  • If you were dating a transgender woman, would she/he be your boyfriend or your girlfriend?

I always wondered this. If you dated a transgender woman (pre-op male to female, also called a shemale by some people), would you class them as your girlfriend because the gender identity is female or boyfriend because they still have male parts?

Or is labelling completely irrelevant because you love who you love?

  • Front of legs hurting during workout?

I'm currently following a quite intensive workout plan (the Insanity workout, if anyone has heard of it) because I really want to get in shape. However, after a few days of doing it, the front of my lower legs (below the knees and above the feet) are hurting when I'm doing the running on the spot exercises. Am I just doing the exercises wrong? Is this workout not for me? Should I do something less strenuous?

  • My Music folder not loading in Windows 8?

I am running Windows 8 on a Sony Vaio with an i3 processor. Whenever I open the file explorer, everything loads instantly. Documents, instant. Pictures, instant. Videos, instant. Music........ten minutes.............fifteen minutes..........finally loads. And it takes the same amount of time for anything I click on within the Music folder.

Can somebody tell me why this is? I do have a lot of music and only an i3 processor but it normally loads instantly. It's not normally this slow.

  • Power out only in sockets?

My power in my house is on for the lights; the lights work, as does the oven. However, the sockets (that you plug things into) and shower do not work.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

  • Is the BIC code important?

I sent my brother some money from my bank account in Switzerland to his account in the UK. I entered the IBAN fine but the BIC code was auto-filled to his nearest branch. When I tried to enter the BIC code he gave me (from his bank statement), no bank could be found on the system.

Will the transfer still go through, using the BIC code of his nearest branch?

  • Eczema reacting to hard water?

I have had quite bad eczema on my hands ever since I worked with chemicals last year (mainly caustic soda). I used to live in a fairly soft water area. Now I have moved to a hard water area and I find that when I wash my hands, my eczema is really painful and I get little holes and cuts on my hands; breaks in the skin, almost. Is there a solution for this?

    Thanks

  • Why is the sky blue in colour?

Does anybody actually know why the sky is blue? I read once that light travelling through nitrogen gas is blue so the sky looks blue because the air is mainly nitrogen. Is this true or is there another explanation?

Also, why is the sky sometimes grey when the weather is bad and orange when the sun is setting?

  • IP address incorrect location?

Facebook is telling me that my IP address means that my current location is Scotland. I'm not, I'm currently in England. Comparing the Facebook logs and the time I have been messaging people, it all seems to add up. i.e. I seem to be the only one accessing my account. However, is it possible that somebody in Scotland has hijacked my account? Or is it just my IP address that is the problem?

    Thanks

  • Alternative to iPod Classic?

My iPod Classic is messed up/falling apart coz I got some dirt inside it and now it doesn't work. I'm getting some money in 2 weeks and would like to know if you, the kind and caring people of the internet, have any suggestions for a replacement. Preferably something with a decent size memory on it (more than 50GB is preferable) and something that's not going to fall apart. Doesn't have to be Apple, but must be a fair price. £329 for a 64GB iPod Touch is frankly unacceptable.

    Any ideas?

  • iPod classic messed up?

My iPod Classic is screwed. Firstly, the left button on the clickwheel (previous track button) keeps sticking and I have to lock my iPod every time I play a song because otherwise it skips back to the previous song until it's not playing any more. It's at the point now where I just put my finger on the previous track button and it skips back to the previous track. But that's because some dirt got in it, and there's not much I can do about that.

The real problem is that a lot of my songs are in the wrong order within the albums on my iPod, despite being clearly tagged in iTunes. I have edited the tags, named them, renamed them, cleared all tags, put them back, reset play and skip counts, but nothing seems to put the tracks back in the right order on my iPod. I know they're trying to phase out the Classic due to the advent of cloud computing but they really should release some new firmware or something. Does anybody else have this problem or know how to solve it?

  • HDMI cable from laptop to TV, no sound?

Whenever I connect my laptop to my TV at home, there is picture on the TV screen but no sound through the TV, only through the laptop speakers. It is not the HDMI cable, as I use it to connect the Blu-Ray player to the TV and the sound works fine when playing DVDs and Blu-Rays on the Blu-Ray player. I think there is a setting somewhere on this laptop but I am not sure where it is or what to change.

The TV is a Samsung HD TV and my laptop is an HP Pavilion running Windows 7 (64 bit)

  • Help adjusting my body clock?

I used to work night shifts but have quit my job to focus on my university work. However, because I worked night shifts over a long period and slept through the day (often missing lectures), I am tired during the day and awake at night, evidenced by the fact that I cannot get to sleep until 4am or 5am and I can only really get a good sleep in the daytime. How do I adjust my body clock so I can sleep at night time and be awake during the day?

  • Is there a way to increase privacy on android?

I read this article on Redmond Pie that Facebook and other apps are accessing your contacts and messages.

    http://www.redmondpie.com/facebook-is-reading-text...

I also noticed the permissions when I install apps are often 'read SMS' and 'access contacts data' and even 'read caller ID'.

Is there a way to stop this, i.e. an app that will block these apps from accessing my personal data? Or do I just have to live with it?

  • What to say to the girl I love?

I am totally in love with this girl. I mistakenly told her that I love her while I was intoxicated after a session of heavy drinking so she didn't believe me initially. Luckily, a few days later, she met me in town and said that she realised that it wasn't just the alcohol and that I really meant it. However, she told me that she needs time to sort her life out coz she has just left her ex a few weeks ago.

What do I do? Do I tell her that I love her again? I kind of think that I don't need to. It might scare her off and she knows that I love her already. Maybe showing that I love her would be better. If so, what can I do to show it? Do you think she needs more time? I really want to be with her and it's driving me crazy.
