My live-in boyfriend can be lazy at times. He can have zero dollars in the bank and not even apply for a job with the "we still have groceries from when I bought them and I put in for my prepaid rent" attitude. He is in college full time but is out of student loans and I told him that he needs to get a job as I don't want to cover his expenses. I had him move out and we now date from our different homes because of issues. Since he moved out I have given him my cigarettes lately as he has no money for his own and paid one of his unexpected bills. But in other areas too, the data on his phone was cut off and he won't call to see what is going on... he sent an email but no response so he doesn't use his phone for internet. He doesn't plan or manage his life and complains when things don't work out. Even with our dating, I have to pick him up as he can't afford a cab and doesn't drive. I find that being around him, that I am less motivated and on top of things, like I was before him. I am not depressed, I just feel like things are slipping out of my hands whereas before him I never even forget even an appointment. Even my hobbies are things that don't interest me as much as I don't feel motivated for things. I feel happy though, not down. Just unmotivated and more forgetful. Is this a problem with me? .... or can a lazy partner make you feel less on top of things and drag you backwards away from where you want to be? I don't know if this is natural or if it's all my own personal issues that I can't stay on top of my responsibility since we have been together, which has been ten months.
4 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoMirena and period change?
I have had the Mirena for over a year. I still get heavy monthly periods but not as heavy as before thank goodness. I had a severe cough and it was so bad that I had to wear pads due to incontinence. One day I coughed till i pooped my pants abit:( after that I had bright red blood... Just abit. But than my period followed. I usually spot brown first so i wondered if it dislodged but decided i was over reacting as i tend to do. The next month i had my regular period as always. This month i started spotting abit early which is not abnormal. But i kept spotting and didnt have a period for he first time. Could mirena change the cycle after having established a solid routine after having been in a year? Or could the cough have dislodged it and make the birth conrol uneffective?
2 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting8 years agoIs there consequences for building a sense of self around another person?
My boyfriend does this. I was a single mom with an established life and he was a party boy that lived aimlessly, not caring for anything not even himself. I didn't know all of his past when he moved in. Now he says his life has meaning and he is discarding the old for a better, non-destructive, self. I is hard at times. I have to tell him things that others with more adult-lifestyle sense just know. He says I saved him from himself. He is building a new him, a new self concept around our life. His capaicty for self-growth astounds me. But also his way of thinking doesn't seem "healthy" to me... to build a sense of self around others. He said if it wasn't for more, his life would have slipped away into nothing, that our life has meaning and before his didn't. He is not the type of person that can live the good life on his own. He needs to be needed to step up (and he does step up amazingly... He is great to the kids and I, helps around the house, jokes around with us all...). He's great but his way of thinking doesn't match my idea of healthy. Is it healthy... Or is this way of building a self ok?
1 AnswerPsychology9 years agoAppropriate for a teenage sleepover?
My daughter and her friend are on summer break and have sleep over's at each other's houses alot. They usually stay up all night in their rooms, watching the computer or talking, going to bed after the sun is up. Since it's summer, the time issue doesn't bother me and they do this at both my house and at the other girl's house.
But the other night my daughter was over at their house and her family was playing board games with them till 3 am. Than at 3am the father took the girls for a walk until 6 am. The girls had a BLAST and its all they could talk about, what fun they had. It just seems "different" and "odd". I wouldn't walk with my kids that late at night.... I mean they were supervised when out.
Is that appropriate? I can't think of anything "Wrong" with it... its just unusual
5 AnswersEtiquette9 years agoCan a mortgage be adjusted?
Like if I have an extra 5000 dollars laying around. Can I take that to the mortgage broker that set up my house mortgage and put it towards my house payments, and get my mortgage adjusted for a lower monthly payment?

