Opening a booth at an antique mall and need a company/business name.?
Opening a booth at an antique mall and need a company/business name. Will be selling antique furniture, vintage kitchen items (Tupperware, Corning Ware, etc.), some new furniture, craft items, artwork (commercial and homemade) and homemade wood items (think things built using pallets).
Below are some business name ideas. Do any of these jump out as being a good name? What other names might be considered?
Husband is a pilot and we have a big interest in all things airplanes/flight but this doesn't necessarily need to be included in the business name. Also, live in Texas. Again, this doesn't necessarily need to influence the company name.
Thanks in advance!

1 AnswerOther - Advertising & Marketing5 years agoCan I watch Netflix via our DirecTV Genie DVR?
We have U-Verse for our internet service and we do have it connected via Ethernet to our TV. We can currently listen to Pandora radio via the Genie but I can't figure out how to stream Netflix via the U-Verse internet connection. Thanks!
2 AnswersTiVO & DVRs8 years agoCan I use regular household lights in our motorhome?
We recently purchased our very first "new to us" motorhome ~ a 1995 36' National Dolphin with one slide and 37,950 miles. It's in great condition but, in my opinion, the interior is dated. I want to change out the brass sconces in the bedroom and living room, the bathroom light above the mirror, the light above the dining room table and possibly a couple of other lights. Can I install regular household lights/sconces or do I need to purchase 12 volt lights? The few 12 volt lights/sconces I've found online are not our style or they're very expensive.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoInsurance Claim Question?
We live on a corner lot and last week a 19-year-old male driving a Dodge Stealth was racing a friend when the Stealth driver lost control of his vehicle, jumped the curb, drove through our side yard taking out two 15 foot crepe myrtle trees, a portion of our wooden fence, hit the water spigot damaging the spigot and the underground pipes for our in-ground sprinkler system, took out the wheelbarrow in the garden area and then hit a 27 foot trailer parked in our backyard. The young man is lucky the trailer was there to absorb the impact of the crash otherwise he would have hit at least one of the large mature oak trees in our backyard and could have possibly been killed. The driver of the Stealth and his friend in the other car (Honda Civic) were both ticketed for "attempted contest of speed" and the police report states, "Unit 1 and Unit 2 were racing." Some of the contents of the trailer were thrown from the trailer from the new opening created by the impact. The contents of the trailer include 16 Wenger choral risers that I use for my music festival business. We do not yet know how many of the risers are damaged and how many are usable. Each riser costs at least $605.00 plus tax each (new price). The insurance carrier sent an appraiser to our property to appraise the trailer but he did not appraise the other damage or the contents of the trailer. The damaged items (fence, spigot, etc.) are listed on the police report and I have sent a detailed list of the damage as well as a list of the contents of the trailer to the insurance carrier so they have that information.
My questions are:
1. How will the Stealth driver's insurance carrier calculate the value of the contents of the trailer and the other damage?
2. What do we do when the insurance company "low balls" an offer to settle this claim?
3. What should we be aware of when dealing with this insurance company (as 3rd party claimants)?
4. Who is responsible for the removal of the crash debris and the totaled trailer (which is wrapped around an oak tree in our backyard)?
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give regarding these questions!
Insurance9 years agoSwapping hard drives on desktop computer?
I have two older desktop computers. One is a Dell E521 and one is a non brand name my friend just gave me. The hard drive in the Dell has a virus and doesn't work correctly even after reloading. The Dell has more USB ports (4 rear and 2 front) than the no-name (2 rear USB ports and no front ports). The no-name has a 10 GB hard drive ~ much larger than the Dell.
My question: can I take the 10GB hard drive from the no-name computer and install it in the Dell and have it work properly in the Dell?

My hubby and I will be in El Paso this weekend. We live in the Dallas area and have never been to El Paso. We plan to visit the Wyler Aerial Tramway during the day. Can anyone recommend a good sports bar where we can have dinner and watch some sports? Also, what is a good part of town for hotels and what areas should we avoid?
Thanks!

