  • Why does every application ask if you are Hispanic? Are they discriminating against other races?

    I can't figure it out. I even asked a government employee and the person did not know why either. This is very strange indeed. There is a definite reason they ask this question but no one seems to know. I feel discriminated against because I'm only African American who's ancestry goes back 200 years in this Country (USA) Is this why most jobs employ Hispanics here in Los Angeles? When you call businesses they prompt you to push a number to continue in English! Our own language! What's up? Shouldn't businesses make someone who speaks another language other than English push the number to continue in another language? Something is terribly wrong here. Aren't we suppose to speak English in The United States Of America?

  • what is the difference between platinum plated and rodium plated jewelry?

    I know platinum and rodium are in the same family of precious metals, my jeweler says they are the same. He says one is liquid and the other is melted. Anyone know the skinny on this ?
