My check engine light popped on --- something to do with the catalytic converter.... the guy who checked it said maybe O2 censors...give it better gas... clean the gunk....

To no avail

Now my EPC light is popping on.... my Cruise doesn't work..

How can I fix this... what parts/ what work/ what needs to be done...

I'm tired of taking it in...getting billed for an hour or two at 60/70/80 an hour for a damn 20 part..when I could have my uncle who can do the work (just needs to know what needs to happen =/ )

Please... I appreciate any help

We took the Transmission appart of a '98 VW Jetta GL.... i was told this was a rise?raise?race? something (the word was said to fast and not repeated)....

It's located where...(everything is apart, gears gaskets bearings all the sort).... where the gears (whats the word...uggg)

okay so I see one set of gears perpendicular to another set...and right in the middle is an arched set of gears to connect them (you know, make them move)... there is a shiny piece of metal that looks cylindrical and looks like it just slides in there... but removing it is not so easy

i know, i didn't make much sense... i really hope there is a knowledgable YA member who can lead me in the right direction....

because i can't even do a google search on the part name (don't know it) to find out...if there is a special way to remove this thing...

She drives beautifully, when accelerating

but when you let her cruz- not applying on the gas....

she shakes, like she wants to kick out of gear...

checked the clutch- that was new

checked the fly wheel-seemingly new

what could cause this????????????
