  • How do I make him stop harassing us?

My brother has been harassing my daughter & myself for a year now. Due to an ugly white trash Jerry Springer type affair he's been having with a woman that stayed 30 days with myself & my daughter.

I told him I wanted NO part in the crap- (he was married at the time) I told him I did NOT want to be in the middle of it all- well things escalated between her and myself...& I kicked this woman out of my home. Ever since that day- I have been harassed..for almost a year- but I have refused to engage in his childish behavior ignoring everything. However he will NOT stop..My teenage daughter is so sick of it all... it is not fair to her He has even resorted to try to ruin her reputation as well mine... Our state will do nothing unless he actually threatens my life.. So what am I to do?? He has told me each time- that he is out of my life forever and 2 weeks later starts all over again.. Can anyone offer any advice?? How can I get him out of my life forever?

  • Why would a stepfather that had nothing to do with a child during a marriage, want a relationship after....?

After the marriage breaks up? My daughter is a teen, has told this man after we left over a year ago- that she didn't want him in her life. We had to go as far as having her number changed.. he'd send about 10+ texts a day on top of constant calling... he recently aquired her number again and started calling - she told him once again.... Why now?? When we lived as a family - she was always treated by him like an outsider.. NOW- he wants to claim her as his own...?? Despite boundaries that I as the mother set - he refused to respect them.. The law stated unless we were threatened- they could do nothing .. Any thoughts??

  • What are your thoughts on this situation?

My brother (who is married) has "hooked up" with one of my friends (who is in process of getting a divorce)... I do not agree with this relationship & have made it known. The two of them- have been pretty discrete until this past weekend.

My friend & I both have teen daughters- 16 yo...

My brother had promised the 2 girls a nice weekend..by the water.. ( I had already tried to get out of going..but it didn't work) Well- I was assured that the "weekend"- would be all about the girls...(what a joke!)

My daughter & I arrived Friday 11:00 am..the "friend & her daughter around 3:30pm.. he spend a total of 3 hours with his niece... before they arrived... once the other 2 arrived- they took off- leaving her teen daughter with me... the next day, he took all of us out in the boat... anchored near a barrier island to let the girls swim.. once again- those 2 took off leaving me with the 2 teens... Sunday- was a bust- the 2 of them were all over each other - in front of the teens...(nice examples)

By then both of the girls were ticked...

I had had enough - and took my daughter to one of our favorite places.. spent the evening taking pics and enjoying nature.

Monday morn- we were up very early- packing the car.. then my brother is "MR I am concerned".... we said our good byes and my daughter & I left... Now my daughter had been very vocal- since she didn't get to spend as much time with her uncle as she wanted. Since he was to busy playing with is toy...

She made a post on her FB account- stating she "had an ok weekend but did have a good time with mom.".. My brother sees this and now has dubbed her an ungrateful spoiled brat! She has never been spoiled- she is the type of child that appreciates time more than things..she IS one of the rare few.. This has hurt her deeply- she has not had ANY true positive male role models in her life- Her real father left when she was 13 days old, her stepfather was abusive to us both... now the only person she believed she could trust- has now let her down...

How about some thoughts on how others might handle this situation..??

  • How would you handle this situation ?

I take in a friend & her daughter..who left an abusive relationship. My married brother has now caught her eye- and I find they have been secretly meeting (obviously not a secret anymore)... I've come home on many occasions to find- I am left to tend to her teen as well as my own.. I know- that isn't a big deal- but the teen is asking questions & the mother(my friend?) has been lying to her.. I am caught in the middle from all sides. I am curious how others would handle this situation. Advise please.......

  • Why are so many Seventh Day Adventist husbands abusive?

At what point do these men "think" abuse is biblical? Why do they "think" it's okay for them to abuse their families, verbally, emotionally, physically and/or sexually?

I myself got out of a relationship BEFORE it became physically abusive- however, I found out this weekend, a friend of mine has been suffering all of the above for many years..now it has escalated and she is leaving. What gives these men the right to treat the families like this? When it is in total contradiction of the Bible's instruction !!

  • Why would he not respond to the request ? (male answers please)?

I asked this earlier- but have added a few extra details to see if the response is the same..I want males to give an honest opinion.. of what they think might be the issue.

