  • Chemistry unknown substance solubility test question?

In one of the tests, I tested the solubility of my aq unknown in HCl and NaOH. In both tests nothing happened. The unknown had already been dissolved in H20 earlier(to make my substance aq) , so when i added HCl and NaOH(seperately). It remained the same as before.

What does this imply about the structural properties of my unknown

  • How do i solve this physics problem? Really confused?

In all the following problems state the variables or combination of variables which should be plotted to check the suggested variation and state how the unknown may be found ( through the slope and/or intercept of the best fitting straight line y = m x + b). Because you are not given any numerical data it is just required to qualitatively describe you method of solution in few lines with schematic graphs.

The fundamental frequency of vibration of a string is given by where f , ℓ , and T are measured variables. Determine m.

the equation is f= 1/2L ( square root of T/m)

  • Physics question please please help?

In all the following problems state the variables or combination of variables

which should be plotted to check the suggested variation and state how the unknown

may be found ( through the slope and/or intercept of the best fitting straight line

y = m x + b.). Because you are not given any numerical data it is just required to

qualitatively describe you method of solution in few lines with schematic graphs.

The gas law for an ideal gas is PV = RT , P and T are measured variables, V is fixed and

    known. Determine R.

please help, i understand how to get R, but how would i show that graphically?

    thanks

im confused b.c isnt temperature directly proportional to pressure. So doesnt this mean that its graph will have a slope of x and volume will equal R. That doesnt make sense.

In an experiment on free fall under gravity the following table is established....(we are given a table)

Let the mathematical model be x=0.5gt^2 and assume that x=0 and t=0

How would we find the value of the constant g, using the logarithmic method. We have to find it from a straight line graph?? im soo confused please help.

  • Physics projectile motion question?

    57. A rock is thrown vertically upwards with a speed of 12 m.s from the roof of a building that is 60 m above the ground. a) in how many seconds after being thrown does the rock strike the ground? B) what is the speed just before it strikes the ground.

Im confused in part a) as i got the right answer using -60 as the distance. Why is it negative? and then in part b) i used positive 60 and got the right answer. How do i know when its negative or positive?

  • Physics kinematics problem?

During an auto accident, the vehicle's air bags deploy and slow down the passengers more gently than if they had hit the windshield or steering wheel. According to safety standards, the bags produce a maximum acceleration of 60g, but lasting for only 36 ms (or less).

How far (in meters) does a person travel in coming to a complete stop in 36 ms at a constant acceleration of 60g?

I got the answer of 0.38 m using the following formula.

    x=v0 + 1/2at^2

however im confused, why is the intital velocity 0. I dont understand the logic behind that.

    Thanks :D

  • am i underestimating my achievement?

So i grade 10 math, i did horrible as i didnt try at that period of time. I recieved a 52% overall average, with a 67% average in alll my combined courses.

I realized that i need to step up my game, and in grade 11 i recieved 80% in math, and around 82% overall.

And i continued with my studies in grade 12, as i recieved 85% in mathematics, and 81% overall average.

Is this a rare achievement, and should i be more proud of myself, than i am.

Also in grade, i recieved an Scholar award, meaning i obtained an 80+ overall average.
