I have a 6.5 year old son. I am thinking of getting a small pick-up truck (Chevy S10/GMC Sonoma) but I'm not sure if that is safe for him.

I would have to put him up front with me, but the fact that there would be an airbag in front of him worries me. The airbag shuts off if the passenger is under 100lbs (which my son is).

So i guess my question is :

-Is that safe?

-What is the best way to buckle him in up front?

-Should I avoid a pick-up with no back seat?
