  • How Dark Should the Wash on Men's Jeans Be?

Right now I'm considering buying a pair of selvedge jeans. However, To make the money count, I'm not sure how dark these jeans should be. It honestly seems a tad darker than dark indigo, which is what I'm looking for. I intend to dress these up and down.

    Are these too dark?

  • Where to Draw the Fashion Line When Performing?

Alright, so I am a professional musician. I perform a lot. Lately I've been performing with a rather flamboyant look. Though it's well put together and layered (OCBD, flannel or T-shirt over Slim dark Jeans or Chinos), I wear clubmasters unnecessarily and I always pop the collar on my Jean jacket or leather jacket.

So I'm curious. Is it okay for me to break the rules of fashion while performing?

  • Can you reccomend an excellent quality acoustic guitar?

I've played guitar for about six years. Taken lessons most of those years. However, I've always had cheap, factory guitars that usually have iffy quality, especially with chords that aren't open. I'm looking to upgrade. Durability and tonal quality are big factors for me.

  • How can I use history in my future? College? After College?

I'm currently a sophomore in high school. I'm particularly solid in English and History. History is one of my better classes, and I've wondered. How can I use history in my future? There's always teaching, but I want to know all of my options if I were to pursue history. Sorry if my question is underdeveloped, I haven't had much time to think about it.

  • Is the free throw line's distance the same in high school and the NBA?

Always wondered. I know the three point line is extended, but unsure about the freethrow line.

  • One thing that bothers me to no end, why hasn't sportscenter played this?

Last seconds of the most recent game, Harden all out on defense. Lebron shoves a forearm at Harden and Harden gets called for a slight contact blocking foul a few seconds later. We screamed at the TV. My family hates Lebron. This is why. More people hate the Heat than people like them, but they're favored by the NBA. Outrages me to no end.

  • I'm a Kings fan. Why are we in the position for becoming a really good team? Why does Nobody notice?

I have been a Kings fan since 2008. Is it just me, or are they managing the team pretty well? Drafting Isaiah Thomas as everybody passed him up (IT fan in college), drafting RoY in 2009, and just doing amazing with signing free agents and doing trades.

I mean, Tyreke Evans, Marcus Thornton, Isaiah Thomas, Demarcus Cousins.

Those names stand out as really good players now, even though some of them weren't previously. Isaiah was being compared to made point guards with his statline and effort, despite being drafted last in the draft, Demarcus had doubts with his chemistry and came back to rock the league with stellar performances. Tyreke has always been a good player, but Marcus Thornton came into the league underrated and kings got a steal with him in a trade.

Then that's not it. They got Terrance Williams they got John Salmons and Jason Thompson.

Admit it, they are having some good luck streaks happening, maybe they still start succeeding. Admittingly, Smart isn't the best coach, but he keeps his players happy.

  • Is this a good idea/philosophy?

Ok. I never like seeing anyone drive into our paint, but it happens. When it happens too much and a player keep driving and scoring, would it be a good idea to start hard fouling. Not flagrant, but enough to make him not want to go inside.

I've been considering this. Like Lebron: you let him drive Often and if he succeeds he'll keep doing it. But if he is smacked around hard, he'll possibly hesitate.

    What do you think, guys?

  • Basketball Eliminates Stress, Have an Injury. Depressed, what do?

I have lived the last two years doing school and playing basketball. When I'm stressed about test results, I would play basketball and eliminate it from my mind. Have so much fun playing basketball.

3 months ago, I got a knee injury. I'm allowed to play soon, but my knee injury and having nothing to run to has caused me to be depressed. I can't focus, cry, and whenever I see a basketball. I stop and stare, before crying a little bit.

How do I eliminate this stress until I can play again? Depression?

  • How can I start preparing for basketball conditioning?

I am a point guard. I run the mile in only about 8. I can't sprint long distances.

On the court, I'm almost always sprinting and never get fatigued. But when I run the mile, I jog it. I can't jog more than two miles, and I can't run it, I can only jog it.

    Anyway, the big question.

I have either a month or two, or a year to prepare for JV conditioning. The JV coach is notorious for having a killer conditioning camp that will make people puke if they sprint miles for fun. Which has happened on several different occasions. I am not worried about trying it, it's just I'm a lazy pure runner.

I will do the drills, the gassers, the 17's, the triple suicides, all of those. But that extra prep away from the court? What can I do to

    A. Improve my mile time

    B. Condition myself for conditioning (LOL)

  • Do any of you wish that Steve Nash would win a Ring next year?

There's a very slim to none chance of the Suns winning the NBA championship, but How many here wish that Nash would get a ring, since he deserves it very much.

  • I think my friend might have given me Mono. How do I prevent it before it starts?

I was at my friends house, and he had Mono last month. He said that mono doesn't effect you after a month. But I'm not sure, it's only been about 30 minutes, and what precautions should I take to make sure I don't get mono?

Also, I was only around his room, I don't even know if mono can be spread by air or touch after a month, but I don't want to take a chance since my mom has Lupus and Basketball Tryouts are soon.

  • Why do people always hate on Hasheem Thabeet?

I mean, he's a block specialist. His stats were a bust last year because he avergaed 13 or so minutes a game. But he got 1.3 blocks a game, too. If he got the same minutes as Andrew Bogut or Dwight Howard, he could reach modest numbers. People are always like "1.3 blocks per game? AS A BLOCK SPECIALST? PFFFFFTTTT" But he didn't play too much.

  • An area of my knee hurts when I put a certain amount of pressure on it, did I hurt my ACL?

I was playing basketball, or at least, warming up. And my knee started hurting during the dribbling drills. It was like an ache for a split second or two. More uncomfortable than painful.

I was playing for about 20-30 more minutes, maybe less, and then my parents get home. I ask my father why it hurts in this area, and he said it could be an ACL injury.

It's on my left leg, on my left side of the kneecap. It hurts a little to step backwards while putting pressure on it, and during some hard turns.

If it is an ACL injury, then how long am I out approximately? If it's probably just an ache from my lack of stretching, then how long?
