Does anyone know? I've been googling it but I keep getting stuff about Tamagotchis.

In my kitchen is a Sony stereo with a tape deck. It plays the radio pretty clearly until someone plugs in a laptop charger - it always becomes really crackly. Anyone know why this is?

My brother doesn't like reading, but I think that reading a book will help him pass his English GCSE. He really likes the film Fight Club so I want to get him that book, but I could do with some other, similar suggestions. It would help if they weren't too long, too.

A few months ago I watched a Ted talk about gender representation in media and I need to find it again so I can quote it in an essay. I can't remember who the speaker was, but he was a man with two young children, a son and a daughter, and he talked about the characters they looked up to in films. I remember him mentioning 'Star Wars'. He ended the talk by stressing the importance of boys learning to see women as equals through female characters they'd want 'on their team'. If anyone can help me identify which talk this was that would be great.

Pronounced mad-uh-lane. In order to get people to pronounce it right, I thought I should say something it rhymes with, but the best I've come up with is ladder cane, which doesn't make much sense. Any better ideas?

The computer stopped responding while installing something yesterday but seems fine today except that the speakers won't work. iTunes says there's something wrong with the audio configuration. I've unplugged them at the socket and at the back of the computer and put them back in again, but the computer won't even register that they're there. Any ideas?

It's a Macbook Pro MD313B/A 13.3" laptop. My dad told me that they're selling them at PC World for £649, which makes me think that it's a bit outdated because they've taken so much money off it. Is it worth looking at?

Also, do Macbook Pros have ethernet connections and disc drives?

We have a desktop PC that this is already installed on, and I'm getting a laptop and need to know whether I can use the same disc. Thanks!

My name is Madeleine (pronounced mad-uh-layne) and almost everyone I meet gets it wrong. I understand if someone is reading it out for the first time because a lot of people with the same spelling as me are mad-a-lin or mad-a-line, but sometimes when I'm asked my name I say it very clearly and still end up being called mad-a-lin, even if I correct them every time they say it. What's particularly irritating is when someone says, "That's too hard for me, I'll just call you Maddie.". I don't mind being called Maddie, but please learn my real name first!

Does anyone have any tips for making people remember a name?

I'm getting Late Night but don't want it to take up massive amounts of room on the computer, so I thought I'd uninstall Ambitions. Will I have to start a new save game or will the Ambitions features simply disappear from my existing one? What will happen to my Sims who are wearing clothes from Ambitions etc.?

I was thinking I'd just pour yoghurt into ice lolly moulds. Will it work OK?

I use a Clean & Clear facewash but I'm not convinced it does anything...does anyone have any tips for how to get clear skin?

I've ticked the box to agree to the new user agreement, but I can't get the agreement to go away - it's right in the centre of the screen and there's no OK button or anything. Has anyone seen this and fixed it?

I recently downloaded the new version of iTunes and now when I plug my iPod in, it starts automatically syncing the entire library onto it and I can't go into the music on the iPod and delete what I don't want anymore. I only have 4gb; I can't have everything in my library on there! I've tried ticking the "manage music manually" option but it hasn't helped.

I've been watching "Blue Water High" in German on YouTube to improve my German. There are seven teenagers at a surf training school - Matt, Bec, Anna, Fly, Edge, Perri and Heath. I'm a little confused because I've seen an Australian version with different characters. Is the one I'm watching a German show or is it the translated version of the Australian one?

I've looked in the manual but I can't find anything about this. Does anyone know?

It shouldn't be a temporary number because I'm a permanent UK resident, but my new employer is saying that I'm missing two digits. I've got two letters followed by four numbers and another letter.

I need to practise German by watching TV shows, so I was just wondering what I could get on YouTube. It doesn't matter if it's translated or if it's an original German TV show.

I'm doing a project for English Language where I have to transcribe what radio DJs are saying and analyse it. On one of my recordings, the DJ mentions a song but I can't quite hear what she's saying; it sounds like "Brixton Someone". I thought maybe Brixton was the artist but I don't know.

I got an electronic tuner for my new ukulele today. I tuned the C, E and A strings with it but it says the G string is a C even when I tune the string so loose that it almost comes off. Has anyone else had/fixed this problem? The tuner is a Cherub Ukulele Mate. I would use a tuning track from YouTube but I have sense of what the notes are at all...I can't tune without something telling me how.
