I don't have the money to repair it just now. Does anyone know if it's possible to disconnect the motor and just put it up/ down manually? ( 96 Cavalier )

I googled it and didn't come up with much.

The problem is with my 96 Chevy Cavalier. It had an electrical problem ( chewed wires ) and we had it repaired, however the mechanic reversed 2 wires and it triggered the ETS light and check engine light. From what I read the ETS can affect the timing. We just had the wires repaired again and now my car failed it's smog ( it was fine before ). The mechanic now says it's an O2 sensor.... any feedback appreciated....

I had some chewed wires repaired and the mechanic reversed two wires causing my ETS and my check engine light to come on. My registration was due and I needed my smog test done. We knew it wouldn't pass but needed the failed test in order to get a temporary sticker. The car tested fine except for the lights being on. I took it in for the repair yesterday. Lights are off, car runs great. Took it to for it's retest today and now the car is a "gross polluter" testing 2 times over the limit. Even the mechanic said he was shocked. He says he "thinks" it's an O2 sensor and I am to go back tomorrow for a diagnostic. Does this sound right??? Could the ETS throwing off my timing have killed the O2 sensor???? I'm at my witts end. Am on disablilty and can't afford this. Any ideas helpful!

he's not leash trained and has never been crated. Am shopping for a crate to transport him to the vet. Should I go with the plastic airline type or the wire training type? MUST be sturdy so he doesn't break out.

door lights and radio don't. Checked fuse for interior lights. It looks fine. Any ideas??

Mechanic can find nothing wrong with it - could it be throwing false codes? He said everything looks fine. Car is running fine too so am at wits end! Any ideas / suggestions welcome.

from his account and then this morning a offline instant messege was waiting for me!..... I reported the emails to yahoo who notified me they were investigating it and nothing was ever done. Now this is just too much! Does anyone have any ideas how to put a stop to this? Who to report it to? Needless to say this is disturbing and upsetting. I can't find a way to block them. I did report as spam repeatedly and all that happens in they end up in my bulk mail most of the time. I then contacted yahoo explaining the person has passed away and they acknowledged it must be upsetting ( you think? ) and they were investigating it. That was months ago. I actually saw the person log into messenger last night and then right back out. Then I find the offline this morning. Crazy. Any ideas what to do about it?

Has plenty of fluid but light is staying on. Tried resetting by disconnecting battery but didn't work. Could it be indicating another problem or is it just malfunctioning?

This sounds crazy to me but .... Saturday I had a flat. Neighbor came to help put spare on and in the process broke a wheel stud. Put spare on anyway and went to get a new tire driving on donut spare. At some point my check engine light and "ETS off " lights came on. Is this a coincidence or was it triggered by driving on the spare? Is there some sensor that was triggered? I've never had a car with an "ETS" so am clueless! Help!

Is there anything I can do to relieve the itching???? Help! lol

Was considering a Sebring convertible but then came across a Chevy Cavalier convertible in great condition for an awesome price. Am now considering it instead. Any opinions on this car? Reliability, good, bad otherwise?
