  • Question about Celtics jerseys?

I noticed like 90% to 95% of the time the Boston Celtics wear the jerseys that have "CELTICS" embroidered across the chest. You usually only see the jerseys that have "BOSTON" on chest when they're on that long west coast road games stretch in mid-season. They have the alternative Green/Gold and the alternative Green/Black ones.

However, very, VERY rarely they wear their typical Green/White away jerseys but they have "BOSTON" embroidered on the chest instead of the usual "CELTICS" ones...

    http://redsarmy.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/pau...

So could someone tell me what might the circumstances or rare occasion be for when the Celtics wear their barely seen Green/White "BOSTON" embroidered away jerseys?

  • Question about NBA jerseys?

Why is it that NBA teams' jerseys' sometimes have their city name embroidered across their chest and other times they have their mascot name embroidered across their chest?

I know most of you will say that it all depends on whether or not they are home or away because for most teams that does determine it. When a team's home they wear a jersey with their mascot on the chest. When they are away, they wear jerseys with their city on the chest.

However, this isn't the case with all the teams...

~The Dallas Mavericks most of the time wear their "Dallas" printed jerseys both away AND home, and very rarely will wear their "Mavs" printed jerseys but ONLY away games.

~The Los Angeles Lakers I don't believe even have a regular jersey with "Los Angeles" embroidered on the chest. (Besides their Blue throwbacks they wear occasionally) As for their modern jerseys, they always 100% of the time have "Lakers" printed on the chest, home and away.

~The Boston Celtics probably confuse me the most. Almost opposite of the Mavs, the Celtics wear their "CELTICS" embroidered jerseys probably around 90% - 95% of their games, both home and away. The only time I see them wear their "BOSTON" embroidered jerseys is when they're on that long road stretch across the west. During this long road trip, they wear their alternative away Green/Gold and Green/Black jerseys that both have "BOSTON" on the chest...

    Green/Gold "Boston" jersey : http://news.sportslogos.net/wp-content/uploads/201...

    Green/Black "Boston" jersey : http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2013/0128/grant_g_pierc...

However, very, VERY rarely (I'm guessing a few times in the season) they wear their typical Green/White away jerseys but they have "BOSTON" embroidered on the chest instead of the usual "CELTICS" ones. It's pretty hard to even find a picture of this type of jersey because they hardly wear them but I eventually found one...

    Green/White "Boston" away jersey : http://redsarmy.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/pau...

I do know that some teams only wear certain versions of their jerseys for certain rare occasions. For example, the Lakers typically wear Yellow home jerseys, but if they are playing home on a Sunday, they wear their lesser seen White jerseys.

So could someone possibly tell me what might the rare circumstances or occasion be for when the Celtics wear their barely seen Green/White "Boston" embroidered away jerseys?

And also, is there a method to the madness or is it simply different for each individual team as to when they wear jerseys with their city and when they wear jerseys with their mascot?

Please don't give me one sentence answers, I'm really curious about this and would appreciate good answers.

  • Rate my Pokémon Crystal team (1-10) and PLEASE give me some helpful input!?

I have put so much thought and time into my team, so that being said, please rate my team from 1-10 and give me your opinions and any suggestions about what you would change in their move-sets. Also, if you suggest a move, let me know what move you would take out for it as well, thanks!

Oh, and this team isn't for serious competition or anything just battling between 3 or 4 friends of mine.

    Blastoise @ Leftovers-

    ~Surf

    ~Ice Beam

    ~Toxic

    ~Mirror Coat

(Moves I'm considering: Bite, Protect, Hydro Pump, Earthquake)

    Arcanine @ Charcoal-

    ~Flamethrower

    ~Bite

    ~Thunder Wave

    ~Double Team

    (Moves I'm considering: Thunder)

    Houndoom @ BlackGlasses-

    ~Earthquake

    ~Rock Slide

    ~Bonemerang

    ~Icy Wind

(Moves I'm considering: Flamethrower, Ice Beam, ThunderPunch, Return)

P.S.- I know Cubone isn't that good, I just have him in my team because he is my favorite pokémon. However, do you think I should just put Marowak in my team instead for the significant stat boost OR just keep my original Cubone in there for the sheer fact that he is my favorite?

  • Please rate my Pokémon Crystal team and give me some input!?

So I recently picked up Crystal again and started over to challenge 3 or 4 of my friends that also started over on their 2nd Gen games. None of us are taking it too seriously and going all out with EV Training and all that, we are just mainly going on strategy of the pokémon in our teams and their move-sets.

