How do you know if your writing is good enough to be accepted into a special school that made just for creative writing? My friend was raving about this school (SCGSAH) and I checked it out, and I really would love to do there. I love writing, but I'm afraid that my writing is too bad to get in. I can't apply for another year, so I guess I can grow, but still.

Have any of y'all heard about South Carolina's Governer School for the Arts and Humanities? (SCGSAH)?

On the doll thing, I have this really pretty floral cami, and jean skirt and really pretty pair of flats I was going to wear.

Okay, so I dont have a costume and today is the last day I have to get a costume. I was kinda thinking of being a doll (maybe Barbie? Porcelain?) but my friend said that weird. I now kinda want to go as one since I cant find any costumes in the stores. Im 14 ur old girl.

I was listening to the radio late last night and a song came on that I really like, but I have no idea what song it was. (its a american pop station). It was a male voice (think he was British). Some words I remember are: remember when we were kids, sippin' bottles of wine? Something about kicking balls at our feet. And something about stealing the girls dads or something with the words I never thought we'd get that far.

Okay, so im going into 8th grade on Tuesday and NONE of my friends are ANY of my classes. Not a single one. Instead all the people that I dont perfer are in every single class of mine. Since I am considered a loser, just becoming friends with them insnt possible (they are popular). I HATE being alone. I just really need help on what to do. Any tips?

So im about to start 8th grade and wanted to up my look. All through 7th grade, I only wore mascara, and I want to wear a bit more.

Im pretty pale, have grey blue eyes (thats kinda small) and average brown hair thats long but short layered. What should I put on? Please give detail, as im prettty lost when it comes to makeup.

Im writting a retelling of the greek myth Artemis and Orion. I picked the verison where they loved each other but at the end Apollo tricked her into killing Orion. I have everything eles planned out, except the ending. Since its a modern retelling, I dont want my MC to be murderer. But instead of him getting killed, what are some other things that would lead to him being gone forever? I want a sad ending that's caused by her.

As pratice writting, i'm going to write retellings of some myths. I know so many Greek/Roman myths, I cant choose one to write about. Im just curious as to which myths people actually like.

(I know they are not real, I am just simply trying to find out some myths for my book.)

There are alot of myths circulating about mermaids, ecspecially now. So, I decided to write about them for my book. But I have a hard time finding "info" on them and their ways of "life." So can someine answer these questions for me? Oh, and im talking about siren like mermaids, not Ariel like mermaids.

1. Where do they live? Bottom of ocean? Sea caves?

2. What do they eat? Or get drinkable water?

3. How do they speak underwater?

4. If they have no feet, how do they get on those huge rocks?

5. How do you become one?

6. Laws that they live by? Like basic ones, not ones that I (the author) should make up.

7. Do they breathe?

8. Where do they get their combs and mirrors?

9. Do their songs have words, or they just sweet alluring sounds?

10. What are some other knowledge that you know about them?

Sorry that it's so long! But I would really like to know what most myths say/what people think. I'll probally just make some of these stuff up, if nobody knows the answer to a question.

Okay, so i'm currently writting a fantasy book. Im still in early stages of planning it, so it has major holes in it. Its about this mermaid whos life is changed when a girl of legend shows up. But I need help, I dont know what to write. So what do YOU want to read about in a fantasy book? Anything can happen.
