i'm currently a freshman in a cc and will transfer into ucla. while i'm in cc, i'm pretty much paying this out of my own pocket unless I get financial aid. I was wondering if having student loans and/or bad credit (though I don't have any) will restrict me from enlisting in the marines? and the reason why I don't go into reserves and waiting till after college is because I don't want the chance to get deployed while i'm still in school. plus the whole one weekend a month can distract me from studying time, since I know a couple of marine reservist who tell me that it can stretch up to 2-5 days. so yeah, will this set me back from enlistment?

Do you still have a lot of free time for yourself and your family? Or are you constantly training?

I'm barely starting spring semester with 2 classes, would I be able to transfer within 2 years? i'm taking basic English fundamentals and history 101.

I was thinking of joining and going to bootcamp in one summer, but would student debts in general get in the way of me joining? Is there a set limit of how much debt i'm supposed to have that would consider me to still enlist?

I've read online that it's really hard and that it actually requires one to think outside of the box and out of their comfort zone. Any first hand students that took this course that would want to give me a little insight of what I'm in for? Intro to phil- 110.

I'll be around this age when a graduate from college. Would I be considered too old? Were there any recruits when you went to boot camp?

i'm transferring to sdsu by the time i'm 22 and won't graduate when i'm 26, majoring in political science. is 26 too old for the average age for graduation, let alone 22 being too old to enroll?

i'm planning to go to bootcamp in the marine corp along with combat training and job school, which would take from 13 weeks-5 months...x_x

so most likely, i won't be able to start school durring the fall semester? is it possible for me to start somewhere from the winter to the spring in a university? i plan to go to cal poly or uc davis once i'm in the marine reserves.

Along with mct and mos training? And what is the shortest length of mos training?

I've heard it can be done, but it's really sleep depriving and really stressfull to do so. I'm planning to join the marines soon. I talked to a former marine and said that he went to ucla while in active duty. I've heard only desk jobs like admin allows time flexibility, if that's the case, is that the only job that allows time flexibility?

i'm planning to attend to ucla or uc irvine, but i couldn't because i wasn't smart enough to go straight after :). so for now i'm planning to attend community college near my town. I hear that it only takes less than a year to finish at least 30 credits, but i'm unclearly sure about that.

Particularly, if i plan to major in Political Science. I've been hearing that it takes around 2-3 years, one where someone said it just takes less then a year to a full year. Which is true?

i'm planning to go to the marines after high school, and so far my grades are averagly okay. stretching from 2.4-2.9. I was wondering if joining the marines or any other military branch would help increase my chances into getting into any university. i saw a video of a marine who spent sometime in the marines and still went to ucla while serving.

my dog had 2 small licks on the backside of the lid of my chocolate shake. Just wondering if that's lethal enought to kill him. He's a small beagle that's a year old( human years). Not enitrely worried....but should i be?

Will the world end in 2012? i know there's new artifacts such as calenders and monuments from mexico stating that it won't but i just need my mind to rest on this subject. i've been watching the history channel lately and it's just making me unnerving. are there also scientific prohpecies stating that the world will or won't end in 2012? can someone please debunk this?

i've been interested in joining the marines for a few years now, the only thing i'm scared of bootcamp is pretty much the gas chamber. with that said, there's been many assumptions that there's hazing even after bootcamp. is that true? is hazing for all marines or just those who are boots in infantry?

I'm sorry if this question is stupid but understand that i'm just a kid from high school. I was just wondering if you HAVE to go to combat, regardless of your mos. And does your asvab scores determine on your variety of which mos job you can take? sorry, i haven't talked to a recruiter yet but i will once my summer starts.

I plan to enlist in one of the two after highschool, but i do not know which one to go for. I have the upmost respect for the two branches just as much as the navy and air force, but the fact that i can actually make a difference while i'm serving the two makes me want to join even more. So which is better to join? Benefits wise and the likely hood of what it'll be like in the army or usmc. You can save the whole "it's great, just like family" speech, and as well as "it's dangerous, just like jarhead or any other war movie", because it's just a movie.