I have put so much thought and time into my team, so that being said, please rate my team from 1-10 and give me your opinions and any suggestions about what you would change in their move-sets. Also, please let me know if you suggest a move, what move I should take out for it as well, thanks!

& One last quick question, Cubone is my favorite pokémon so that's the reason why he's in my team, although I think Marowak is awesome too, I just like Cubone a tad more.

So... Do you think I should just get a Marowak instead so my team will be that much better because of his great increase of stats, especially in Attack, or just stay with my favorite pokémon, Cubone? I haven't even started training my Cubone yet so I wouldn't have to start all over or anything. This decision has been bothering me for a while so, what do you think?

  • What year did the NBA start printing / stitching last names on jerseys?

I am interested in buying a Bill Russell jersey and was looking them up and saw the one of the official NBA Celtics cite and the name "Russell" wasn't printed on the back, just his number 6.

I looked up many pictures of him and other 50's NBA players but I can't seem to find any photos of the player's backs that are clearly visible to see if indeed they had their names printed or not.

So I was just wondering, does anybody know what year the NBA started to do so, and if by 1956 (the year Russell was drafted) they had started to print last names?

Please cite where you found the information from, cause I tried to find it for a while but had no luck.

  • Can you get into a 18+ concert that requires ID with a passport?

I am going to a concert on May 30th and you need an 18+ I.D. to get in. I am 18, but I don't have my license just a permit. So, would I be able to get into the concert if I brought my passport because technically it is a valid ID? And do you think my permit would be accepted as well?

I just don't want to spend $30 on the ticket to the show and then another $30 on an ID just for that one night.

If anyone knows anything about my situation, please let me know. It'd be much appreciated.

  • PLEASE HELP with Pokémon Crystal question about Vitamins!?

I just wanna know, would it be a waste to use a bunch of the same kind of vitamins on a pokémon all at once during the same level? Like for example, if I were to use say 5 Proteins on my Squirtle all while he is at level 5 would it do the same as if I gave him only 1 Protein?

Or should I do this method, give him 1 Protein each level up until he reaches level 15?(considering you can only give a pokémon 10 of a certain vitamin?

PLEASE help me out with this and be thorough with your answers! I don't wanna possibly waste valuable vitamins! DANKS YOOO!

  • PLEASE HELP with this Pokémon Crystal Question!?

I have a bunch of vitamins in stock that I wanna use on my Squirtle. I know I should use them as soon as possible, BUT is it fine to use more than one of the same vitamin all during the same level?

Like for example, if I gave my Squirtle say 5 Proteins all while he is at level 5, would his Attack stats change in regards to each of the 5 Proteins or would it only give credit and change as much as it would for one Protein?

I just want to know if it would be a waste to use a bunch of vitamins all at once? Or should I use one of each vitamin at level 5 and then again at 6 and again at 7 and so on, until I use the maximum 10 of each vitamin on him?

Don't tell me to use vitamins later on around the 40's or 50's because there's a good chance they will have no effect at that point because their Stat EXP would already be maxed.

Be THOROUGH with your answer, please no short one sentence answers.

  • Pokémon Crystal Question. PLEASE HELP!!!?

When would be the best time to use vitamins on a pokémon in CRYSTAL version? Keep in mind it's Crystal, so it's a SECOND GENERATION game.

Should I use them all as soon as possible at LV. 5?

Should I use 10 of each vitamin(max you can give) all at LV. 5?

Or should I give my pokémon a single vitamin of each for the first 10 level ups?

I would GREATLY appreciate your help! Anything would be MUCH appreciated! I just wanna start training my Squirtle, but don't wanna waste vitamins and also know the proper way to use them.

If you give me a good thorough answer I'll definitely give you Best Answer.

  • Yet another Pokémon Crystal Question. HELP ME OUT YO!?

If I were to train a pokémon from LV. 5 with EXP Share against very high level pokémon, like 50's, would that mean once it blasts through like 10 levels after one battle that it would miss out on Stat EXP and therefore not be as good(stat-wise) if I were to train it normally without EXP Share against practical pokémon closer to it's own level?

I know that EXP Share does share Stat EXP, but would that fact that I would only be defeating a few pokémon and leveling up A LOT mean that I wouldn't get as much Stat EXP as I would facing multiple pokémon closer to LV. 5 and slowly, gradually leveling up by himself?

To me this makes sense, cause the more pokémon your pokémon defeats, would in turn mean the more Stat EXP from each individual pokémon, right? Whereas you'd only get a little Stat EXP from a few pokémon at LV. 50, yet you'd level up much more, thus his stats wouldn't be as good if you were to train against many low level pokémon, getting far more Stat EXP from the hundreds of pokémon you defeated while slowly leveling up.

