  • Is there something wrong with Facebook?

Hi, a friend of mine recently added a new friend on facebook, but I noticed yesterday it says she added someone else who she had been Facebook friends with for a while, and them again today I noticed it says she added her Dad as a friend? (When he was already a friend for agesss too)

Is there anything wrong or has anyone else noticed this? I have not yet asked her if she has had to re-add these people for a certain reason but I will ask when I see her next. Although I'm pretty sure her and her Dad wouldn't accidently become unfriended and with the other friend too it just seems a bit weird...

    Can someone enlighten me?

    Thanks very much.

  • Cost of a long weekend to Paris?

Hi, this probably won't ever happen but I'd like to have some idea in my head if it did happen.

My friend a while ago mentioned taking a holiday in Paris, and I said I'd look up how much it could cost and all that. Since then it's not been mentioned, and I know she's not deadly serious about going but I know she'd absolutely love to if she had the chance, so here I am looking it all up. I would expect it'd be myself, her and her mum and younger sister.

I was thinking of Friday night to Monday, so 3 nights. Not too bothered about the hotel, from research so far mostly 3 stars room only have been coming up, which is fine, but this would depend on the prices, so how much would a decent hotel be?

How much does food cost out there, how much would we need for 3 breakfasts/lunches/dinners each?

How much are the main sort of activities and attractions, like say the Eiffel Tower, Seine River etc.?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Question about learning to ride a motorbike?

Hi, I'm thinking about learning to ride a motorbike and need some advice. Get ready for a lot of questions :') I'm 20 years old, with a full UK Car licenseand and I want to hold an A2 Motorbike license. (I can do this, without having A1 or lower first, right?)

I understand that you firstly need a CBT and Motorcycle Theory test certificate. What does the CBT involve?

Do I need to take lessons first? If so how many is the average and how expensive are they?

What are the cheapest (Decent) bikes I can get that meet the minimum requirements for the A2 Test?

    How much is insurance?

How much does the test cost?

Then after I pass my A2, it's 2 years until I can take the A unrestricted test, right?

Silly question but the last one, how much is all the gear you need, like bike trousers, boots etc? I already have a helmet as I was a passenger with my dad on his motorbike until he sold it.

Thanks very much! Sorry to be a pain!

  • Appealling a parking ticket?

My friend got a ticket today for parking on the kerb where there wasn't a marked bay or anything. She wants to appeal it because since she got her car 3 years ago she had always parked on that kerb when visting her Dad, and has never got a ticket. Also, today, there were 6 other cars parked exactly the same as she was, and noone else but her got a ticket.

I've read in the highway code that is says you shouldn't park on the kerb or pavement, but can she appeal this ticket, mainly because noone else got one?

If she were to appeal, what might the outcome be? The charge is currently £55 if paid within the first 14 days, otherwise after this it is £110.

    Thanks all.

  • How to record a good quality guitar cover?

Hi, I was wondering how I can make guitar video that doesn't sound all crappy and that isn't a complete waste of time.

On the very few occasions I have recorded myself playing, because I don't generally have many resources to do this (I have my computer, my phone, etc.) it has always been very very poor sound quality.

When I try it, I generally set up my guitar as I like it, and play the music from my speakers linked to my computer, and try to match the volume levels the best I can. I set my phone in the stand on its case up, angle it correctly on the front-facing camera, and press record, and start playing the music and in turn my guitar.

I once did a decent cover using my JamVOX programme with the phone set up on top of the JamVOX amp on my desk, and sort of sounded OK. But I want to play from my amplifier because I think it sounds better, and each time I do, it sounds RUBBISH.

I have also tried using the webcam on my computer to record it, but it is just even worse.

Ideally I'd like to be able to just use the very limited equipment I have, as I'm not massively interested in recording, I just want to send the odd video to a friend of mine. But if anyone has any CHEAP suggestions, then please say so! :)

    Thank-you!

  • Deciding between these three Guitar Amps?

Hi, thinking of getting a new guitar amp. Not really sure what I'm looking for. A previous question I posted got responses such as the Peavey Vypyr Nano and the Peavey Vypyr VIP 1.

Thing is, I'm not sure I want a modelling amp. I only have one effect pedal, so maybe it might be a good idea, but it all seems a bit confusing and complex to me, although I know I will get used to it in the end.

