why are wild rats disgusting? homeless people can't help being a little more unkempt than someone with access to shelter and a shower. (not to offend anyone. hell i've been there.) but in all honesty, once treated for fleas/ticks, wildies are wonderful pets, provided they're hand raised. so what is so bad about them?

i don't understand why people think bettas can live in a bowl. like a half gallon one. and be fed scarcely twice a week, or oooh "if you get a plant you never have to feed it". since when do bettas eat PLANTS!? yeah, i'd eat it too if i were STARVING! really people don't do research and pet stores give people bad info. i would like people's opinions on the matter.

i have an eastern fence. he's about 5 inches not including tail and he lives in a 20Long. i'm pretty happy with his setup but i am going to revamp his cage next week and would like some ideas on things to make him happier. so anyone who has had or has a fence, please respond and explain your setups. he has a basking house (kinda ceramic type material), a log, some driftwood, and a plant. oh and his water dish, dripper, basking spot, and uv light, etc. some of the pictures (with the incandescent light and bark chips) are old. he has a heat emitter and eco earth now.
