Is there a way to play music from my Android phone through my car's speakers without an aux port?
I want to be able to play music from my Android phone through my car's speakers. The problem is that my car does not have an auxiliary port. However, it does have a cigarette lighter/charging outlet. I used to have a device that would let me plug in my phone to the charger and then tune my phone to a blank radio station, and then play the music through the radio station. This device broke, and I can't find a similar one anymore. Is there anything like this available on the internet?
Alternatively (and preferably) is there a device that acts as a car charger to aux cord adapter sort of thing? Like something that would plug into the charging port and then have a cable come out that I could connect to my phone's headphone jack? Or would that not work given that my car has no auxiliary port?
I just want to be able to play music from my Android phone through my car's speakers, but it doesn't have an aux jack. If there is any way I can do this please let me know! Links would be much appreciated! Thanks.
2 AnswersCar Audio5 years agoIs it a bad idea to ask this girl out?
To make a verrrrryyyyyy long story semi-short, I'm a guy, a junior in high school, there is this girl I like that is a senior. We met from cross country in September, we flirted a lot and I thought she liked me, I decided to ask her out, and then ultimately I didn't because she flipped her back on me 180 and made it very clear she didn't like me. Then things picked up again and she has been giving me very mixed signals ever since.
To be clear, she and I are very, very good friends. I recently asked her to my junior prom and she said yes but we are currently just going as friends. For a while I resolved to just let us be friends and I wasn't going to ask her out but after months of thinking about her, recently I decided that I still like her and I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about her if I didn't just ask her out already.
I wanted to ask her out on Valentine's day because she would think that is really cute, but my only concern is that if she says no (I would say there's about a 50-50 chance she says no) then I am just concerned things might get awkward for junior prom, which is March 14. That's why I'm considering just asking her out after prom.
The other factor is that she is a senior and she will eventually be leaving for college. I talked to her best friend who said that she knows I like her, and she went back and forth trying to decide if she likes me. She said she liked me, then she didnt, then it was on an off, which I am positive means that she liked me but she was trying to convince herself that she was over me because she thought I would never ask her out. So I took this to mean that she would most definitely say yes.
Then her friend texts me back and says that she doesn't think it would be a good idea to ask her out now since she "doesn't want a relationship now because the school year will end and she will have to go away to college". If I ask her now, though, we can have a good 6 or 7 months together before she leaves. That's another reason I want to ask now and not after prom in March.
What do you guys think I should do? Thanks.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoI'm planning on asking this girl out tomorrow...is this a good script?
There is this girl that I have gotten pretty close with recently who I like. We met 3 months ago and we have since gotten to be very good friends. I am a bit worried that I might have missed my peak opportunity to ask her out about a month ago, but its too late now to worry about that. I've decided to just ask her out tomorrow and get it over with, but I am bit unsure of what exactly to say to her. So far I am planning on saying the following:
"I want to tell you something. I've been meaning to tell you this for a while, actually. I really like you. I think you're a really cool girl and you're a lot of fun. I love hanging out with you and I love talking to you. I just really like you a lot."
I am not sure how to finish it, though. Should I just leave it at that? Or should I add, "I just wanted to know if you feel the same way about me."
How is that?
Also, I am not sure how to respond if she says yes. If she says no, I know how to react, but if she says yes it could be pretty awkward depending on how she reacts. Hopefully she will smile and give me a big hug and tell me that she likes me too, and then I can just hug her back and laugh? I'm not sure, I've never asked a girl out before.
3 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoThis girl is giving me mixed signals?
I met this girl on my cross country team at school. We started talking and we got really close. There was about a month where we talked and hung out increasingly more each week, and she was really affectionate towards me, touching me a lot, giving me complements on my eyes and hair and stuff. She definitely liked me, and I liked her.
Just as I was about ready to ask her out, she sort of flipped the switch on me. Not to say she hates me now. We are still very good friends and we hang out all the time. But one day, just out of the blue, she just stopped touching me and complementing me and being affectionate towards me. I wasn't sure why. I figured that maybe she got bored or gave up hope that I would ask her out? I don't know. It was only a month. That seems like a short amount of time to lose interest.
So I've been trying to make it more clear to her that I like her. I've been touching her more and texting her more. Sometimes she is receptive to it, sometimes she is not. One day she will make me believe that she likes me. She will bump into me on purpose and make fun of me and flirt with me a lot. The next day she will shrug me off. Just as I think that maybe she just isn't into me like that, she will give me a sign that she is.
For example, the whole team was hanging out at a party. A teammate, a mutual friend of ours (I will call her Girl B henceforth), knows that I like this girl, so she was trying to instigate to help me out and get us to hook up. I was standing next to the girl and she mentions how she is really tired, so Girl B says "Why don't you take a nap on his shoulder?" The girl I like just kind of went "egh" and shrugged off the idea.
Today she asked me to play basketball with her. I was a bit surprised that she suggested basketball, but not too surprised, since all of us played basketball at the team party the night before and we all had a good time. I asked her if she wanted me to invite some other people to play, or if she wanted to play 1 on 1. I was hoping she would say 1 on 1, but she told me to get other people.