The last amp I am considering is the Marshall MG15CFX.

The play songs from bands such as Foo Fighters, Guns N' Roses, Kings Of Leon, etc.

    Thoughts?

  • Recommend me a Guitar Amplifier?

Hi, I kind of fancy getting a better guitar amp. All I currently have is the amp which came with my first ever guitar, an Eastcoast CA20R Combo, which I think is alright, but I have some money left over from Christmas and I was wondering what anyone could recommend me? The type of music I play is rock music, bands such as Guns N' Roses, Foo Fighters, some Kings Of Leon etc. I would like as versatile an amp as possible, and there's lits of different songs I want to learn at the moment.

I'm not being lazy and not looking for myself, I just wouldn't know where to start!

I want to spend around £100, but please don't limit suggestions to this amount.

    Thanks!

  • Had scrotal hernia when I was born, could this affect my fertility now?

When I was born, I was 10 weeks premature, and had a hernia in my belly button, but I only found out 3 days ago that I also had a scrotal hernia. Both of which were sorted when I was around 6 months old, and I am now 19. My question is, could the scrotal hernia have affected my fertility now?

To clarify, I'm not asking this because I'm looking to have kids, but so that I know if there is a possibility.

    Thank you.

  • ClubHotel Riu Oliva Beach Fuerteventura Question?

We will be on holiday at the ClubHotel Riu Oliva Beach hotel in Fuerteventura soon, and I had a question about the availability of WiFi in the hotel.

    http://www.thomson.co.uk/destinations/europe/spain...

    On the link, it says:

    "WiFi in reception*"

"*Items marked with * incur extra charges which are payable locally"

I was wondering how much it is to use, and for how long?

    Thanks.

  • How can I kill these bugs on my fruit and veg plants, and stop them coming back?

Hi, I am growing some fruit and veg in my garden, and have today unfortunately discovered lots of different bugs over most of them.

I have tomato plants, which appear to have small black flies on them, and another with small green flies. I suspect these could be aphids, although I'm not sure. I've noticed lots of small spiders with webs on my tomato and strawberry plants?

On my broccoli plants, I have found these very small, almost caterpillar like insects, living on the backs of the leaves, and eating small holes on them.

I have also found on one of my onions, some strawberries, and rosemary plants a strange white foam, to which I heard from somebody that you can use washing up liquid and water to get rid of, which i have sprayed over it. It appears to have just straight away removed it, although I think there is a small yellow creature living inside the foam?

I have sprayed everything with washing up liquid, hoping this works, and will check again in the morning.

How can I kill these pesky things, and what can I do to deter them in the future?

  • Commute to Bishop's Stortford?

Hi, so I will be driving to Bishop's Stortford from either Dagenham or Hornchurch on Tuesday morning. We must be there at 9am.

From looking at Google Maps, it says to take the A406/M11 from Dagenham or the M25/M11 from Hornchurch.

I was wondering 2 things: Which is quicker, and how long should it take in the morning, what's the traffic like?

Google Maps says it should be quicker from Hornchurch, but most likely be going from Dagenham as I have to pick somebody up first.

At first I was thinking to meet at her house (In Dagenham) for about 7.30am, giving us 1hr 30mins to get there, but I have a feeling I should make it even earlier, meeting at 7.00am to give us 2hrs?

I know this probably won't get any answers, but I greatly appreciate anyone taking the time to help me out!

    Thanks!

  • Guitar String wont stay in tune, just one string?

I seem to always have a problem with the G string. This time it seems that on this guitar, as soon as I start to play or do the slightest bend, it goes badly out of tune.

In have recently changed the strings, so this is a fairly new string.

I also notice a very slight sort of buzzing or rattling kind of noise when i play this string sometimes, and it is not the usual string buzz you might encounter, as I think the noise is coming from around the bridge?

    Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

  • Music won't play in order on HTC One?

Hi, at first when I played music on my HTC One, I'm sure it played it in order, for example if I clicked on an album to play it would play in order from track 1 to the last track. But now it won't do it and just goes from track 1 to any random track in that album??

I even started playing the album, went onto the queue screen, and the tracks were in order, so I played the album and it started on track 1, then went to track 7 after that??

    How can I fix this?
