  • How can 3 Canadians have a legendary bachelor party in, and around Houston May 11 to May 21?

We love hockey and love to party. I envision this party having a 3 day RV trip, maybe an Astros game, lots of strippers and many bad intentions. Does anyone local have any suggestions?

  • New home deficiencies question?

I am building a 2-storey laned home, with an unfinished basement. My final walk through, before possession, is in a couple weeks. I went and looked at the builders progress yesterday and they are substantially complete and are on schedule. I noticed a few deficiencies and I'm wondering if the build should repair them before I take possession.

    1) There is a 'niche' feature by the entrance, basically a rectangular indent that is a foot deep and runs from the floor to the ceiling. The top and bottom of this feature are not square and the centre is about an inch wider than the top and bottom, which gives it a 'bowed' effect.

    2) There are a few corners on the wall where you can still see the edges of metal trim through the mudding. As-well-as a few 'nial heads' showing through the mud

3)The drain in the laundry room, on the second floo,r isn't tied into anything! They ran a pipe all the way from the second floor to the basement drain. There is a 1-1/2" to 2" pipe that has a 90 on the end of it that sits on the basement floor and would drain onto the floor and then eventually into the floor drain. The pipe rests beside the 1" condensation pipe that runs from the furnace. This seems pretty stupid to me, is it normal?

    Thanks.

  • Keeping my psoas stretched while working at my desk?

Would kneeling (balancing) on a yoga ball while working at my desk help me keep my psoas stretched? I am having a bunch of problems ranging from leg pain, lower back pain, and abdominal pain to testicular pain. My sport’s doctor (after two years of MRIs, x-rays and tons of discomfort), has come up with the diagnosis that my psoas is way too tight and needs to be stretched out. He contributes most of the problem to me spending over ten hours a day on my ***. So, I need to come up with a scheme to keep it stretched at all times while at my desk.

  • How do I become an Electrician in Alberta?

Here’s my situation. I’m 27 years old and have been working in the road construction industry for over 10 years (For the same company). Currently I am an estimator and project manager and I hold a diploma in Civil Engineering.

I really hate my job and miss working with my hands. Honestly everyday is worse than the next… So you could say today is the worst day of my life. I’ve been looking into many career changes and being an Electrician appeals to me greatly.

How do I go about getting an apprenticeship in Edmonton? I’m worried that prospective employers will take one look at my resume and laugh.

  • Employment recruiters that will help with migration from Canada to the US?

My wife and I are considered skilled labour. She is a Radiographer and I am a Civil Technologist. We want to migrate to the States for the weather, and I'm not sure how to go about it. From research I know we will both qualify for a NAFTA visa, but we need to find work there.

Does anyone know of any employment recruiters that could help find us employment?
