  • Cisco Clean Access Agent and Ad-hoc?

I'm trying to turn my Asus Eee 904HA into a wireless access point by creating an ad-hoc network, but my school uses this program called Clean Access Agent that won't let me connect to the internet if I enable network sharing. Is there any way to get around this? I can provide more information if necessary.

  • I need a secure computer case...?

I'm going to college soon, and I'm worried about people stealing my computer or parts out of it. It's probably unfounded anxiety, but I'm going to an engineering school and people would certainly be capable of removing components, even if I went so far as to bolt the case itself to my desk. My question is this: can I buy a case that has locking side-panels? Normal cases have panels attached with thumb screws, which would allow someone to take them off without so much as the use of tools. A case with locking panels would be much more secure, but I don't even know if such a thing exists, let alone where I would find one. Any help is appreciated.

  • What is the purpose of what you believe or think?

My question is this: do you ride on your system of thinking (or beliefs) in order to degrade people that don't think like you, or do you do it because you think it's right? I've seen plenty of people with plenty of different views trash each other for not thinking their way, and it comes across to me as their attempt to make themselves feel more secure. So are you simply trying to inflate yourself in your own eyes, or are you truly dedicated to your way of thinking?

  • Explain...?

Explain morals using evolution. Namely morals that cause one person to sacrifice themself willingly for another person. How does that fit in with survival of the fittest?

  • Is the universe still a singularity?

I've been thinking about this for a while now. I'm actually Christian, but I've heard that the universe was actually a one-dimensional point with infinite mass and energy that exploded into the universe we know and love. This is obviously the Big Bang definition, but I have no reason to believe that God couldn't have done it in a similar way. That being said, this really isn't about who's right about the beginnings of the universe.

What I'm wondering is if all points in the universe could still be interconnected to each other like they were at first, even though we perceive distance. Like...could space be folded in upon itself hundreds of thousands of times, ultimately becoming a singularity even though it takes on the appearance of having space? I want to know because this means humans could potentially "break through" the fabric of space-time and effectively jump to any point in the universe instantly, because all points would be occupying the same "space" as all other points.

  • What should I do?

I believe that there is a choice to be made in life: whether to follow God or Satan. I think that doing the former leads to Heaven, and the other to Hell. That being said, should I try to tell people that they need to accept Jesus as their personal savior in an attempt to save them, or should I leave everyone alone? Is it worth my time to try to find people that will listen to me, or should I just let everyone do what I call jumping off the proverbial bridge because they want me to leave them alone? Given human nature, should I be trying to jump into the bus and pull the emergency brake or stand back and wave as it drives off the cliff? Should I be halting what I believe to be the suicide of humanity or standing idly by?

Given your morals and a situation in which you could save someone that thinks they don't need to be saved, would you save them anyways or let them go?

  • As God goes to infinity...?

Does the limit of other theories approach zero?

I have this crazy way of using math to illustrate philosophical points, so bear with me. Point #1: the existence of God can't be disproved. Point #2: scientific theories always have at least some possibility of being disproved or superceded by another theory. Therefore, if we sit back and watch for an infinite amount of time, all theories that have the ability to be disproved will be. All theories that can't be disproved still won't be, and they'll be the only ones left (namely the idea of a God).

  • I need to copy the info on one EIDE hard drive onto a pair of SATA drives in a RAID...?

I was wondering if I could just hook up the two SATA drives, set them up as a Raid 0, and then move all of the information from the one EIDE drive to those drives. I'm a little unsure if I can do this because I'll be installing Windows Vista on the Raid, and I have XP on the single drive. I'm also not sure if you can move data from an EIDE drive to SATA drives, or from a single drive onto a Raid. Could someone explain if and how I can accomplish this?
