A friend of mine had some repetitive stain problems related to carpel tunnel and this seems to have triggered bone spur growth near the common place in rhe wrist for taking pulses. The rate of growth however, seems very rapid : over half an inch in 2 weeks. I have recomnended rest, gentle stretching and an anti-inflammarory diet but am wondering if this rapid growth rate could be indicative of something unusual. Any ideas and suggestions would be welcome, especially if properly referenced.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to view the full header in the newest incarnation of Yahoo! Mail: the FULL version showing the trail that the email went through before it reached you. Don't know why Yahoo wants to make it so difficult to see such vital information, but for some reason they do. Any ideas about how to view all this info??

I signed up in Canada, have Canadian info in my profile, and Yahoo! always gives me the Yahoo Canada site when i sign in....so you'd think it would be a no-brainer for them to put me in Yahoo! Answers Canada at least every once in a while - but NOOOO: instead they just randomly assign me to Yahoo Singapore (my "home site.."), USA, UK... right now they have me in India, for some random reason!!! What's going on, and if it IS random, why do they never put me in Canada where i actually live, have registered and use the computer all the time??

Suppose you asked a question which you later simply wished you hadn't... and it gets resolved (best answer chosen by yourself or voters) before you realize that you REALLY don't want that question to be available for everyone to see, like, forever, but you also don't wish to make your profile "private". How can you get this question removed??

I was trying to "unclutter" my computer a bit, and accidentally removed a bunch of windows components, such as IE Explorer, Utilities and Tools, free games that came with the computer, and the "quick launch" bar in the lower left side of the screen next to the "Start" button. I downloaded and re-installed IE Explorer but now i can't even find it, and all my utilities and everything else i erased, are gone. Can i restore my computer to where it was 3 hours ago? Is this possible? I'm using Windows XP pro, if that helps.....

In order to use my webcam to take photos and such, i have to go to the control panel, select "printers and other hardware", then click on the "camera" option.... what i'd LIKE to do is to put a camera icon on my desktop so it will be a much faster, easier operation. But, when i right-click on the camera icon in the control panel, all i get for options is Take Pictures, Rename, Delete, and Properties.... no way to duplicate the icon so i can send one to the desktop, or to make a shortcut. Any ideas how to accomplish this.

Its a cheap Centrio cam and doesn't come with software.... just uses the generic webcam software that comes with XP.

I downloaded some videos from the USENET, and they came in parts, labelled avi.001, avi.002, etc. I then got a video joiner (ok, several... none works. One was AVS, another was hjsplit). When i try to use them, however, i can't get them to see or find the part-files!!! This is driving me seriously crazy.... any ideas???

I just installed Emsisoft malware program, and it seems to have messed my computer up royally!! I lost all my Firefox files completely - they don't even show when i try to search for them... several other programs have also vanished, as well as the control bar along the bottom of the screen - so i can't even uninstall it!! Ideally, i'd like to get back to the system configuration before i installed this malicious program. Is this possible? Will my Firefox files return? I can't even use my Yahoo! Messenger... why does this program even exist, let alone come highly recommended?

I lost my Fireforx bookmarks in a virus attack. BUT, i still have the bookmarkbackup file. How do i use this backup file to restore my bookmarks??

I just updated to the latest version of Yahoo Messenger, and it has this REALLY useful feature that it uploads all the YM conversations you have stored on your computer over the years from previous versions, online - converting them into a searchable format in the process. I'd very much like to be able to take advantage of this feature, but when it tries to do it, it stops and a generic "We encountered a problem - better luck next time!!" message pops up.... no hints as to how to get around the impasse at all!! I've checked the files in question and they are all in .DAT format so that's not the problem. Anyone have any ideas? Is there a way to manually upload them? Is there a way to decode them in batch lots instead of one at a time, so that i can have them all on my own computer in a searchable format? ANY suggestions will be welcomed!!

Whatever program it is, my copy of it seems to have developed some "glitches" and i'd like to uninstall then re-install it. It refuses to play "mixes" and "playlists" - all it plays is the first one in the sequence - and it won't let me go to "full screen": all that shows is darkness. If i can do the dump then reload thing, it should work ok because it was fine until recently.

Every time i open Yahoo Messenger, this silly little mini-browser Yahoo thing comes alive and takes up valuable time while it opens its inanities. Is there ANY way to disable this annoying feature??

Malware Bytes is one of the best free anti-malware programs, but it has a VERY annoying habit of bragging about every little thing it does.... as in "Malware Bytes has just blocked access from a potentially harmful website 98.115.333.55". I looked in the control panel and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn this pesky feature of the program off. Is there??? Please: i like the protection, but this is driving me nuts.

I just got a lovely Olympus E-Pl1, but i can't for the life of me figure out how to access the controls for things like picture size, ISO and the gazillion other things that can supposedly be controlled if you know the magic sequence of buttons to push. The manual just isn't making things easy for me... can someone please explain EXACTLY how to get to say, the "Super control panel" where its easy to adjust everything? I'd be most appreciative!!!

In this sentence, what verb form is "washing", the **second** time it is used (the first time i know it is a participle, since it is an adjective modifying the noun "machine". The third time, i know it;s the progressive present verb form. However, the second time is a verb form i don't know what to call. (the fourth time it is used, it is a noun, therefore it is a gerund.)

""A washing machine is used for washing clothes. When i am washing clothes, i use a machine: its the best thing for doing the washing!!"

When you download stuff on IE, it usually gives you a choice of where to put each file, what to name it, etc. But, i messed this up by unchecking the box which said "ask me this every time a file of this type is downloded" - this was in the previous window, which asks you whether to open or save the file. I figured it would just skip that one box - but instead it automated the entire process, and tacked on a command to play each downloaded video file as soon as it is completely downloaded!! So, i lost control of the process and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get control back. Any ideas?
