  • Vera Bradley Duffel Bags?!?

I'm going away to a cheerleading camp later this month for 4 days. During this time, I have to be able to hold at least 4 outfits, shoes, medicines, etc. I'm also bringing some food along with me. I was wondering what size duffel bag from Vera Bradley would be the best to select for the trip? (Small, Large, or XL) Also, what are you opinions on the Vera Bradley duffel bags? Are they durable, etc? Would I be better with a suitcase?

    Thank you!

  • Moccasin Help.. ahh!?

I just bought my first pair of moccasins today. They're gray with a little bow and fringe on the top.

I'm not crazy about the fringe and something about the heel part of the shoe irks me.

    http://www.dsw.com/shoe/mix+no.+6+fringe+moccasin?...

    These are them.

What's your opinion? Do you think they're cute and stylish!?

Also, what should I wear them with?

    Thanks(:

  • Cheerleading Conditioning?

I am in my school's sideline cheer team & a rec. competitive team. I feel I'm really out of shape & just want to shine this year with no limitations. I'm so determined to get my twist downs and to be able to hold all of my one legged stunts. (I'm super flexible, but I sometimes just give up) I realize I NEED to condition, & need some help with how to condition. I mean I know the basics with stretches and push-ups/sit-ups, but I have a laziness issue. I have no problems sticking with it once I start, but I can never start I always get to preoccupied.

  • Cheer Tryout Tips Help!?

Cheerleading try-outs are next week. I just started recovering from a very bad sprained wrist as well as a nerve that I messed up in my arm that affected my shoulder, elbow, and hand. Last year, I didn't make it, but I have improved this year. I finally have some tumbling and I was hoping I would be able to be a little bit closer into making the team. I finished physical therapy yesterday and they explained I am only to do cartwheels, handstands, roundoffs, etc. this and next week. This upsets me because according to the score sheet, you get about 5 points for a roundoff and for handsprings and running tumbling you can get about 30. So, I asked them to write a note explaining I did have my handspring(s) (which I do), but for try-outs I was instructed not to perform them or anything else that causes pain.

    ------------

So, basically I'm asking how I can stand out even without my tumbling. I've been out of my normal competitive cheer routine for about 3 1/2 months now, so I'm rusty and I've always had difficulties with jumps since I'm short.

  • HELP!-Tween/Teen Dress!?

My daughter has her first Christmas Dance coming up for school. Apparently it's the only formal dance they have and she wants to buy a cute dress. Our dilemma, she's very petite for her age and the dresses that will fit her are too "babyish" as she calls them. I guess she wants something a little less poofy, ruffley than what she would fit into.

Oh she wears about 8 or 10's depending on how the dress is made. (At least that's what most of her other dresses look like) & she's tried 0's and 1's at some stores. She's only about 4'4 too. And like I said, a tween.

(Yeah, this is copy and pasted from my old one too. But since we couldn't find much, I decided to post again, the dance is less than 2 weeks away!)

  • Opinions on this outfit??!!?

I made a similar question that's still active, but no one posted really so I'm going to make another one with a little more detail. I guess what I am saying is something that could be worn to school...

So I was wondering if this looks cute? Mainly for school/casual-dressy events (if that even makes sense)

    SHIRT: http://www.abercrombiekids.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...

    (dark blue)

    SKIRT: http://www.abercrombiekids.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...

What color shoes would you wear with these? I was thinking light blue flipflops or maybe white.. but leaning more towards blue

  • Do you agree this looks pretty good?

I was wondering if anyone agreed this outfit looked good? I tried searching the skirt everywhere on here to see what others suggested but couldn't come up with one thing!

    Skirt:http://www.abercrombiekids.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...

Shirt: http://www.abercrombiekids.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s... (Maybe with a white cami underneath) (It's also in dark blue)

Also I was thinking when I do wear this depending on where I go, I could wear white/blue flip flops with a silver necklace.

But basically I just want to know if anyone knows how I could maybe emphasize it more I guess because I am in love with blues but if most of my wardrobe is blue, I'd like to try to mix it up or make it exciting once in a while.

  • Cheerleading Tips; flying, jumps, etc.?

I'm a flyer and I want to be the best I can be but I get very scared at certain stunts after seeing girls falling. I want to get rid of this because it's holding me back from simple things like baskets and my extension twists. Any tips? Also I've been doing all of the common jump tips to get my jumps higher and I've asked numerous times on here but they've only improved a little. My toe touch still looks like an eagle, sadly. I'm very short so it's quite annoying and I do try often. So if you have any ORIGINAL tips I'd greatly appreciate them.

Any other tips/hints are welcome, thanks :)

  • How can I get basic jumps in cheerleading better? (dancers/gymnasts may also be able to help)?

Hello! This is my first year as an all-star cheerleader, 3rd year as a competitive cheerleader. I'm very small and petite, so I'm pretty much a flyer all the time. I have some issues with my jumps. They've definably gotten better, but they're not like "POW AMAZING WOOT" to me. They're kinda just plain and uninteresting. I do realize how to do them, I think?! I also have my splits pretty much. (Left is a bit off the ground, as well as middle because I really try and stretch it until I have no choice but to slide down) But what I'm asking is how I can make my jumps look better.

    For..

    My herkie

    Toetouch

    Pike

    Hurdler

PS: I have noticed when I spot something high, my jumps feel higher.. ? is this normal?

    Thanks in advance :)

  • Cheerleading-Flyer Help!?

I'm a flyer and this is my first year as an all-star. (recreational competitive for 2 years before) They want me to get a twist cradle, bow and arrow, scale, scorpion, and heelstretch. Now, I'm flexible and can do these on the floor but when I go into a mount to do them, I tend to lean to my right. (especially in my bow and in my heel stretch!) So I was wondering how I can stop this? Also does anyone have any information on getting my jumps higher.. I CAN'T get them very high and I'm pretty short... too.

    Thanks so much!!

  • Flyer Help-Cheerleading?

Ok, I'm a flyer and need major help with balance. I normally get stuck with crappy bases and all for some of the important mounts and the bases act all that when they're not even that wonderful. So, how can I do my part to make it still look done and help everyone out? Any stretches, drills? I also am really flexible, but cannot hold that scorpion, heel stretch, etc. for 2 seconds EVEN ON THE GROUND! Drills, stretches? Thanks.

  • Competition Cheerleader HELP!?

Ok, so I'm a competitive cheerleader and on Tuesday we were practicing our second pyramid of our routine. Well, what happens is I hold on to two girls, as well as my friend, and we both dip and spin to the front on audience. (we start out feet crossed facing back of the whole mount) Once we spin, we're popped straight up to extensions, then down to sponge, double bounce, show 'n go, split coming down from show 'n go, then bounce from split up to extension lib. Well, it turns out my back and front of this mount were not here on Tuesday & my fill-ins didn't know what they were doing. (well at least one, I think) so I couldn't do it. I also had my base being my back, I believe. So, I got thrown out of the pyramid. Now, the girl who was my back (originally base just knew the back's parts) is now flying and we have a whole new pyramid. I think she originally was just sucking at basing and all that to be a flyer because I heard someone go, "Happy, now? You got your wish tonight". Yes, she was previously a flyer. So, for the next like 45 minutes I sat in the back OF EVERYONE watching. I'm really mad because I'm the smallest on the team so even if I am permanently kicked out of the pyramid, I can't really do anything since I'm unable to hold anyone up. (I've tried before, haha, I had someone else holding the person's foot up as I tried to.) So, any advice or ways to cheer myself up? I'm not trying to act snotty and all.. :P