I am opening a booth at a local antique mall and I need a GREAT company name. I will be selling small knickknacks (various plates and other serving pieces), salt-pepper shakers, antique/& some new furniture, other antique items and other odds and ends (yet to be determined). I will be spending quite a bit of time (and probably blood, sweat, tears and LOVE) finding items for my new booth.
My nickname is Gigi/GiGi and my favorite color is purple/violet.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

1 AnswerHomework Help1 decade agoHow to get bondo odor/smell out of the refrigerator/freezer?
My husband has been working on a back yard project and this past weekend he put some of the bondo mixture (like the stuff they use in auto body/fiberglass/Corvette repair) in our freezer to slow the process. Now our 2 month old side-by-side refrigerator/freezer smells like bondo ~ a very strong and nasty odor/smell. I had to dump out all of the ice and the frozen burritos because they tasted like bondo. I'm afraid other items will also take on the smell/taste of bondo and have to be thrown away. I have put baking soda in both the freezer and refrigerator but the smell does not seem to be diminishing.
How can I remove the bondo odor/smell from the refrigerator/freezer?
5 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoIdeas/suggestions for letter of recommendation for my hair stylist?
My hair stylist is asking that I provide a letter of recommendation for her work. She has done a great job with my hair (including a color correction after I botched a self/box color), she is trustworthy and I have followed her to a couple of different salons over the past several years. The salon where she had been working closed after the owner didn't pay the rent for many months and the landlord locked everyone out.
I've never written a letter of recommendation and would like some ideas/suggestions on what to write and how to write it.
Thanks!
4 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoTrying out to be a Navy Seal ~ a worried mom needs to know?
My son and ex-husband met with a Navy recruiter this morning. My son wants to be a Navy Seal (I know, almost impossible to make it which he won't believe). He just graduated from high school where he was in the Air Force ROTC for 4 years. He has also been a Navy Sea Cadet for the past 4 years.
I don't have a problem with my son being in the Navy BUT I want my son to go into the Navy as an officer. He has been accepted to the local college where he is supposed to start attending in August.
This is what the Navy recruiter told my son and his dad:
1. My son should enlist because as an enlisted person he can try out for the Seals "many" times where an officer can only try out once.
2. The college my son will be attending does not have a Navy ROTC program (it does have an Army ROTC program but he wants to be in the Navy and his dad and I agree with that decision). The recruiter also said that my son would have to have "excellent/exceptional" college grades to be "accepted" as an officer.
Are the statements the recruiter made accurate. Any other information regarding my son becoming a Naval officer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks from a worried mom in Texas!
6 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoQuestion regarding Ebay ~ What to do when buyer says item was damaged when received?
The buyer in Malta (yes, the island off Italy!) bought my husband's Microsoft Flight Simulator X/10. He paid $12.00 for the CD's and $12.95 priority mail shipping.
I received the following email today from the buyer:
"Hi, I received the item but cd2 has a crack towards the centre! I managed to install it anyway but could not enter the activation code as it says it's been installed too many times!"
My question ~ I'm going to refund his money for the CD's. Should I also refund the shipping?
How would you, as an Ebay Seller, handle this situation?

4 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoEEOC problems ~ need advice?
Here's my situation ~
Terminated a year ago today (February 26, 2008), a day after my employer hired a man for my position (the office then had 51 men and 12 women). I worked in outside sales with 2 people in the department ~ a man and me. It was a 2 man (literally) department after I was terminated.
Two days prior to being terminated I had returned to the office after spending several days in the Chicago office for additional training on another product line.
I was never reprimanded or had any problems with my employer or my job performance. Because of the economy everyone in the office was a little on edge and I had been told by the director of the office a few weeks before I was terminated that my job was not in jeopardy. I had already been presented with and signed a new pay/commission/bonus contract that would begin March 1, 2008.
On March 5, 2008 (2 weeks after termination) I filed an Intake Questionnaire with the Dallas EEOC office. I hand delivered the Questionnaire and received a date stamped copy for my file. I was not told by the person at the EEOC that any other action was required by me.
Approximately a month ago I sent a letter to the EEOC informing them of my change of address (along with the front page of my Questionnaire so they could match the change of address to my file).
Today I received a call from the EEOC asking why I had sent in the first page of a Questionnaire and what are they supposed to do with it. I explained the situation (hand delivered original to their office almost a year ago, etc). I was told that the Questionnaire wasn't enough and that a complaint had not been filed against my former employer. I was also told that I could still file a claim (even though time has expired) and that the Questionnaire didn't constitute a claim. I was then told that the claim will be immediately dismissed by the EEOC because my former employer didn't violate the law.
According to EEOC rules, "An intake questionnaire or other correspondence can constitute a charge under the statutes we enforce if it contains all the information required by EEOC regulations governing the contents of a charge and constitutes a clear request for the agency to act."
Does employment gender discrimination not apply in Texas? Do I have a claim?
Any help/advice will be GREATLY appreciated!

We have a 2003 Ford Taurus and occasionally it "stutters" as we are driving down the highway. The sound and feel of the stutters is like running over lots of small ruts/bumps on the highway but the road surface will be smooth. It typically happens at highway speeds (55 to 80 mph). What could be causing these "stutters"?
