  • How do I add a special page to my website?

Hello. Thanks in advance for any assistance. I am currently in the process of building a website. I need to create an 'agreement' page in which i am going to list several statements....I need there to be a box next to each statement that the user will have to checkmark and then a place at the bottom where they can submit a virtual signature. It will have to be where the user cannot proceed and the page cannot be 'accepted' untill all of the boxes are checked and the agreement is virtually signed. Is this beyond a novice builder's ability, or is there a website out there that will teach me how to build this page? Thanks again for any help!

  • mckays used bookstore?

I have never sold at McKay's used bookstore before and wonder if anyone has had experience selling there before? I'm just trying to get a rough idea of the amount of cash they pay for certain things. I have a lot of hardback children's books in good shape (some disney, dr seuss, etc) and would like a ballpark figure of what they might pay in cash for each. Anyone with selling experience with advice greatly appreciated!

  • How do I determine who has 'shared' my post on facebook?

I have a business for which I have created a facebook page. I have offered a little promotion in which people who share a specific post on my page will be entered into a drawing to win a prize. If I am on my business page I cannot see where anyone has shared the link. However, if I log into my personal page and go to my business page that way, I can see where my husband has shared the link in question. I need to know if there is a way to check the link on my business page to see who has shared it so I can give away my prize. For some odd reason, every time I try to ask this question in the facebook forums, it blocks it as 'against the guidelines' or 'spam'?????? For the record, it is a simple text message with an attached photo of a harvest scene. For reference, the name of the business is AGS PICS and it is the October 5 link. Any help appreciated!

  • What are some Pigeon Forge, TN hotels where I can get a two bedroom suite?

We are looking for a hotel room in Pigeon Forge that will sleep six people all in beds (not having anyone on a rollaway or fold out sofa). I know that Briarstone offers this, is there any other hotels you can think of? We really need two queen or double beds in one room and a single double bed in the other. Thanks in advance!

  • Anyone have experience in the past as a Cenus Supervisor?

I'm just wondering what the responsiblities are of the census supervisor. Do supervisors do a lot of field work or is it mostly managing a group of workers who go into the field? I was offered a supervisor's position and the recruiter skimmed over the job but I would like to hear from someone who has done it or has knowledge of it. Thanks!

  • Can you give me a little tax advice?

I need some help determining why I am not seeing credit for certain deductions this year. For the record, our household income is almost the same as it was last year, give or take a few hundred. We are using the same form and claiming the same deductions this year as always. However for some reason, whenever I input our house mortgage interest and charitable donations, I am not seeing any credit going toward our taxes. We have always had credit toward these items in years past and, as I said, with our salary remaining the same, I do not see why we are not getting any credit toward these things this year. For the record nothing else has changed either....no new house, no new baby, no kids driving, leaving for school, leaving home, etc. The only difference I know of is that we adjusted our taxes last year so that we would not pay so much in during the year and get back less of a refund. Has anything changed that would cause us not to receive these credits that we have consistently received in years past? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

  • What are some good deals in Panama City Beach, FL?

We are travelling to Panama City Beach later this month on a very tight budget. Things we are especially wanting to do there are the pirate cruise and Coconut Creek golf/maze. Does anyone know of a way of getting some better than average deals on these attractions? Also open to any other suggestions for money saving that you have for anything else (restaurants, etc.). We'll definately be picking up the travel saver magazines/brochures but thought that someone real familiar to the area or 'locals' could give us some insider tips for even more savings. Thanks!

  • Is there a website for Panama City Beach condo rentals where you can post requests?

My family and I will be visiting the Panama City Beach area in August. I have found a ton of websites such as vrbo.com where condos are offered privately but I am wondering if there is a legitimate site where you can go and post the dates you would like to travel and get offers from condo owners. Also, what are the most kid friendly hotels/condos in Panama, in your opinion? I'd prefer clean and inexpensive that would still be fun, with poolside movies, nice pool, possibly a playground and gameroom. We've stayed at Holiday Inn Sunspree before but we're on a very tight budget this year and even that is going to be too expensive.

  • Why are questions removed?

Is there a list somewhere that explains why an asked question might be removed? I posted a question a few days ago asking how I could determine the size of a pair of boots. It was pretty straigtforward, telling the brand of boots and the other markings inside that might help someone to help me. Nothing nasty, nor a 'dumb' question by any means. Maybe it was because it mentioned the brand name??? Your thoughts appreciated.

  • How do I seal the paint?

I have a piece of furniture that was painted with an interior semi gloss paint. The original surface had a finish before it was painted and it seems as if the paint that was applied could scratch off fairly easily. I would like to seal the paint to prevent scratches and had thought that I could use polyurathane but after reading the back of the polyurathane can it seems that it is not intended for painted surfaces. Could I use an acrylic sealant? If not what is the best thing to use? Thanks for your help.

  • What is the best color for this room?

I am a mural artist and my 7 year old has far outgrown his Sesame Street Mural and we are getting ready for a room makeover. He wants another mural but is having a hard time deciding if he wants a Star Wars themed room or an Army Themed room. So to compromise what I plan to do is paint an army theme on his wall and then install a pull down movie projector screen over the mural and actually paint the screen with a star wars theme mural. Then he can switch murals to his liking. I would like the other three walls to be painted with a color that would compliment both themes but the only color I can think of that would work with both is black, and I really don't want to go there. Any ideas for other colors and if you have a suggestion, can you please give further ideas about how that color could compliment both themes? Thanks!