Can someone give a bit of insight as to why a male would not return an apartment key (he wasn't living there- just so he could come in and make himself at home while she was at work) ..when the female has said- it is better to go their separate ways?? Also-he will not respond to requests for the return of the key..??

There was an argument prior to her stating that they should go their separate ways. He had lashed out at her over something minor. He had told her once before that he was NOT letting her slip out of his hands.Really the relationship was not bad- just he never had the time to commit to an actual relationship..and she felt it best they go their separate ways........Could it be a control issue? Is he simply angry? I want male opinions please

  • What do you think? Is he stupid?

My spouse is verbally & mentally abusive... For about 2 years I have been making plans to get my daughter & myself out of the situation-- I have become much stronger mentally & refuse to let his verbal abuse win-- Now all of a sudden..I am being falsely accused of having an affair....... (just because I have refused to continue to kiss his butt & let him rule me??) This has me baffled as to where he is getting this idea..?? I am never alone (always have daughter w/ me) or I am at home or work- Where on earth does he get these ideas??

  • What exactly is the difference between the Enabling Act and the Patriots Act??

I just came back from my trip to Europe. We spent several days in Germany... I came back with a whole new outlook on our own Government- a scary one.... no wonder the Germans look down their noses at us... We are all looking like fools for allowing such things to happen...and look at us- economy failing.... prices skyrocketing beyond what the common man can afford...... destroying our own country & freedoms for what?? To repeat history-- to live through this same horror many of our ancestors lived through??? Why??

  • Which Commandments are being referred to in Revelations 14:12?

Revelations 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

    *********************************************************************

This whole chapter is about end time events- could it be that the Ten Commandments are going to STILL be intact even unto the last days?? Could it be that those that KEEP God's Commandments will be persecuted as in the reformation days? Could it be that IF you do NOT keep God's Commandments - you will in fact receive the Mark of the Beast?? Read the entire chapter please..This is still to come- If this is still to come -- and there are only (2) things identifying God's true people (Obeying Commandments AND Faith) is it possible that the Law still stands as before......????

  • When Judgment day comes.....What will God use to Judge us by?

I hear this alot and it really cracks me up... In the OT there are many Laws.... there are Health Laws, Ceremonial Laws AND Gods Law...When someone questions any part of these Laws from the OT--the classic responses are: That was the covenant between the Jews & God--- Oh those only applied to the Jews--- Oh that was done away with when Jesus was crucified... -- now-- If Christ was the Sacrificial Lamb.... They Law DONE AWAY WITH... Was the Ceremonial.....NOT the

Ten Commandments-- If you truly believe that the Ten Commandments have been done away with... what exactly are we to be judged by on Judgement day??-- Christ's crucifixtion is not a free ticket to ride. He came here to teach us to follow GOD's LAW out of love for him-- not fear...... He repeatedly mentions this-- right down to when he gives us 2 new commandments.. not to replace but summarize....follow Gods Law out of Love for him.

  • Is this a normal man thing? If not-- can someone explain this?

A friend (I will call him B) of ours (my spouse & I) has a new girl friend (I will call her R)-- we met her this past weekend. My spouse spends hours chatting away ..(being the center of attention) While I was spending time with other friends @ the same function.. My spouse was insistant that I go meet her, I finally agreed and after only a short few moments she & I discover we have much in common. R & I talk for about 15 minutes.. then I got up to take care of something-- my spouse comes over putting his arm around me..asks R... "If you had to choose.. which one would you choose?" Why would he do something like this? Why would he ask this woman who she would choose?? Him or his wife?? He has been doing some real off the wall stuff lately-- has he lost his mind?

  • Can anyone provide the scripture text, Where God/Jesus changed the 4th commandment?

Many Christians claim the 4th commandment has been changed, or we are no longer under the Law.. I want the scripture where the Creator of the Law changed it . If we are told by Jesus "If you break one you are guilty of breaking all" ..

& We are told we are to keep the commandments right until the end of time- (See- Rev 22:14)

    Keep in mind this :

    Matthew 5:17-18

17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Jesus was emphasizing an importance here- when he said

"Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in NO wise pass from the law" It does not say until his crucifiction- It says the law stands until ALL is fulfilled- ALL has not yet been fulfilled- If all prophecy had been fulfilled- then we would be with him in heaven now...
