when to use taget and handlar/handla in swedish?
I have been listening to a lot of swedish radio and I keep getting confused with these two words. Taget translates to both 'time' and also 'taken' at least orally, and handla translates as both 'is' and 'to shop' at least it sounds much like it orally even if the spelling is slightly different for each of these.
Im a bit confused is there any native speaker that could shed some light on this please?
2 AnswersLanguages8 years agoWhere can I buy chunky meter rules from?
I am after a heavy duty chunky meter stick for KS2/3 pupils, one that will be durable and tactile to handle. In my old school they had nice 1/2 to 3/4 inch box section plastic ones but all I can find online is skinny 7mm thick ones at the largest!
1 AnswerPrimary & Secondary Education9 years agoA FAC shooting location query?
Would it be possible for me to use a family members property location for rabbit shooting if it is around 250 miles away?
The terrain is suitable and they have previously obtained a FAC for hunting on that site however I was not sure if there is a set radius around where you store your weapon, or if the police would deem that unnecessary due to distance. I have nice holidays so often visit and would hope to shoot there quite regularly.
Thanks in advance for any answers
2 AnswersHunting9 years agoFactoring query, how do I arrive at (t + 1)(t^2 - 3t - 4)?
Hi there im having all sorts of problems factoring the following:
t^3 - 2t^2 - 7t - 4
this is factored to (t + 1)(t^2 - 3t - 4)
But how do i arrive at that?
Im looking through a solution but cannot see how (t + 1) is taken out as a factor, what method would you use when factoring from the top?
Any feedback is much appreciated and thanks for your time.

Hi can someone explain to me when i divide out by long division f(x) = x^4 - 3x^3 + x^2 - 4 by (x+1) i get -1 as the remainder, but using the remainder theorem it = 1?
I cant understand why long division gives the negative answer, is there a rule im not applying?
Thanks for any feedback!

3 AnswersOther - Car Makes1 decade agoLegal position with lending stepladders?
Hello this is somewhat random question but I wonder if anyone would know the legal implications of lending a friend some stepladders.
I thought for a long time if someone has an accident on your property whilst using your ladders they could sue you. What about if you loaned them out and they fell off them?
I wasnt sure if it was as simple as falling off and being liable or falling off due to a defective which was not made aware to them at the time of lending.
Any feedback appreciated but not expected in this case hehe :)

1 AnswerVideo & Online Games1 decade agoWhat is the main reason you believe in your religion?
With all the information thats out there these days, remoteness and ignorance isnt really an excuse anymore, what you believe in is now Your Choice when you become an adult...so why do you personally follow whichever Diety you do - What is the main reason?
For example I believe in Christianity because the teachings of Jesus struck a chord in me, peace love and forgiveness all seem Godly to me - its like perpetual high ground in every single argument Jesus was faced with...it just seems pure angellical. I want to emulate that person a follower of Jesus, follower of Christ - a Christ ian. I would have tried to follow this guys teachings no matter 'what' he was because inside my heart His ideals just seems like pure joy.
I want people to see Jesus today in me thats my main reason - not something thats going to happen anytime soon especially when I give you the finger and blast my horn when you cut me up in the outside lane, but im trying lol every single day I keep on trying!
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs the illiterate chav culture only in the UK or a global phenomenon?
Maybe the falling cost of personal computers coupled with all time low internet pricing has contributed. Finally allowing the unwashed masses to spurt their ignorance onto our screens, giving a truer picture of this glorious nations failings. Maybe this was ALWAYS our culture but just not broadcasted so well before the internet took off?
How is it in other countries these past 10 years, is this really a modern movement, a sign of the times and things to come, or just a typical nation under the microscope?
4 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoThe 666 on barcodes explained?
In addition to my other question which was related to this, some members of the Yahoo Answers community are struggling to see the 666 code in all World barcodes ill explain again.
Each and every single barcode in the World is divided by 3 double bar spacers, slightly longer than the rest. These 3 spacers appear at the start, the middle and the end. The numerical barcode number for these spacers are '6'.
There seems to be some confussion with people looking for the numbers '6' on the code itself, you wont find it its hidden.
Check this site out for a visual explanation...
http://www.av1611.org/666/barcode.html
I hope this clears it up, and now back to my original question which was 'Does this 666 mark on every purchasable item bother you?' :)
12 AnswersMythology & Folklore1 decade agoDoes the 666 mark on every purchasable item worry you?
Seeing as how the end of the World and stuff is predicted with satan marking all things sold with 666 does'nt that 6 --- 6 --- 6 mark on the bar code make you think there might be something in it. Especially as soon after every man woman and child is supposed to bear the mark in order for them to purchase goods, does that mean we all get barcodes or chips inplanted with this coming identity card movement.
For any of you who dont have a clue what im talking about i'll explain - Just grab any object near you and chances are its got a barcode on it, its made up of lines of various widths which are read by a machine and the widths turned into numbers. At the start, the middle and end of each and every barcode in the World there are 3 spacers and their numerical code is 6. Just type it into a search engine to read about the specifics, theres even an interview with the barcodes original creator who is asked why he chose the code '6' for the 3 spacers its interesting.
mumbo jumbo?
26 AnswersMythology & Folklore1 decade agoWould Jesus shoot you in the face for His country?
If Jesus was alive today do you think he would join up to the armed forces and open fire on the 'enemy' or praise and vocally support the killing of others by the armed forces no matter what the material justification may be?
Just curious how many Christians we have on here that might support the war in Iraq or Afganistan and have considered this scenario, so thought I would pose the question. I myself a few years ago thought the war was perhaps justified, even if to only rid that country of the regime and only recently I changed my opinion not only towards that war but all war and killing.
I am only really interested in the feedback from people who see themselves as Christians, as I dont think the question is relevent to any other parties.
