How do I get windows phone dialer to work on a setup with a modem and router for answering/making calls?
I want the computer to be able to answer or make calls because my family always loses the home phones.
What adapters do I need to make the modem and computer be able to communicate?
My computers internet is wired and my computer runs windows 7 and is a relatively new system.
I don't want skype or whatever, I already am aware of those, that is not what I'm asking. I want the calls coming in on the internet-based home phone to be able to be answered on the computer instead of the phones.

It has windows xp, all internal parts seem to be working fine. I cannot run in safe mode, or get the boot menu to pop, it does not respond to either. Suggestions? It has a working cd and flash drive if you have suggestions for a boot repair that can be uploaded.

Anybody who knows for sure :) I have one as a pet, and have for a long time. The little bugger has never done anything bad to me, and is totally calm when I pick up, but just wondering how cautious someone else should be if he sprays them when he is being watched by a pet sitter?