I have tried Netscape Composer, Word Press, and Coffee Cup... .but I am overwhelmed by all of them. I don't have a clue what to do, or how to get it 'online' once I actually get a site made. With Netscape I can actually make a page, but don't know what to do from there...
3 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoPower surge wrecks blow dryer, should we use that outlet again?
In the bathroom, we have one of those low voltage outlets, for razors and such. We have always used our blow dryer it. But last night it seemed like a power surge came through it... at least when the blow dryer was broken suddenly and the bathroom had that burned smell. Should I trust that outlet with a new blow dryer, or use another? What are the chances of that happening again? Also, is a blow dryer to powerful for those low voltage outlets?
1 AnswerOther - Electronics1 decade agoCan a person making just over minimum wage get a mortgage?
I am starting to look into the possibility of buying a home. I have a university degree, but still only make 11.50 an hour (min. wage here is 10). I plan to continue university part time as I work, but in the meantime I am working fulltime at this wage. I am single and have 2 children (no child support), so I would like a home that will comfortably house us all. However in my area, that means getting a house that is at least 175 000 to 200 000 dollars.
I have saved up enough for most of the downpayment through investments, but need a monthly payment that is about 450 a month so that I can manage it all on my paycheque. I have an excellent credit rating and never miss a rent or bill payment and once paid off a maxed out credit card. I would like very much to own but my only concern is getting a mortgage with my current low wage in a single income household.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing and can advise me?

5 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoCan a person get a morgage to buy a home if they make $10 an hour?
I am a single mom. No child support. I make $2 over minimum wage. I once had a credit card that was maxed out (from years ago) and paid it off regularly until it had a balance of $0. This proves that my credit rating is good, as well as I am never late on paying a bill, etc. I plan to see a morgage broker in the next month to see if I could get a loan (first I have to get time off of work during business hours, which I can't for the time being). I can save up enough for a downpayment on a house, as well as lawyers fees, and house inspection fees, moving costs, etc. But my main worry is that I can't get a loan with 2 dependents and not having a large income.
Anyone have any experiences in this field and can tell me if it is possible or not?

6 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoIs is appropriate to ask what the rate of pay is before accepting an interview?
I got called in for an interview in the city. This involves a 3 hour drive one way and finding childcare for while I am gone for the day. I would like to know what the rate of pay is before I go to the interview. If they pay minimum wage or such, than it is a waste of my 7+ hours and money I paid for childcare for the interview. How do I handle this situation?

3 AnswersSecurity1 decade agoQuestion about watermarking photos... when to and when not to?
I was in the park today and got some nice pictures of someone's dog. They turned out well and I offered to email them to her. She jumped at the idea and gave me her email. When I got home and saw that some of the photos turned out really well, I realized that I don't want them put on facebook or printed off with someone taking credit for them. I often watermark photos before I give them to my friends even though I feel awkward about it because I feel it is my right to get credit for my photography.
In this scenario, is is appropriate to watermark them before I send them to her, even though I offered to send her the photos?

2 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoIs it normal for a 3 year old to stutter?
My son is stuttering more than before. Sometimes he doesn't stutter at all and sometimes he will stutter lots (one time he tried to start a sentence and said I-I-I-I-I-I-I at least 30 times). He gets stuck on words, not sounds. Such as I, I, I. Or I like, I like, I like, I like. Occasionally he gets stuck in the middle of what he is saying, but not so much. Usually at the beginning of what he is saying. He will stutter several times a day, whereas he used to only do so occasionally.
The problem is that my doctor is not open to discussing such things with me. If I try to ask about things with my kids he will roll his eyes, laugh me off, and say things like "your kids are normal, stop trying to look for things wrong in them" (keep in mind that in my son's 3 years I have only asked the doctor questions about him 2 times, and about my older daughter one time). Since I live in a remote area, this is the only doctor available to my family. I have emailed a speech pathologist in the city to just inquire about if this is normal or if there are play exercises that I can do with him. Unfortunately I have yet to hear back, probably because I need a doctor's referral to access their services.
So here I am on the Internet asking for other parents experiences with toddlers and stuttering.