  • Why would my tooth be hurting?

I went to the dentist last week after having lost a filling and was told I needed a root canal on the tooth with the missing filling and two small cavities filled on other teeth. Later I started experiencing pain in a tooth, and I assumed it was one of the ones that needed a filling. I went back to the dentist yesterday for my fillings and asked if the painful tooth was one that needed filled. I was told that the tooth in question was perfectly fine. I explained that it had been bothering me so he took another look at my bitewing and said that while he could see no problems with the tooth itself, that the nerves did have a blurry appearance, which indicated that something was going on with the tooth. He then said that sometimes when one tooth has a problem that it can sometimes be felt in other teeth, and recommended that I get the problem teeth taken care of to see if that cleared my pain in the otherwise 'fine' tooth. The bad teeth are on the bottom and the good but painful one is on the top. Has anyone else experience this or have any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

  • Why don't my gages work in my 1999 Plymouth Voyager?

I have had a problem for about a month now with my gages only wanting to work part time. The gages are most noticeable, but when they are not working, the doors do not automatically lock at 15 mph and digital information on the display panel such as mileage and what you are in (Drive, Reverse etc) does not show up either. I assume I might need a fuse but wanted to check here as my car knowledge is very limited. Thanks!

  • Can I offer party movies without having to pay a fee?

If all goes well next summer will find me in the party rental business. One thing I would like to do is offer rental of equipment to allow patrons to show a movie in their backyard.

I thought it would be a nice feature to have a limited selection of DVD's on hand and allow the renters the option of choosing a movie for their party. This would just be offered as a service and my fee would be the same whether they wanted to use one of my movies or their own. If I were to offer this service, is there a chance that I would have to pay some sort of public viewing royalties? The client would be choosing movies at random and the party would still be private, yet I worry about that 'private exibition' rule.

  • In this instance, can the collections department keep calling me?

Okay first my story. I have two credit card accounts with WAMU. In early September I made two seperate payments, what I thought would be one for each account. Pretty soon after that I discovered that I had actually paid the same account two times by accident. I called WAMU and explained what had happened. Despite telling them precisely where they could find the payment to cover the now past due account, and even with CS Rep admitting that she could clearly see two payments on the same account, she still insisted on opening an 'investigation' and wanted my bank account number, time of payment etc etc.

I thought this was ridiculous. This also happened to me a long time ago with another bank where I had two accounts and they were able to move the money as I held on the phone. I also worked for a large landline phone company 10 years ago where we could do the same thing instantly, which left me flabbergasted why a company as large as WAMU couldn't seem to do this.

After a few days I was called by their collections department and I gave my story again. They could also see the two payments on the one account but again, wanted all my account information, which I did not have at the time as I was at work when they called.

In time I simply accepted the fact that obvious payment records and common sense was not going to get my money moved, so I gave them the requested information so they could do their investigation.

Since that information has been received and apparently they haven't 'ahem' figured out where the payment has gone yet, I continue to receive collection calls. Any advice on what my rights are as far as them having received my dispute claim and continuing to call?

  • What would you suggest for a party movie?

We will soon be hosting a party for an 8-9 year old soccer team, with both boys and girls on the team. We will be showing an outdoor movie in the evening and would like to know some of your opinions on what would be a good movie to show that everyone would enjoy. I would like something along the line of Night at the Museum but fear that most in attendance will have already seen it.

  • Who's getting credit cards these days?

A few years ago I was able to get credit cards with fairly good credit lines rather easily. Fast forward five years. My credit score is about 50 points higher and my debt is down, yet I'm getting turned down for new credit cards (I was trying to take advantage of a zero interest rate balance transfer offer). I realize in the economy lenders are probably getting more paticular about who they approve. Just wondering where your credit score has to be nowadays to be considered.

  • Your McDonalds Survey?

Your McDonald's specialty menu depends on where you live. In the southeast U.S. it includes the Southern Style Chicken Sandwich. In Maine, i'm told, they have some sort of a lobster sandwich (or maybe it was a salad). A travelling salesman I once knew said he patronized a McDonalds in Austrailia that had beets as a sandwich condiment. So what regional item is on the menu at your McDonalds?

  • Does anyone here own an ice cream truck?

I've been thinking of owning my own ice cream truck and was wondering specifically what the wholesale cost was of those spiderman/dora the explorer/danny phantom bars? Also what are the prices you charge for your different types of ice cream.

  • How can I get my toilet to stop leaking?

I wish I had more room to write, but here goes. Water was running into toilet constantly, so I bought a complete toilet repair kit. Installed the kit and turned on the water. Problem with water running into toilet seemed to be resolved but now had a new problem: Heavy drip around one of the screws from the bottom of the tank.

When I tried to reassemble the tank to the back of the bowl, the two pieces didnt want to fit together properly. Took off the new rubber seal and replaced with the old, still did not want to fit together. Was getting tired at this point and decided to reassemble anyway. Tank was put on but wobbled a little. Ironically, no leak from the old rubber seal area, but one of the screws has a constant leak now, even though screw, bolt and washer was completely replaced (twice to be exact--not a problem on the other side). Why can't I get the tank to sit properly, and why is the one screw leaking? Is it time to toss the 'do it yourself' towel and call a pro?