Its things like this that make me think she just doesn't like me. But then she also gives me mixed signals and makes me think that she does like me.
She will sometimes text me for like 3 or 4 hours at a time. We can have these really long text conversations, and they are good conversations, too. Sometimes I will purposely not respond to her, and then she will text me back several times to try and keep the conversation going.
She texts me lots of nonsense too, just for the sake of talking to me. The other day she texted me just to tell me that she was getting chicken with her brother.
Overall she is just very confusing and I don't understand why she just keeps flip flopping on me. Is she trying to tell me to hurry up and make a move? Or is she disinterested? Or is she still trying to feel me out to see if I actually like her? I don't get it. Normally I can really get into a girl's mind but she is just too confusing. I'll appreciate any comments anyone has.
5 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoWill the Samsung Stratosphere get Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie?
I have the Samsung Galaxy S Stratosphere on Verizon. It is currently running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. I was hoping that my phone would gain support for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, as I once read that all Android 2.3 devices would eventually gain support for Ice Cream Sandwich. Well, my phone still does not have support for it. At this point it is becoming very clear that the developers have no intention to upgrade the Stratosphere to ICS. I came to the conclusion that I would just be stuck with 2.3 Gingerbread until I can get an upgrade.
However, with the recent news that Android is coming out with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, I read this on pcmag.com:
"Citing unnamed sources, the site said the next-generation mobile operating system will be an "optimized OS" that performs well on devices with as little as 512MB, suggesting that it will have a smaller footprint that will allow it to function on a variety of devices with lower-power processors."
Since the Samsung Stratosphere has a RAM of 512MB, will I be able to upgrade my phone to 5.0 Key Lime Pie? Does it matter that my phone never got support for Ice Cream Sandwich and Jellybean? From my understanding of the quote, it seems as if Google is trying to make 5.0 Key Lime Pie compatible with middle tiered phones such as the Stratosphere. So it seems to me that I would be able to get 5.0 but I am not sure.
Thanks to anyone that can help.
2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans8 years agoHow do I prevent my cell phone's LCD from breaking? 10 points to best answer?
The last two phones I have had both broke because the screen did not work. It was not the digitizer (the outer screen that senses touch) that broke, rather, both times it was the LCD screen that broke (The LCD screen is the inner screen that emanates light and lets you see the image). Neither phone was dropped. The first phone broke while it was in my pocket and the second phone broke while it was in my bag. I dont know why either one broke, but I do know that both times it was the LCD that broke.
I had a case on my last phone and it still broke. I want to prevent the LCD from breaking a third time. What can I do to prevent this from happening?
Thanks
Cell Phones & Plans8 years agoWould it be acceptable to do this, or would it get people annoyed?
I am trying to start a club at my high school. I have done all the paperwork and the only thing left to do is find a teacher to supervise the club. I have no idea which teacher would be willing to do it. I am thinking about getting the list of staff emails off the school website and just sending out a generic mass email saying something along the lines of, "I am starting a club and need a superviser, I have sent this email out to all the teacher. If you are interested please respond. If not please ignore this message." Would this be acceptable or would it make the teachers mad? Would they consider this junk mail and a misuse of the school email system? If so, how else can I find a teacher to supervise my club?
1 AnswerEtiquette9 years agoI understand my math and do great in class, but I screw up the tests?
I am taking Algebra 2 this year. I did great in Algebra 1. I averaged an A for the year. This year, I understand everything perfectly in class and I do an excellent job on the homework. I look at my notes every night and I go back to the notes from the day before and I understand them, but I keep screwing up the tests. Every time I have a test, I make a bunch of mistakes. Why is it that I understand the lessons, and I do well on the homework, but I screw up the tests?
1 AnswerPrimary & Secondary Education9 years agoHow to find a teacher to sponsor a school club?
I am starting a club at my high school. I have filled out all the necessary paper work and gotten enough students to join. The only thing left I have to do is find a staff member to sponsor the club. How do I do this? I don't want to go around the school asking random teachers because I think that would be kind of rude, I don't want them to feel pressured to do it. What I really want is to find a teacher who is passionate about the club and who actually would like to sponsor it. It would probably not be a good idea to email the entire staff to see if they want to do it. So how do I find a teacher to sponsor my club?
1 AnswerOther - Education9 years agoThis girl likes me but I don't like her?
I met this girl at a carnival last weekend. She approached me and started talking to me. She was friendly so I was being friendly back. She friended me on Facebook. For the last few days she has been chatting me on Facebook and it turns out she goes to my school, so she has also been saying hi to me in school every day. It has become quite clear to me that she likes me. She definitely is flirting with me and wants me to make a move on her. The thing is, I don't like her like that. I have been acting friendly towards her because I am a friendly person, but I don't like her like that. I don't even consider her my friend, I don't know anything about her. Our conversations consist of
"Hey, whats up?"
"Not much"
"oh thats cool"
I want her to stop talking to me all the time. Its annoying. I want to get the message across to her that I don't like her but I don't want to be rude. What do I do?