    So, is this theory right?^

PLEASE HELP ME OUT, from one Pokémon lover to another!

  • Pokémon experts, PLEASE HELP! Suggest a Blastoise moveset.?

I'm training a team to go up against my friend's team led by a level 100 pokémon and the rest are like 80s and 70s.

KEEP IN MIND------> I'm playing CRYSTAL version here folks. Only suggest Generation 2 moves please.

So far I haven't started training my new Squirtle, but his move-set so far is...

    Surf

    Ice Beam

    Tail Whip

    Mirror Coat

Now, obviously I'm taking out Tail Whip but I'm leaving the other three because they are already awesome moves and I worked too long and hard trying to get them (Ice Beam and Mirror Coat)

So what move should I put in the last and final spot of his moveset?

I'm thinking one of these but not sure which one...

    Toxic

    Protect

    Bite

Lemme know which one you think I should go with and why?

  • Pokémon experts, lend me your ears or eyes, whatever. PLEASE HELP WITH POKEMON CRYSTAL QUESTION!!!?

How would you train a pokémon at LV. 5 in Pokémon CRYSTAL, I repeat, Pokémon CRYSTAL, (2nd generation here folks, not 3rd or 4th or 5th) so that it would have max or close to max stats at LV. 100?

Also, I don't plan on battling specific pokémon to get certain EVs(or Stat EXP) That just takes too long and too much time.

So what is a way I could get the most out his stat points by simply battling random pokémon throughout the game and by using vitamins?

Should I use 10 of each vitamin(Carbos, Iron, HP Up, etc.) all while he is STILL at LV. 5 and THEN train him normally?

Should I give him vitamins gradually as he goes through levels?

    Also...

Is it a bad idea to use EXP share on that LV. 5 pokémon? (I heard that when trained using EXP share, the pokémon holding it doesn't receive any of the EVs, or Stat EXP as it's called in Generation 2, and that only the pokémon doing the actual battling does.)

    ^Is this true or false?^

PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS GUYS, I've been searching for an answer for a while now and NO ONE can seem to help me.

PLEASE try to answer all my questions and be THOROUGH in your answer. Everyone always just puts like two sentences and it doesn't help at all.

If you answer all my questions and are helpful, I'll definitely give you Best Answer.

  • Pokémon experts, PLEASE HELP! URGENT Pokémon Crystal Question...?

Ok, so I started over on my Crystal version a few months ago to challenge my friend with a LV. 100 Espeon and I'm currently towards the end of the game with 15 badges. I also just mated a male Corsola with a female Squirtle so now I have a Squirtle with Mirror Coat which is what I wanted for my team. Having said that, I want him to be as good as he possibly can be (stat-wise) so my question is this...

If I were to give my LV. 5 Squirtle 10 of EACH Vitamin(Carbos, Iron, Zinc, etc.) all while he is still at LV. 5 and THEN train him normally by just defeating pokémon and whatnot, would that max out all 6 stats(Attack, HP, Sp. Def, etc.) by the time he reached LV. 100?

    PLEASE KEEP IN MIND------------------>

~ I am playing a SECOND GENERATION game here folks, NOT 3rd or 4th or 5th

~ Therefore, I don't care about a pokemon's nature seeing as this doesn't help me because that wasn't introduced until later generations of pokémon games

~Also, the EV/Stat EXP training system was completely changed after generation 2 and was given a cap, whereas on generation 2 there was no cap.

~ I already know about Stat EXP/EV Training and how if you beat (Say for example) an Alakazam, he will give your pokémon 3 Sp. Attack EVs and that 4 EVs in any statistic would mean you will gain an extra stat next time your pokémon levels up and all that jazz

~ I'm not 100% positive on this but I'm pretty sure pokémon in 2nd generation games can only be given 10 of a certain vitamin

~ PLEASE, DON'T ANSWER this question UNLESS you are a POKEMON EXPERT and REALLY know what you are talking about!

  • Can you max out all six stats on any given pokemon by EV(or Stat EXP) training in second gen pokemon games?

Also... Will giving a pokemon 10 of each vitamin and then training it do so?

I am playing Crystal, although I know all gen II games work the same.

PLEASE Help me out on this, I'm trying to get my pokemon jacked so I can beat my friend.

And don't answer this unless you are a pokemon expert and are absolutely sure about your answer. Citations would be cool too.
